Sigurd's refine really disappointed me, despite the fact that my hopes and expectations were lower than the Marina Trench

Petrine having the counter roar icon on the refine is a neat detail to her being branded

Love it. My +10 Lyon is still unusable

I'm really happy with Byleth, I love supportive effects for my arena bonus units and he really delivers..

IS think this refine is worth losing Crusader's Ward to replace with Seal Def. Let that sink in for a second. What the fuck were they aiming to do with Sigurd

Byleth got an interesting refine. My accidentally +6 Byleth is going to enjoy this.

I'll never forgive Mia for stealing the Time's Pulse effect Sigurd needed Fr tho, very happy with Byleth's refine. Good support and good for himself too. I just wish his special had TP4 instead of TP3 or that he gave out one more effect to allies, like either half of his new Tempo effect. But i guess they are saving that for L!F!Byleth's remix.

They’re probably making L!sigurd buffs mid because they’re cooking with emblem sigurd

I'm very happy with the Summer Mia refine. Yeah, she lacks of true damage, but she got the other effects that I wanted for so long. Definitely gonna try to +10 her in June.

Kinda funny how Mia post refine became cav line relevant again, but as support lol. I do really like the refine for that alone, canto or true damage would've been nice, but I can't complain about more support in Mia emblem

For me, Its Byleth because he gives NFU and Neutralize Penalties to Allies

I have a +10 L!Sigurd and i am just really disappointed with what he got outside of the Canto Rem and some extra stats, i used him in Arena and sadly that’s probably where he will remain

As a M!Byleth fan, I’m so happy and smiling silly at his Legendary’s alt refine. 3 Columns and 3 Rows drive NFU with Atk/Spd +6 and Atk/Spd penalty neutralization is nothing to yawn or sneeze at. This refine is gonna make me +10 him now. I feel bad for L!Sigurd fans tho. His own son outclassed him in the cav refine department.

Imagine being IS and thinking TA/CA actually matters in this pre-combat damage meta.

Crusader ward could be remix too

Sigurd literally needed the bare minimum and they somehow even messed that up. It feels like he purposely designed to be weak because they want to sell Emblem Sigurd in the future.

As a player since Year 1, it's insane to me that most of these units gained a ton of effects yet they are not considered meta.

Honestly, I can vibe with Mia's refine. I particularly like the pulse effect for AR-D so that it's a bit easier run certain setups like AoE Igrene w/fatal smoke, precharged Iceberg for V!Lyon, etc. Not a super outstanding refine, but one I can get behind

kind of wish lyons refine would have something similar to formortiss’ end turn effect, but maybe thats too hopeful lol

In comparison to previous Refine badges outside of maybe Byleth this one was overall kinda disappointing ngl. I was really hyped for Petrine and Fallen Lyon especially and ngl… sure it helps a bit, but eh. :(

The funniest thing about Fallen Lyon to me is that he has basically been forced into having 2 other green tomes (Brave Soren and Gatekeeper) support him in order to really make himself work. Very disappointed in his refine, but Laguz Friend and the shift to AoE being so strong at the very least means Lyon is in a better position than he's been in a long long time, refine or no

I was expecting something else for Petrine (maybe too much), but all in all, it's not that bad. As in, I've seen worse refines for my favorites, at least hers is usable and gives her a little cute niche. Definitely so much better than what she had before

You hate on cancel affinity+TA but in a lot of situations that 16-20 extra damage against red units will be what secures kills on a Laguz friend build.

Was hoping Petrine gotten something a bit better since I spent so much on investing her.

For what i can see, Petrine was decent to me, i was so disappointed when Brunnya's refine was announced long ago

the range on the NFU support on Byleth is great, but the fact that NFU has become so common is kind of sad for Byleth, like most of nuker have follow up manipulation or NFU already built in the weapon and there are a lot of other supports that give it, he also didn´t get the only thing he needed to become useful again, anti-scowl, for a unit that relies a ton in one tap special hit he didn´t get the one thing he needed, very disappointed with this batch, at least he is not Sigurd Mia I think got it actually better, she can now have 1 chanrge lethality and that askr type support is also great I would actually change Mia and Byleth places

Refines are essentially becoming the meme "increasingly verbose". Just using more words to describe what they already were doing.

Sigurd's refine was quite a disappointment. You absolutely nailed the three things that he needed. 1/3 works for hitters in baseball, but it's toxic for FEH characters trying to stay meta-relevant. I use Sigurd as a scorebot in arena, and it looks like that's about all he is going to be. My build on him uses his native A and B skills as well as Atk/Def menace in the C slot. The canto will make him better in arena where you only need to worry about four enemy units - in theory, he can charge forward three spaces, kill something squishy, and canto two spaces back so that he is out of range. Better than before, but hardly exciting.

Sigurd refine is decent. They couldn't go too hard with a unit that gives a bunch of movement. Petrine's is great for a ftp beast killer. Both pair well mini-minerva and blue bow Jeorge.

Not surprised about L!M!Byleth's remix not being too impactful as he was accessible on the first green dream banner. More interested to see if L!F!Byleth's remix would get 3x3 range Tempo many moons later considering how those are harder to come by than NFU.

The Lyon refine disappointed me at first look but after seeing him tanking a Legendary Veronica and Hinoka it shut me up

Sigurd and Reginn are in dire need of a new passive skill or ring that somehow provides dmg reduction piercing, as of now they're just not good enough.

Sigurds whole remix makes me so sad, why is his dr a visible buff, why does his refine only read +8 to all stats +13 damage +canto 1, why would anyone choose to run seal def. Anti stall, special jumping (even just quickened pulse) and dr piercing are all things he wanted and honestly could have gotten without being crazy, and then they could have given him a canto 4 instead of seal def. Oh well tho, ill make do with what we got

I don't even know *how* to build L!Sigurd after this refine. He doesn't want Lull 4 because he has Lull in his weapon refine. He doesn't want Trace/Alarm because he has Canto in his weapon. He doesn't want to run Gambit. Can't run Laguz Friend. He got a bunch of effects he could've easily outsourced to skill slots or supports but not enough effects Cavs don't usually get like DR piercing or Tempo. I feel like I'm just waiting for Incite A/D and some better B-skill for Cavs. No wonder they gave him Seal 4--what else were they supposed to give him? They made him bulkier with DR and healing but not bulky enough to actually tank as well as his son's legendary, let alone Emblem Ike while giving him nothing to actually help him initiate. Worst refine of this batch easily. Petrine might have competition but at least her refine is built around her role as a player-phase unit.

This is such a mid batch omg. Refines that are just slightly better but still very tame and generic imo (although i like sigurd's)

Why is it always the units I'm excited and waiting for that IS decides to not put a lot of effort in. Meanwhile, Byleth gets literally everything, Three Houses biases still going. 😢 Though I do think it's cool, they gave Petrine a Counter Roar effect as a nice little reference of her Laguz heritage.

Hope Legendary Female Byleth gets refined. She needs it more than the male version does
