Kinda he also has the same problem as Manhattan as he lacks humanity hence why he was doping to suppress his powers but Manhattan regained his after meeting Superman
@@skeletoncrew6500 ye he wasn’t the first hero. But he was the first comic book superhero to have powers. But he is still the father of all superheroes.
i like how even though he’s another manhattan, but he has a differing origin story. i really empathize with him being overwhelmed and taking drugs at first
I'd even argue he's more powerful than Manhattan. Manhattan never quite acknowledges he's a comic book character, he even said in the original Watchmen that he couldn't stop complete nuclear destruction. Godlike as he is, he isn't a genuine God and has limits. Similarly with Flashpoint, he needed Barry to break time before he meddled. And he couldn't even kill Zoom for more than a few minutes.
Same.. I know the continuity isnt super clean, its the best ive seen in years, and the fact that were seeing good instances of taking chances with characters as well as trying to continue and maintain such continuity, makes me want to see more expansion.
Like, just imagine him showing up in one of the more recent storylines like maybe before they fully reboot in the universe(or whatever it's all leading to) and he just says "Hi, I'm Clark." to end an issue...I feel there's so much potential for this.
That might have been the greatest feat of power I've seen any comic book character do. Tap into to the canvas and read a comic book within a comic and break the fourth wall telling us he can perceive our world just like a comic and read our thought bubbles. That's crazy. Has Manhatten, Beyonder, Molecule Man, Living Tribunal, Phoenix, HOTU Thanos, IG Thanos, or any multiversal entity done anything close to that. That's crazy. Anyone of them probably could but until they actually do one can assume they can't. Of course one could easily look at that as simply the writers fooling around making a joke because at the end of the day the character wouldn't be able to back those words up or even prove they can do any of what they claim. They can't prove they can actually see us or our thoughts. It's not like he can say what I'm wearing right? Quantum Superman: a gray shirt with a hood Me: ??????.....
It's awesome that Quantum Superman is based off of Dr Manhattan. Dr Manhattan was based off Captain Atom who was based off Superman. All supporting that Superman is the influencial center. All before confirming this in Doomsday clock. I love that in HBO'S Watchmen they named Dr Manhattan's alias Cal (Kal).
With the powers of the original doctor Manhattan the Batman who laughs was able to completely destroy perpetua after all Dr Manhattan was a being of sixth dimension but imagine is Batman who laughs got the upgraded version of doctor Manhattan I mean the power of a eight dimensional being then imagine what he would do with this origin of doctor Manhattan who is 2 time as much more powerful than his original counterpart I mean doctor Manhattan John osterman who is a six dimensional being
With the Stargirl TV show released six episodes, Can you do history of Stargirl and the Justice Society of America and the villains Brainwave and Icicle?
Talk about the Superman that is black & bald with a staff looking like black Moses! I forgot the issue but he up there in the ranks with Quantum Superman I think the name was Harvey Dent & it was apart of Tangent Comics
Why hasn't anyone gone back into the past to save more Kryptonians, to our time, why have just one with all that power! Did they know how truly powerful thier species was, and is it why they had those awful laws in thier soceity!
At one point brainiac attacked krypton and stole the city of kandor, even with all their advanced technology and getting themselves empowered by a yellow sun, brainiac defeated krypton's military might and took the city. This shook krypton to the core, making them fearful of other extreterrestrial beings. So they abandoned the outpost and settlements they made offworld and retreated back to krypton, banning space travel forever and became a xenophobic society that drove their world to ruin over centuries till it eventually blew up.
war lord I understand that, but we see any time, they need a reset, that they use time travel to get out of it. Yet if you know of a species like them, with their power level, by just absorbing a yellow Sun energy, yet only one exists, unless they can actually mate with humans! When did they get exposed to a yellow Sun, I most of missed that book?
Great job! I would be interested to see your introduction and "how powerful" videos on Valiant's Solar, Man of the Atom (and all latter incarnations) as well as on his successor, Divinity. And, as a bonus project, how about a video comparing Dr. Manhattan, Solar, and Divinity? Please? Kudos.
He's always been one of my favorite 'hidden' characters. I'm upset that they haven't done more with him. I half expected him to show up during doomsday clock and was sadly let down.
Just reading these types of comics does that to you, basically numbing your sense of awe completely. "This guy can do [insert reality bending power]." "Mm, yeah. Okay."
Literally Hulk constantly getting buffs. Base Hulk is still very powerful but below many super powered beings statistically and feats wise. But now he’s been upgraded so many times. Immortal Hulk and Cosmic Hulk and the such.
@@wanderin_stud499 i know what you mean ,i rather have my caracters more human and limited ,so i can relate more. example, Batman. genius and gadgets. but still human ,Spider-man. Super powers but with a limit ,and he has human problems like everyone.
