2:36 There had been incidents where a plug got removed from one side of a sewage pipe, sometimes by nature, sometimes by accident, sometimes by people working to clear it, that result in sudden suction on the inlet. If there is a person or anything on that side, it will be sucked in. It can be a violent suck, especially if the pressure or elevation is high. I worked in rescue service in a developing country years ago and the biggest culprit was a sluice gate. Once open, water level drops, movement in the pipe, suction on another end. We had to retrieve the bodies often. Mostly animals, pets and cattle, but there were humans, especially small ones. It's dangerous. That guy was super lucky.

The roof fall reminds me of my black friend back in HS in the early 2000s. He was at a party in a town who loved to arrest and prosecute underage drinkers. Well, cops show up, he has a really good spot to hide in attic storage with the entrance fairly hidden in the back of a closet. But he was a bit hammered, missed stepped on the insulation and 1/2thick drywall instead of a Joyce and fall through the garage ceiling onto a car that broke his fall, and his arm. I find it surprising how clean the pipe guy was. I would have guessed he tried to do an "Andy Dufresne" but then there would have been police too, and he would be way "less clean looking".
@@nirfz He didn't really look '...fresh from the shower...' to me. However, running water will rinse off the surface 'dirt'; doesn't do so much for the bacteria and stuff. I do wonder the nature of what was supplied by the pipe.
