Because he is luffy, he made all those things look less worse than they actually were. Ace neglected him and Luffy sometimes had near death experiences due to that and in starting dadan didn't wanted to take for him but she had to due to pressure of garp. It's just that it was luffy that made it look wholesome and funny rather than sad.

I’m not gonna ask you what loneliness means and sound all nerdy but being alone and loneliness are two different words headed in the same direction, they mean almost the same thing except being alone is a literal statement, loneliness is more of a restrictive psychological experience and anyone and almost everyone can experience it.

Naruto did have safety in his village, despite that there were several adult who wanted to kill him. In the first episode Naruto steals a scroll with forbidden jutsu, and the first thing they wanted to do was kill him, there was a group that was even planning on going behind the hokage back and killing him in the woods, and in the manga choji's dad was one of them. Not to mention Naruto didn't find out the reason he was being ostracized until he was 12, so a good chunk of his life he was being ruthlessly bullied and ignored for no reason. Maybe watch the anime before you make this argument.

This is not even close. Sure, Luffy had some rough spots in his childhood, but he was always to be able to bounce back very quickly because there were people who took care of Luffy. Naruto was lonely for almost his entire childhood and was ostracized by his village as a monster. The only reason he did not become one was because he had Iruka who treated like a normal kid.
Iruka also hated him at first because his parents also died to Kurama, he just started to be nice to him after realising he was also bullied as a child.

Just think about this way if you had to pick which life you would experience from birth till they are 18 which would you pick Luffy´s or Naruto´s.
How ??? , I have seen Naruto and seen back stories from Naruto and said alright, then I saw backstory from one piece and went wow that's dark , I would rather have experienced Naruto child hood , than some of things that happened in one piece

@@cheeseboys1700 firstly I never said Luffy had worse childhood than Naruto, well I find it hard to relate to Naruto bc I am mostly an introvert and loner I very good at keeping myself happy , Naruto suffered more bc of his an extrovert and wanted everyone attention , if I was Naruto I would have just cared about teuchi(ramen guy) and 3rd hokage and I wouldn't have cared much about the other villagers ,I might not hate the village (bc i see hating someone a waste of energy) but I wouldn't go out of my way get acknowledged by them either , if Naruto had a family that he had memories with and he remembered losing them with i would understand his pain more but he didnt , naruto never knew what loosing someone u care about felt like until way later when he became a ninja so I can't really sympathize with him that much . If I was naruto shoes ,I don't see myself going out of my way to prank the villagers to gain acknowledgement , most of time I would either be training to be ninja or engaging in my own hobbies , maybe i would eventually inherit the will of fire but i doubt what happened to naruto would have affected me that much , too me naruto pain is subjective ,if u were to ask me i would say Sasuke , gaara and kakashi backstories were more harsher than Naruto's backstory i resonate with one piece backstories more bc they are more filled with lose of loved ones, mental trauma , physical trauma and betrayal than anything I have seen in naruto
Being alone IS worse than being hurt. Also, "had the Hokage looking after him", only if you consider throwing a little child into an appartment, by himself, isn't really looking after him.
Naruto had it worst for the fact that he was alone for most of his life. The hokage really didn’t look after him that much. He didn’t have a real father figure until iruka accepted him.
Luffy CHOSE to go through some of those hardships so he could be a great pirate and he ignored his guardians who tried to keep him safe naruto had the entire village hating on him since birth due to something he didnt know or control
To be fair Naruto had a bad enviroment for mental health and Luffy was constantly at risk of dying(often because of Garp). Luffy had better mental health Naruto had better physical health.
Naruto was the son of a hokage but basically grew up poor as hell with no one truly invested in his training or him even living. We saw what kind of father the 3rd was with Asuma he was trash only person 3rd hokage seem to ever care for was Orichomaru. Garp beat up on luffy physically but it was to make him strong and even let him go after his dream of being a pirate and luffy had real friends that become family, hell naruto didn’t even have that till he was a teenager with Jiraya even kakashi put most of his energy into Sasuke
Honestly I'm gonna have to say that Luffy's childhood was pretty messed up, he just doesn't care about it and doesn't let it bother him. While Naruto cardied that trauma with him when he grew up.
Naruto’s parents died, almost dies in every arc, is the reason Jiryia has that gnarly chest scar, was hated by basically everyone in his village, and was unable to properly use jutsus and was harassed by everyone due to being a jinchuriki, and having his best friend abandon him. Keep in mind that basically ww4 happened on his birthday and neji also died on his bday along with like 50,000 other people. oh yeah i forgot one the only person that gave more than a shit about naruto died to some dude named pain, after that there was only 4 people that gave a shit about him, ichiraku and iruka when naruto was a little kid, sakura after the land of waves ark, and tsnade after the search for tsunade ark. All that really happened to luffy is him being thrown in the woods, he thinks sabo dies, robin leaves then they save her, and ace dies.