@@zaanninja that's not the point of DC superheros who are meant to be more admirable and not relatable. Marvel superheroes are more relatable in general.
The part that he knows you are reading a comic book about him too and on the page, his eyes are staring right back at yours.........I don't know whether to feel suddenly spooked or have another whiskey shot and just say, wow. 😳🥃
So the moral of this character is : what are we?, what is better?, what is less? What would happen to my life if I disconnected and become a hollow void? I'm a comic artist myself and I used this concept to my main characters. I think every artist thinks like me.
So he's Superman, Captain Adam and Dr. Manhattan in one. Also did y'all see the panel where Shazam was holding back an inrage Ultraman and Superman at the SAME TIME wooooow.
Is Quantum Superman really as powerful as both Bat-Mite and Mr Mxyzptlk? What would happen if the Android Amazo tried to copy his powers? Can you do history of Amazo, Bat-Mite and Mr Mxyzptlk?
South Indian version of superman Movie is made in 80's This version of superman origin: He is a rich kid His parents are killed by robbers And he asks god for powers to take Revenge When god didn't responded he stabbed himself and god appeared and ressurected him and gave him powers thus he became superman (South Indian version)
Have they used Quantum Superman since Final Crisis? Something tells me this was their stand in for Doctor Manhattan before they got comfortable using him without Alan Moore.
The crazy thing is was that before Doctor Manhattan was officially dubbed Doctor Manhattan he was called Superman! I believe the full quote from Watchmen was- The superman is real and he is American
I remember he was also responsible for creating Cosmic Armor Superman. In the Final Crisis Superman and he also helped out multiple Supermen destroy reality blitz missiles.
Quantum Superman had the power of superposition. It looks like he made copies of himself, but that implies each copy is not the original, the copy is it's own. Superposition is being in 2+ places at the same time because of quantum entanglement. The same being/entity, existing in two different places, at the exact same time.
I had never read how Captain Atom ( Adam ? ) came to be but , I like this idea of another Superman other than a Kent and how he came to be . This would be cool to see in a DC movie !
I dig this gem you digged up great video! However, last week you showed Hyperion holding apart two universes which superman has never done and you still think superman is the strongest? Also gladiator has beaten hyperion before (broke his spine) so that knocks superman to at least no 4 after hulk, gladiator (who got beaten by hulk), hyperion, then superman. If that doesn't convince you even DC says hulk is stronger. DC comics in dooms day clock have established immortal hulk is stronger than superman and doomsday. This is for the upcoming DC / Marvel crossover. You can even see superman, flash and green lantern in the issue of Thor racing towards the threat to both universes
Quantum Superman is so cool, but scary at the same time. It's all because he can help out anyone and bring them back from the dead, but he can kill them in an instant like he did the dog.
Final crisis and multiversity. There is an issue focusing on Quantum Superman that can be read on his own. It's called pax amerixana. You can also read the whole multiversity comic, but you can also read it after final crisis.
Watching this video and you explain it made me think of what just happened with dr. Manhattan and Superman and this kid that he raised could be quantum Superman new origins or something
Awesome episode. When I read the title of the video I really thought that we are getting the breakdown of another Superman, it turns out I was wrong. This character is interesting and very weird at the same time.
You guys should do a top ten episodes list for justice league, spiderman, and x men Animated series, since you already have one for batman that would be dope.
@@panthersorder2463 I dont think that's what he is getting at. It isnt a DC vs Marvel thing. If you give somebody every superpower imaginable or make them so strong that you have to pull excuses out of your ass to why they have to lose then you might have an issue.
I've literally heard "this is one of the powerful character ever, period, hands down" so many times already. Felt like there will be more powerful character out there that will be "hands down powerful character" in the future.
I'd argue he's more powerful than Manhattan. Manhattan never quite acknowledges he's a comic book character, or has that level of awareness. He said in the original Watchmen that he couldn't stop complete nuclear destruction. Godlike as he is, he isn't a genuine God and has limits. Similarly with Flashpoint, he needed Barry to break time before he meddled. And he couldn't even kill Zoom for more than a few minutes.
I do find it funny that these nigh omnipotent nearly all powerful beings like Quantum Supes and Dr. Manhattan are like “Yo, we could use Superman right about now.”
Its nice i get the feel he's the most powerful character to exist but when he could just erase a villian like darkseid out of existence in a sec but just does nothing cause he knows its has to be superman or batman or even the entire justice league for the spotlight win. Cause its comic logic. that's dope.
What actor do you think could play this guy if he had a live action movie? Also could this guy beat perpetua? Or cosmic armor Superman or that one million version?
Can you please do a episode, about Cassandra Cain's most impressive moments? I know she is BA ,but I'm not in America and i dont have that many comic books, i want to see more of her
