Haha definitely, you could see he was having a hard time getting any responses from her. Props to Eddie breaking the tension there too with "Just say you let your jiu jitsu do the talking"
The match that really impressed me, was when Grace competed against 4 time world champion Rikako Yuasa and took it to a draw when Grace was only 16 years old.
2:27 I really felt that because I started BJJ in 2017. I was at a different school (Gi and No-Gi) for 2 years before it closed then found a different gym, but I left to train 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu a few months before COVID. We re-opened with masks on for like 2-3 months, and it was tough. Eventually family matters occurred and I had to take about 6-8 months off. Now I’ve been back for about 4 or 5 months, and I’ve never been happier. I’ve been a white belt for 5 years, but it’s all about the journey of the martial arts. I’m happy to be where I’m at. That aside I love Grace Gundrum. She’s a hero of mine❤️
Shes a fuckin BEAST! Anyone whos taken a computer science CLASS let alone pursue a whole damn major knows how much time that takes ALONE! Wait..wait a minute, it all makes sense now, shes simply taking the rage her computer science classes are building inside her and unleashes it on the mats, genius...
Grace gundrum now she is almost 21 years old and still undefeated she has done wrestling for power and strength 💪 and ju jit su where she is a master she is just amazing 👏
As someone with the last name Paulson, i got scared af by the fight club clip cuz I wasnt looking at the screen and all I heard was HIS NAME WAS ROBERT PAULSON😂
What I see is that she has a serious shoulders internal rotation, and a very bad upper back posture. If 10th Planet is good at winning, doesn't seems like conditioning, mobility and injuries prevention is part of their programme. It shows how grappling is still a new sport and many even winning do not know nothing about sport awareness. Not surprised as it is lead by Eddy Bravo.
Grace Gundrum uses the 100 Percent position from #Butterfly to attempt a sweep, transitions to the #Triangle and gets the tap. #BJJ #JiuJitsu #NoGi t.co/DLvIanBh0D
Yeah, if you could just go ahead and tell us how Grace came to grow up in Philly after being born in China, that would be great. 😅 Been watching Grace's matches for a couple of years now, she is totally awesome! I did not know she was born in China. So her parents are naturalized Americans from China? And who is her opponent here? She is no slouch either!
Good critique 🕺🏽. I couldn't find any confirmed details on that so didn't want to include anything that might have been wrong/an assumption on my part. Hoping to get more in depth profiles in the future with real interviews (my degree is in journalism and I'm finally doing something fun with it). Alyssa Wilson of Checkmat was her opponent at EBI 3: www.jiujitsutimes.com/full-video-of-best-match-at-ebi-3-grace-gundam-vs-alyssa-wilson-stole-the-show-at-ebi-3
@@MejiaComedy Thanks for the reply. Just realized my question "Who is her opponent here?" was for a different uploader's video, I asked you by mistake Am familiar with Alyssa, she was great, don't think she's still active though. In one Grappling X match she took down her opponent with a flying triangle and submitted her in about 2 minutes.
Honestly I'm not super religious. But my Uncle is a Preacher. You can hear him rap about how God is good here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4mLUtOn9o94.html
No Dis-Hespect taken! Have trained a total of about 10 years now. Current purple belt. Trained at one gym for nearly 2 years casually (once or twice a week). Major back injury from installing wood floors...L4, L5, Sciatica...all that...sitting, standing, laying down..everything was painful. Luckily I was able to get back into it, started at a new gym that was well structured. Dipped my feet back in, trained safely and it has kept my body strong, even have been able to compete in a handful of tournaments at white, blue, and purple.
