I love this so much.... It's such a delightfully Oxbox mixture of professional media industry marketing best practices, and charming explosive gamer chaos. It's like when Jane wanted the fans to stop buying Oxventure tickets because she was supposed to make a trailer and she was afraid there wouldn't be any tickets left, or like any XKCD strip with my favourite character Beret Guy at a meeting, or like any time Oxtra strolls on camera with -Pokemon Magazine- their new content strategy and ends up shooting an arrow through their studio equipment... Or the nutmeg incident, or biking up the wrong mountain in GTA, or insisting you only made one merch item and you're not sharing it, or promptly throwing an explosive grenade at your Hitman target and getting away unnoticed. All the right *parts* are there for a stuffy and boring professional media outlet, and yet something is clearly not quite right, but somehow it all still works out, and it's just delightful.

Oh boy the Hallmark channel is wild. It does seem like the epitome of like "white upper middle class housekeeping", though. You should check out Jenny Nicholson's video on them if you haven't before; You would not BELIEVE the Game-Of-Thrones-level power plays that go on at Hallmark.

I guess the reason it's so mind boggling is because our senses and minds are used to the (approximately) euclidean universe we call home. With the example you give of the spherical space, you could build a triangular building with three straight walls and three 90° corners (because the straight lines wrap around the sphere). If the walls are straight and vertical then the upper floors would be larger that those below (because vertical surfaces point towards the center, forming a wedge shape). These geometries might seem obvious when demonstrated on the surface of a sphere immersed in our space (essentially, when seen from "outside"), but the people in the stories are immersed in the non-euclidean space, so their senses also have to work within the space. The unusual properties that are apparent when considering the space from the outside are no longer so easy to observe. Of course, as the shape of the space gets more complicated, being within it would get more confusing. I assume the vast mutterings of the great old ones encroaching on your mind doesn't help much either. (P.S. sorry if this is patronizing to the OP, but i figured more details might interest other viewers)
