@@Jay_Roze5400 Nick Fury Jr is based on MCU's Nick Fury and MCU one is based on the Ultimate Nick Fury. The writers of the ultimate marvel made Nick Fury black and look like Samuel L Jackson without his permission. After that, the MCU brought Samuel L's Nick Fury. Fans really loved him and that's the reason Nick Fury Jr came in the 616 universe.
@@hoodiek6802 It's not just another character race swap. They retconed OG to be the father of the modern Fury. In the comics he lost it while on a transport containing Logan.
OG Nick Fury will always have a place in my heart, man is just too fuckin cool. Ultimate Fury, aka the Sam Jackson version, is great too. Just not the one I grew up with. Marvel Ultimate Alliance anyone? Yeah, that was my introduction to a lot of Marvel
I grew up with both Nick Fury’s, and I personally do wish both Nick Fury’s existed in the MCU like they did later in the Original Marvel Universe. Speaking of Marvel Ultimate Alliance, i didn’t like how the third game ignored the first two games. Here’s hoping the 4th game connecting all three games, and then we have some optional dialogue where the current Fury talks about his Hasselhoff father.
They fit their respective versions of the character. Tbh both versions of Fury act like completely different characters with their only common trait being that they're both badasses in different ways
Yeah, as a fan, I definitely prefer the original Nick Fury. All the history, character development and his relationships with so many of Marvel's heroes makes him such an awesome and complex character.
Nick Fury is awesome in both The Main Continuity of Earth-616 and The Ultimate Marvel Universe and Samuel L Jackson kills it as Nick Fury in The Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Before anyone jumps on here tripping out about Nick Fury being white in the comics and black in the MCU, for you casuals he's also black in the comics too. Marvel came to Sam L Jackson long before there was ever an MCU and asked to use his likeness for the new Nick Fury and he of course said yeah.
It’s not a matter of changing anyone’s mind, Samuel L Jackson has done His Usual Amazing Job as Nick Fury in the MCU, & the Marvel Ultimate Comics based the Characters look on Him…But there is a solid Comic Book Character that Has 40 years of History who’s Creators Deserve Their Respect/Recognition as well 🖖🏾
I love sam jackson but i just perfer this design i think its the haur with the white on the sides also marvel ultimate alliance was where i 1st saw and loved fury so i just cant help but love this design
Ok but they never explain how he went from white to black in the comics, was it just because Samuel jackson was cast for him in the mcu or was there something i missed in the comics?
If you’re talking about the Ultimate Universe, which is where Black Nick Fury came from, then he just happens to be black in that universe. If you’re talking about the main universe, then that’s Nick Fury Jr., the son of the original.
This was something I never knew at the first place, he was originally supposed to be white like in the comics but people forgot about this version later on decided to race swap him in the MCU and so on nowadays for no reason
Based on the Marvel Ultimate Comics version, who based His look on Samuel L Jackson…Did they do that with the thought of casting Him in the MCU …Probably 🖖🏾
The MCU version is based on the Nick Fury from the Ultimate comics (Earth 1610) who is black. But it was retconned that the original white Nick Fury is actually the father of the black Nick Fury.
