After reading the final Dr. Sun arc in the Essential Tomb of Dracula collection. Where we learned later when the Doctor showed up in THE MAN CALLED NOVA. We learned that he faked his death by extracting the brain from Juno after Rachel Van Helsing had killed him. It seemed that that TOD writer Marv Wolfman had plans to being back Sun after this penultimate battle with Dracula all along. I always wondered if had the mag gone on longer would Sun return to menace the Lord of the Undead for a fourth time originally. And, or juat decided to use him somewhere else ? Something that I'd always liked to ask thw writer.
I don’t know why they never made Doctor Sun into a major villain. I take it not many writers were interested in using him or didn’t see his potential. At least you saw enough to do a compelling video on him. I would still like to see a vid on Scourge of The Underworld and the U-Foes.
The guy took out Dracula and stole his powers, without use of his own body. Respect is due. Honestly, I'm not sure the avengers beat Doctor Sun, because the minute they get in range, they are going to get mind controlled and commanded to stomp each other. And, the U-foes are definitely interesting. I will definitely add it to the list!
@@reviewwithyou2 Thank you. The U-Foes much like Doctor Sun are highly underrated. The last time I really seen Doctor Sun was in Vol 1 of Alpha Flight. He appeared as a member of the villainous team Omega Flight.
Doctor Sun is great under Marv Wolfman for co-creation with Blade the Vampire hunter. Doctor Sun is a great opposite to Dracula and a cyborg who'd been ideal in the MCU in a conspiracy for immortality.
