I have no idea why you pinned the haters comment. Sarcasm possibly, self-deprecation?. Anyways, don't listen to the haters! After 10 years of not skiing, your videos provided essential knowledge for my multiple trips this year. Your videos are amazing, well thought out, clear, concise and absolutely packed with information. Selecting the right mountain can make or break a trip, a very expensive trip for those who must travel long distances, and your videos help people make well-informed decisions. I can't thank you enough for informing each of my 3 different ski trips this year. Largely based on your guide, I chose Beaver Creek for our long trip due to your well laid out reasons for it being the best beginner mountain in Colorado, that opinion is spot on. My beginner boyfriend thanks you as well because our week there made him a solid intermediate skier while having a blast on a mountain with tons of areas he could ski. And I miss the song, I was sad when I watched the first video without it. It was raw and real and different. Yes high production values have broader appeal, blah, blah, blah. There is a reason why indie music is popular because just like your song, it has authenticity. Your videos have done a HUGE service to the skiing community, especially in Colorado, such a breathtakingly beautiful state with world-class skiing. Keep up the good work and seriously, thank you!

Pinned him as a counter-troll tbh. Idk, sometimes I just do that. I really appreciate the love. Not sure I've ever had a kinder comment, and truly, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. I couldn't be more happy to hear that we truly have helped someone, and it's this type of thing that keeps me going.

We've said it before, but it's something that truly cannot be said enough: thank you guys so much for supporting us, allowing us to do this, and always pushing us to make the next video just a little bit better. We see and appreciate everything, and when we're big someday, we'll remember all of you who were here when we were small.

I wish you well a UC Boulder. My daughter is looking at attending UCCS majoring in some kind of Engineering (she is taking her time, at least she has narrowed it down this far). I'm still a beginner because I learned to ski at Ski Apache when I was 16 but rarely got to go skiing since then - basically once a decade (or less). Last year, my family moved to Colorado (Springs) and I managed to get in 13 ski days. Even so, while I'm a more confident beginner skier but still doing greens. I'm not in a super hurry to progress, but I do want to do blues next season and do them with confidence by the following season - that should open up more of the ski resorts at that point.

Awesome man! I love the Springs, that area is so nice. Took a few dual-enrollment math courses through UCCS, had an overall good experience. Just keep on getting experience; I believe in you!!! Thank you for all of your support over time, and have a great next season!

@@SRGSkiing My 10th grader is doing concurrent enrollment at Pikes Peak State College and she really likes it. I think she plans to transfer to UCCS once she graduates - unless she gets a full-ride scholarship elsewhere.

I’m thinking of applying to Boulder next year for mechanical engineering. Is it a competitive field for Boulder and is it difficult to get in?? Anything helps, thank you!!
@SRGSkiing
@SRGSkiing 2 месяца назад
Any engineering is competitive to get into at Boulder, I'm sorry to say. But I mean, it really depends on how you stack up. I had a very high SAT and gpa, was a football team captain, and an Eagle Scout. My friend had good grades, an average SAT, and not much else and got into Boulder overall, but not into engineering. So I'd say anywhere in that range, and chances are good that you'll get in, but it may be a touch competitive to get engineering. Don't be discouraged, though. College apps are nearly just as much a game of luck as skill, and I wholeheartedly believe that no matter how you stack up, there's always at least some chance you'll get in for that.

@@SRGSkiing sick, and I’d say I have decently good stats. I have varsity cross country (2 years) and track (1 year), math, science, and normal national honor society, one year leadership program within my school, and I’ve held a three year job. I have maintained a fairly high gpa and am hoping to get above a 30 act when I take it. I’m really hoping to go to Boulder or university of Washington as those are in good locations with good programs. Thank you for your time responding!!

Yeah I got into UW but not into the major I wanted, just to engineering u declared. Sounds like you have a very solid chance of getting what you want at both universities, but of course, good luck!

As a grad of CU Denver, I advocate the Denver campus over the Boulder one unless you just want the "college experience" - maybe of my younger classmates started in Boulder and ended in Denver - Denver has more teachers that will remind you of High School - smaller class sizes and less BS, but Boulder is one of the most gorgeous cities in the nation. If you can go to Boulder on a great scholarship, GO. Otherwise find off campus housing and go to the cheaper school. I HIGHLY advocate trying to get an internship sooner rather than later that work experience will speak higher than where you got your degree and frequently your internship will hire you as an engineer upon graduation
