Joe Jackson’s new album “What A Racket” supposedly features the compositions of a little-known songwriter named Max Champion. But I’m pretty sure I know who actually wrote all these songs…
"What a racket" is a great record i think. Maybe in this album Joe sing better than ever and the song are really good. One of the best album by Joe Jackson. He is in top form: "Fast forward" (2015), "Fool" (2019) and now "What a racket", are three very different album but three of the best by Joe
The algorithm suggested your video after I nerded out on Joe's new album. Absolute delight to meet you and hear your thoughts. Looking forward to hearing more in the future. Edit: I think there's some excellent scope in the album for reinterpretations/remixes. Let's see what happens.
Caught the show in Albany tonight. The Max Champion set was off the hook. Joe looked so happy performing these numbers. He’s really an actor at heart (with amazing musical talent)!
Joe Jackson is great, his biography is a delight. His "Mike's Murder" soundtrack is a great example of his piano work. Happy to have stumbled on this site.
I wish I had saw this prior to going to concert. I suprise my husband every year with tickets (I am not a fan) but like his 80's songs much better and if I had known he was bringing in the chapman portion ti this venue and when tickets where he wasn't i I would have booked tickets where he wasn't.
You sir are over thinking this. Referring to the Bishop and the Actress is very common in British vernacular and was and is used on all kinds of British comedy shows, movies etc. Think Frankie Howard and the Carry on Films. Saw Joe perform these last week in Mpls and I’d heard them all before on BB radio growing up. Hopefully Joe doesn’t watch this codswollop video about Max Champion and his good self. Why Why Why indeed ?
