As much as we are calling out Mike Todd and rightfully so, let’s make sure we also take the time to pray for Him to be renewed in the truth of the gospel. He’s blinded and needs our accountability and prayer.

You might try looking at your immoral thinking. I know you wont engage, but --- On Jesus dying for Christians, from a moral perspective. It takes quite an imagination and ego to think a god would actually die for us, after condemning us unjustly in the first place. Christians have swallowed a lie and don’t care how evil they make Jesus to keep their feel good get out of hell free card. It is a lie, first and foremost, because, like it or not, having another innocent person suffer or die for the wrongs you have done, --- so that you might escape responsibility for having done them, --- is immoral. To abdicate your personal responsibility for your actions or use a scapegoat is immoral. Christians also have to ignore what Jesus, as a Jewish Rabbi, would have taught his people. Ezekiel 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. Deuteronomy 24:16 (ESV) "Fathers shall not be put to death because of their children, nor shall children be put to death because of their fathers. Each one shall be put to death for his own sin. Psa 49;7 None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him: There is no way that Christians parents would teach their children to use a scapegoat. Good morals and Jesus speak against the messianic concept and bids us pick up our crosses and follow him.

My pastor said the most influential people in the Bible (David, Abraham, etc) were financially abundant, yes, but at the end of the day they were more concerned with God's heart than doing well financially. Changed my life when I heard that.

Hello am Kendi from Kenya,Africa.I had been trapped in the whole online preachings from pastors like Mike Todd and Joel..I had started to feel ,c9nsidering am african,just because i dont have money then am not praying hard enough,or my faith is not strong or there is sth am not doing.But I got out of that when i listened to Paul Washers sermon and Voddie Baucham.Still,.I am at a point where i feel like giving up because it seems like everything am doing to make life better for my parents back here is not working.I am struggling so much and am exhausted.I got a degree last year and there are n9 jobs in Kenya,my mom and dad total day's income is like 4 dollars total.I dont want to give up,God has given me a chance to be alive and that means,If i keep trying,one day,one day I will help my parents .God is not finished with me. And here I am asking strangers on the internet to pray for me..for things to get better.Thank you.

I am 3 years post-tithe bondage. Nearly 13 years of the jewish way giving with 3 tithes plus matching offering to the tithe. It was nearly 30% of the net income. What a freedom to learn the truth of cheerful, free giving! And that I am not under the covenant that tithing was required.

By GOD's mercy alone, I have been part of a biblically sound Baptist church a few years now. There has never been a single sermon on tithing or anything to do with wealth, gain or money! The church operates by a constitution which mandates AGMs, where finance is reviewed openly. Budgets are agreed on by the whole Body and where there is a shortfall, it is the Body who decides to give, cheerfully and according to the leading of The Spirit. And The church continues to thrive. To GOD be the glory!

How hard it is to follow the Lord. He tells us to give everything up for Him, for the Kingdom, which is as a treasure in a field that a person would sell all he has, just to obtain. If the Kingdom of God is not worth giving up everything, not worth being unattached to all worldly things, then the Kingdom of God is not for that person… It’s important to remember that our reward is not in this world. Our treasures are stored in a place where they won’t perish or be corrupted or stolen.

Amen. This type of behavior will always happen, just remember how long the Israelites wondered in the wilderness and God was right there, and still they weren't satisfied and complained. But God who is still God gave...I'm glad this world is not my home 😄

What people don't understand is that they're not reading their Bibles money does not have anything to do with planning a seed what they don't understand is that the seed means the word of God so you plant the seed which is the word of God and God Yahweh will do the harvesting the word of God is the seed when you are worshiping and putting your trust in God he will take care of you God Yahweh told Joshua in Joshua 1 - 8 when you meditate on the word day and night do according to what is written and your way will be prosperous and you have good success job 36 - 11 says if they obey him and serve him they shall spend all their days in prosperity and all their years and pleasure. Far as money you give according to the purpose in your heart not of grudgingly or necessity for God loves a cheerful Giver

His reminds me of Job & his friends. Purely transactional God relationship as if Job had failed a ritual to please God... His friends said "Job you must have done something to deserve this wrath" We don't serve a banker but a GOD who chooses to bless the poor and the rich on his time and in HIS way. What's up bro. First, I love the channel and pretty regularly tune in. The videos you've done on Marcus Rodgers, and prosperity gospel are the ones I watch the most. Great work. I am a pastor and like you, I totally agree that we are not under the old covenant and should feel no obligation to tithe. The biblical model is clearly to give according to what we have decided in our hearts. I also vehemently reject the prosperity Gospel and word faith movement. I would like to express an exegetical difference that I have with how you explained 2nd Corinthians and your citation of Luke 6 when you quoted jesus's words. Anyway we can chat by email? Peace

I was thinking about this the other day. Some people are only willing to give because they think "God will just give me more"... but at that point, doesn't that become transactional? I thought we are to give and have faith that even if this is my last dollar, God has placed me in this position to give because He is using me to answer their prayers, and will return that to me. I don't know if that makes sense, but I what I am trying to say is just blind faith in every decision we make. Not just for more of the luxuries we have on earth.

I have to say I partly agree with you both. I do believe God blesses those who give, but not because they expect it or not for them to store it up for their own riches. I believe He gives to those who know how to give or how to use what they've been given to bless others. In other words, He can trust that person to keep giving to others rather than keeping it all to themselves.

Of course it's not Mr. Todd's money he's giving away, it's church money. He really SHOULD be sowing the Gospel but I don't think he knows the Gospel. Jesus is NOT God's tithe, He is the one who gave His sinless life for every despicable sin in my life. It's the ultimate example of God's love toward man. It's shame that Mike Todd is not aware of this.

How does a pastor pay his tithe? He takes it out of his back pocket and puts it in his front pocket. Tithe people love to cherry pick the old testament, there are 2 other tithes but you will rarely if ever hear about them. One is in deutoronomy 14, and it was for the festival's and was for you and a levite and a sojourner to eat and celebrate to God. The other was every 3 years for the poor. Robert morris says Jesus was Gods tithe to us meaning Jesus is 10% of something. Morris is a money man, need to increase the giving in your church ? Get ol robert he will have you raking it in. You should of course give to your church. Paul makes it clear the pastor or elder should be paid, the lights have to be paid for, i don't know about the megachurch and their multi million dollar churches. Seem to me that guys like morris who is supposedly worth 50 million , could they not live well on 5 million? They seem to never get enough, i think thats why some never seem to retire, private planes are very expensive.

This is destructive theology. That's giving believers a,"false hope"that you'll get a return on tithing. I went to a church where the pastor and his wife would badger people at offering with multiple offerings until the goal they set has been satisfied. Talk about pressure. I literally put my whole check in an offering. I was believing for a financial miracle. I was very gullible in my early 20s (1990s).💛💛💛 We must pray that He'll know The Truth through The Holy Spirit.
