Before Friday, I didn't know who DJ Pooh was. He did produce It Was A Good Day, which is my favorite Cube song.

I know dj Pooh as a musical genius.

Warner Bros. put the film in Turn Around and wanted us to do House Party IV, written by Takashi Buford. "Gary, if you do this film your career is over." I said. "Well I'm meeting with Takashi tomorrow.", he said. The next day I called him and said, "I know you didn't agree to make that bullshyt film?" He said, "I asked him if he had anything with Action in it?" Gary said. "He said he had a film at Propaganda about four Black girls robbing banks called "Set It Off". I said, " Rhonda, Mikki Blair and Regina King's Sista' Reyna work and Propaganda. I'll call her and get the script and let you know." I said. I read the script in about two hours was so excited, I called Gary's Agent(Brandt Joel at UTA) set up a meeting and the rest is history. ~TKCAL

Not true. Made respect for him. Other than Friday his movies are shit. Reginald Hudlin studied film. Went to Harvard. Poof is a master of music and talented. Cube has more talent film wise. It's not close when comparing him and DJ. But Friday was lightning in a bottle.
