Operator Starsky was the first Ukrainian vlogger I found in 2022 shortly after finding UATV English. We started following UATV English to make sure Zelensky was still alive each day.
Huge fan of Operator Starsky. His dad is not only military, but a hero of Chernobyl. Respect for all his bravery. Not only is Starsky very knowledgeable, he is very funny when his command allows him to be. AND, he's got fur babies, Futch and Fluffy, both rescues. Maybe someday his command will allow him or Dutch or Fluffy to make fun of Russians again.

He's a strong, responsible, competent man, but I don't know all that he grieves for, so I don't complain about anything he posts. @@ColinMor-fj3qc I meant that something changed 3 months ago. Starsky stopped doing his usual style of show and began doing the brief "Ukraine Daily Update," which is much more impersonal. I assume his command ordered him to do this and I'm hoping that will change someday. His channel is still there. 🫂

Some day, when the times are right, I'd love to see video of Fluffy and Futch. Specifically, Fluffy bossing everyone around, because we know she does that. I just saw a new post today, September 14. I was also concerned as Russia posted a compilation video of sniper attacks on military people driving in civilian vehicles. I couldn’t tell if the bodies were Starsky or not, as they were so bloody.

Starsky is grounded and has an amazing sense of humour. And he was part of why RU couldn't reach Kyiv in 3 days... couldn't ask for a better English speaking operator. Don't forget to mention that his air defence is so good that not even a Ukrainian drone can survive on his watch... he's personally better than the air defence around moscow.

At the start you flashed a clip of him saying "Good day everyone.....", I think in honour of BOJO (Boris Johnson) who at the start of the re-invasion was out on the front foot advocating for weapons for us here, about a month before the Americans, organising the NLAWS rockets before we got Javelins, he should start his shows with "DOBRY DEN EVERYBODY" !! 🙃 Anyway, much respect to him, a veteran of the Battle of Hostomel, a true Hero of Ukraine.

22:38 Even so simple help as watching videos, subscribing, pushing thumbs up button and making a comment can save lives for real. Those little things have huge ripple effects. I have seen several small Ukrainian utubers being recommended me by youtube because someone else had done those little things. When people find channels that collect money for soldiers needs, it will really save lives.

Another thing, Hrvoje mentioned the Jugoslav equivalent of "Srbskiy Mir", and yes, Serbians never wanted "Jugoslavija" they wanted "Velika Srbia". The irony is ,that both of those national cultures hated Tito, who broke with Stalin in 1948 and was anti-Soviet. Tito if he was alive today would have supported Ukrainain independance, that I can state as a fact, as Tito supported Hungary in 1956 against Krushchev's invasion , and the Czechoslovakians in 1968 against Brezhnevs invasion. So the Croatians who hated Tito the most, would have been on the same side supporting Ukrainians. I's actually very stupid and simplstic to compare the USSR to Jugoslavija, for starters the Jugoslavs were free to travel, and own private businesses of small and medium, but the main thing was Jugoslavia had no Kolkoz or Sovkoz, agriculture was all private in Jugoslavia. I call myself "Jugoslav" because, if you go back to my grandparents, there was Serbian & Monetenegran on mother's side, but most importantly, on father's side, grandfather was Bosnian and grandmother was Croatian (from Osijek), so it would be absurd to call myself "Croatian" or "Serbian" or "Bosnian" etc, but here we have Hrvoje the "Croatian", this is why I really can't tolerate the absurd BS all my countrymen from the former Jugoslavija perpetuate to this day. btw to end this I will say my mothers side (i.e. Serbian) of the family have all disowned me because I moved to the land of their "enemy" (i.e. Ukraine) a decade ago now. The other thing to end on is I find it absurd that Ukraine is called "Nazi" because of Russian BS and the history of choosing the lesser evil in WW2 to break free of Soviet genocide like Holodomor . The only real Nazi lapdogs in WW2 was Croatia and it's Ustashe government. Go figure, times change, now Croatia are the good guys and the Serbs are the lapdogs of RuZZia, siding with evil.!!!! But the history of the Balkans Slavs is tied to the "beli: i "crveni" (i.e. white & red) Horvati, the ancient Slavic tribes that lived in what is now modern day West Ukraine over 1,500 year ago, where I am IDP for over a year with my wife after leaving our home in Donbas. I have come full circle, from the Balkans bak to where my ancient slavic ancestors came from, when they migrated to the Balkans to escape the bad times of the Golden Horde and the Kyian Rus collapse.

Everyone who had a hand in holding Hostomel in the first days of the war is a hero. They changed the course of history. If Hostomel had folded early then the Russians would have landed the troops put a perimeter and hopscotched the lines potentially allowing Kyiv to fall. For me when Ukraine held Hostomel it was like a ray of sun breaking through a horrible storm and they proved that Ukraine had a chance to fight back. Now they will win with our continuing support. Like all heroes he does not aggrandize his own contribution. Leveling the playing field a bit more with F16s and ATACAMS will make a big difference. A memorial should be built at Hostomel to courage , national unity and grit , all great qualities of the Ukrainian Nation in this tragedy .

It is important that young people know, They are the culture of a country. They make a neighborhood, village, state (Oblast) -- forming a country. Old people just go a long with the ways. What can regular people do? One suggestion I have is to write comments on the Facebook pages of Russian Embassies which still operate in many countries around the world. 💙💛
I would rather spend my time writing to my country's politicians to keep up the support. Writing on an embassy's page isn't going to change anything, it's not like they're going to read your comment and go "right, our war is illegal, better stop it". They're just going to delete your comment and ban you (it's their page, so easy for them to do). Reporting every troll comment you see in any comment section might be another thing you can do that might be more effective and doesn't cost you money. Or debunk stuff when you have the feeling that they'd many naive readers on that comment section who need to be educated. Most effective thing to do is of course to donate money to orgs who bring material to Ukraine. Personally, I have set a monthly budget that I donate to varying orgs. But I understand that not everyone has the means to do so. You could also volunteer in your home country to help refugees if you have time but are short on money.