And we didn't even mention the fact that Naruto had no parents and at least Luffy has a father, while not directly involved in his life at least he has a fairly good reason for why.
One of them literally had a fun childhood that did have certain unfortunate aspects but the other had literally no one and hated everything. Like if he had the option luffy would 100% go back to being a kid but naruto would not
What is fun about hunting your lunch and surving in the wild or with bandits. Naruto was FEELING lonely but played every day on the playground with other kids till sunset, only then he felt lonely cuz of others parents. Mental diff

Ok, it is not even close. Sure, Luffy did suffer mote physical abuse compared to Naruto, but they only lasted for a short while. More importantly, Luffy had people he can talk to if he was having any trouble. When Sabo ‘died’, Luffy still had Ace to help him process his emotions. When Shanks sacrifices his arm to save Luffy, Shanks comforted Luffy that it was ok because and that incident just taught Luffy a lesson about being ready to become a pirate. Whenever something terrible happened to Luffy, he was able to bounce back soon after, especially when he had other people looking after him. Naruto, on the other hand, only had Iruka, and was ostracized by the entire village. Sure, the Third Hokage made sure Naruto had a roof over his head and food to eat, but he rarely interacted directly with Naruto. Naruto was miserable for almost his entire childhood and he could have become worse had it not been for Iruka offering a supporting hand and believe in Naruto to become a great ninja one day.
Definitely Naruto physical pain is nothing compared to what Naruto and Gaara had to go through, his parents died even before he was born and he was kind of a direct cause for his father Minato dying so there is that guilt. Also having people hate him just for being born is in a whole other league of agony, I love both the characters but honest Uzumaki had it worse
Luffy had a pretty good child hood he had Garp, Dadan, Sabo, Ace and those mountain bandits and Naruto had an allowance from the 3rd Hokage as a 5 year old with no supervision or anything
Bro narutos parents both died and the third hokage stoped taking care of him luffys parents may have abandoned him but he still had dandan,ace, and sabo. Naruto was always alone people hated him for having the ninetails inside of him.
Everyone say that Naruto was alone ALL his childhood, but realy it was to age of idk 5 maybe 6, but don't forget about: Hinata, Shikamaru and Choji. Luffy before he get to Goa Kingdom was also alone and had only Garp (that is why he wanted to became friends with Ace and Sabo) Reason why Narutos backstory is sadder is cuz Luffy didn't care that much about the sad things or lonelynes (tell Sabo died)He was still going and geting stronger and he was smiling when he was happy, Naruto was smiling even when he was sad.
Yeah this is Naruto, at least Garp visited at least meanwhile the Hokage was absent that it was just a joke like the guy was tasked with taking care of Minatos son and none of that happened.
Also Luffy had a voice on the matter. Naruto was forced into his life of being alone and sad while Luffy chose to do most of it. He made those friends, chose to not rat them out for hours of torture. He willingly chose most of the sad things which arguably makes his less sad then Naruto's

Dont even wanna compare them its more than enough to say that they both were equally tortured and suffered at the beginning but later found wisdom and their journey long or short was their path to happiness and peace
Yeh I know how much loneliness hurts i am even crying while writing this but I always had to put a smile on my face wether it is real or fake i have no friends because of constant transfers and my family lives too far away
I love luffy but tgis is literally a debate of who had it rough from the beginning. Even sasuke said something in their final fight when he was using his shadow clones. That he uses his clones as a distraction of reality that naruto is lonely and was alone from the beginning.
