I understand that it may seem harsh marking these people out but the bible commands us to do so. We would not be as critical if Mike Todd was claiming to be unsaved. However he is leading an entire congregation proclaiming to love Christ when it's clear that he is still in love with the world. Pastors are held up with high standards and if they do not meet those qualifications as listed in 1 Timothy chapter 3 then they should not be in the pulpit.

If you pay attention to what hes does its twofold. He uses him, and Tim Ross and SEVERAL others to teach how to identify doctrinal errors and not be deceived by the soft lights, soft music and even softer gospel. This also equips us to then go out and point out those erroneous teachings not only to our fellow brothers who are ignorant of these deceptions but also to call the people who are following these charlatans out from under their doctrines that are leading them into pure theological darkness. It also provides a solid base of reference for repentance and correction in righteousness if these preachers themselves choose to do so as they are being deceived themselves thinking that what they're are teaching is the truth from the word of God. You need to look at the whole corpus of Kris' work. The fact that hes focused on Todd at the moment is because he is very popular online his influence is global and therefore his erroneous teachings can cause alot of damage worldwide.

@@ramonpilgrim6623 I understand but there’s no need to use people in order to make a point or teach something. I get one or two videos but this is literally like every week. Jesus didn’t use his disciples or other peoples mistakes to teach. He just preached the gospel and the word of God. Did he tell stories and parables, yes, but he never used the shortcomings or downfalls of others to prove or make his points.

@@luisarevalojr Which Jesus are you talking about? Even when he taught them how to prayer and how to fast he literally said dont do like the Scribes and the Pharisees. Paul even instructed Timothy to mark as in clearly identify these people and he taught how to identify them, even identifying some of them by name. From your comment it seems like you need to study your scriptures a bit more in detail. Also if hes talking about Todd, or Ross, or Furtick, or any of these other charlatans every week it is because they're spewing some other form of heretical nonsense every week. Listen to the sermon from Transformation Church just this Sunday alone. The "Pastor" literally twisted and mangled the passage she was preaching on all over the place just to emphasize and support her topic. That's not biblical teaching. If you dont like what hes doing then you have the choice not to watch it. But I support his work as it is thoroughly biblical in its foundation and practice. The problem is that most Christians, particularly in the Western cultures have become so soft they dont want to encounter conflict when they are called to preach the WHOLE message of the scriptures. Were not just to tell people Jesus loves them, we gotta tell them what it will cost of they reject that love. We are commanded in 2 Timothy 4 1-3 to reprove, rebuke and exhort, with all patience and teaching, because were in that time where men are not putting up with sound doctrine but are gathering to themselves teachers who will tell them what they like to hear. If you dont tell it like it is, if you dont rebuke, if you dont reprove, if you dont correct, if you dont exhort you're being disobedient to the word of God and his command to do so.

@@ramonpilgrim6623 Sounds like YOU need to read your scriptures. yes when he referred to the scribes or Pharisees that’s a generalization . This is different because he’s calling people out by name multiple times for multiple different reasons. It’s not the same. Also, as I mentioned before, calling someone out once or twice is fine but if they refuse to listen you must let them be. The Bible literally tells us to first address them in private, then bring it to the elders, and after that, if they continue they must be excommunicated. God didn’t say to keep badgering them about it until they repent. That’s not your job. Matthew 18:15-18 “If your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have won your brother. But if he does not listen to you, take one or two more with you, so that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every fact may be confirmed. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector

He has Q&A sessions, he has sessions where he discusses different bible topics and happenings that are going in the world today and how to address them from a biblical standpoint. It's just that this is his focus. His focus is apologetics. This is precisely what apologetics is.
