Doherty is a hard character to understand, likely was pre-disposed to addiction. According to his mums autobiography he had everything he wanted and was happy growing up, his claims he hated the barbed wire etc more recent. Certainly an amazing musician, last great band before social media and the internet changed music forever. Can't stand me now, time for heroes, fuck forever, so many songs that are simply amazing. Hope he lives out the rest of his life with some peace in his soul
