Worthy to join the ranks with HK-47, K2SO, and Triple Zero. Among all the killer droids out there, Mr Bones is probably my favorite, not just because of the name, but because he is a B-1.
Fun fact, I actually got to talk to Chuck Wendig at Phoenix Fan Fusion a few years ago and we talked about the Aftermath books and Mr. Bones and I asked where the idea of giving him such a creepy personality came from and he said he also took some inspiration from the skeletal form of the B1s and wanting to make a personality to match in addition to what you mentioned here
Mr Bones quickly became one of my favorite characters after listening to the Aftermath audio books. You get all the sadistic humming and gore sounds and it’s delightful!
I love that Mr. Bones has some of General Grievous' programming, not sure why but that's just a detail I've always appreciated. I had such a laugh when I saw this character was in the game and I mean that in the best way. I couldn't believe they took such an obscure character, put him in and made it work and feel unique. Stuff like this is one of the highlights of the game for me
Another amazing video and I always love seeing obscure character or from the comic being still use to this day so people can see why the comic is amazing and speaking about character not alot of people know can you do video on the brotherhood of darkness or markas ragnos
I love that he is in the Game. I have very few star wars novels. Only Darth Maul in Iron, the Master and apprentice series and the first Aftermath book. I would have never thought that a character from a book that I read will be that prominent and he isn't even the first. Cobb Vanth is also in that novel. Sadly I wasn't that far in the book so I got a little spoiled if you may say so and didn't know Cobb when he debuted in the Mandalorian. And how could I forget that Snap was in the sequels aswell
You left out how Mr. B0nes liked to dance and had a almost like ballet dancer program as well. It was one of the reasons why he would hmm to himself while killing. He was dancing while doing said killing…
For those who found the present tense of the Aftermath series difficult or possible to read/enjoy, it works very well in audio form. The audio books of the Aftermath series are well done, with special effects added and a great voice actor; Mr. Bones in particular particularly shines, with the actor's voice being properly modulated, and it is both hilarious and terrifying to hear the murderous lines coming out in the normally more innocuous B1 vocal style.
It is interesting in Star Wars to see droids painted colors besides metallic or beige. We're used to R2 and BB8 being painted. But put a red arm on C3PO and it's all you can look at.
Whenever that show...Rangers of the New Republic happens, I'd love if Snap Wexley returned as his younger self alongside Carson Tebba and Poe's Parents. They could be fighting one of the Imperial Warlords, be it Moff Gideon's Allies or the resurgent Grand Admiral Thrawn, and on one mission, Snap decides to reprogram an Imperial Droid, so he plugs in Mr. Bones to save them.
Mister bones is my favourite druid in star wars. The scene where he murders several pirates and imperials in a dark alley, lit only by the lightning above was fantastic
I do love all the weird variations of droids that are all murderous, like a B1 battle droid and the protocol and astromech droids in the comics. Also I wish all the HKs could be made canon, I love 47, 51 and 55, all great droids, and also T3 and T7.
I'm one of those people that looked up Mister Bones. But not because of Lego Star Wars. It was actually your recent video about every Battle Droid. So give yourself some credit too!
I remember hearing about mister bones several years ago, amd i found the guy rather terrifying honeslty lol. When I saw him in lego star wars I was very excited.
I personally think that Mr. bones is a foil to storm troopers think about it they look pure with the white armor while Mr. bones looks completely corrupt one is silent while the other is complete laughing out loud yet one is more evil than the other one fights for his friends and takes control of his own life while the other is just a mindless servants to a greater evil
Yeah there are a few spaceships in this game i never had off or didn't know much about until they were in this game. Be interesting if you did some videos about them. GNK Power Cruiser/IG-2000/Meson Martinet/Mist Hunter/TIE Bomber (Chrome)/.
For Q and A Would you like to see stories based on the origins of the Jedi and sith and seeing more of a Stone Age style star wars story how certain aspects of Star Wars were familiar today be introduced in universe for the first time and seeing how tech evolved in Star Wars ? I would say one big example would be the evolution of hyperspace or how maybe seeing what kind of power source was used for blaster
I don't know Chuck Wendig, but I'm not sure he should be completed credited with the name stemming from the B1 driods, converting to Bone. The US Air Force B-1B bombers have been called Bones for decades for the exact same reason.
