I feel Toby by far is the best spiderman. I mean he brought spiderman to a whole new level. His acting is so natural, the shy, kind ready to sacrifice that wholesome man. No-one can top him. The others did a great job but no-one can touch Toby 😁
after rewatching the Raimi Trilogy recently ive come to realise how bad Tobey's Peter Parker was. as Spidey he was great, but his Peter was awkward, cringey and almost every line he had came of as very unnatural. i hated all his scenes with MJ too, no chemistry at all. as Parker i much prefer Holland and Garfield
While like Toby's spider man bc this was the first & he produces his own webs naturally I also like Tom's spider man bc he has more boyish & awkard charm of Peter Parker
@@OneSouthernSimmer which the real Peter Parker is nothing like? Boyish awkward charm have never been something Peter Parker was in the comments. YOU just like Tom because he a cute little boy, that does not make him a good spider man however
I like Tobey and Andrew the best, they just really bring balance the humour with the darkness of the character so well, apart from Tom’s performance in No Way Home.
I think each of them is a piece of the real Spider-Man we see in the comics. Tobey has the maturity, Andrew has the sarcasm, and Tom has the inexperience.
Andrew Garfield has entirely different stories of Spider-Man besides the villains against him yet he is the best in the jovial fight scenes, cool swinging and nice costume. Actually, he is amazing.
LMAOOO. And don't forget his Bully Maguire form. Once Bully, he's powerful enough to take on the eater of worlds, Galactus himself. That instantly makes him stronger than Avengers combined and thanos.
They are 3 completely different Spidermen imo. They all bring their flavor. I grew up with Tobey as Spiderman, so it has a special place in my heart. Andrew knocked it out of the park, but that was also due to the great chemistry between him and Emma Stone(who is just so ridiculously good in the role. Tom, well I feel I'm too old to really feel invested in this genre anymore and can't really connect with that rendition. Tom is really great though, and I enjoy his acting talent and the physicality he brings to the role overall. It just plays too much of the MCU. Abilities: Tom Holland is the best I can't compare the actors. They were all great. But, Tobey Maguire's first movie grewSpiderman was one of the classics. Back then when we had very little live live-action superhero movies, we just had Spiderman. It was phenomenal. This began before Marvel began their projects. This is the real beginning of the live-action movies for Marvel as a whole. I would go for Andrew Garfield I mean his body, personality, and stunts...it's just that I have watch all of them I grow up watching Tobey and then Andrew, and now Tom but as I have evaluated through it...I can say Andrew did very well I mean he isn't called "THE AMAZING SPIDERMAN" for nothing...also he played his character very well and out of the 3 of them I really love his stunts and the way he swings...it really feels like his Spidey...I grew up with Tobay but I like all 3 of them. To me Tobey was the best Peter Parker, Andrew was the best Spider-Man and Tom had the best suits. But gun to my head I'd pick Andrew as my favorite out of the 3 of them. I liked them all in the role, but I really felt that Andrew Garfield brought the most personality and the best action sequences. He was the best at moving and posing like Spider-Man. Watching Tobey Maguire is my personal best. He brought Marvel into the spotlight. And back then he had no advanced techno suit. No help from Iron Man. Not so advanced CGI. Just has really good acting and amazing scenes top 3 You can never change My mind about Tobey being The top 4 best Spiderman. Spider Kid:- Holland Spider Teen:- Garfield Spider-Man:- Toby Maguire Spider-Girl
@@dumb_guy_official_mamajema3462 I did watched it today in Theatres. I think u haven't got my point. The first spiderman trilogy really established the foundation for spiderman and all of Marvel, period. That Spider man didn't have anyone to gift him fancy suit. I don't hate tom and Andrew. Tom did awesome acting in nwh. It's just the nostalgia i think, as Tobey will be the spiderman for me till my last breath.
@@swarnimraut3841 if we’re being technical that was Blade that showed you can be a commercial success as a superhero movie. Spider-Man was already a way more popular comic character so it only makes sense his movie did wayyy better but the script was also just done well for its time.
I’m going to be honest, I think Tobey Maguire’s spider-man is the best. Even if he doesn’t have the most advanced technology in his suit, he fights with skill and heart. Edit: I didn’t think this comment would blow up. Thank you for the likes, my first time. 🎉
My biggest gripe with him is that he should be more talkative and humorous when as spidey. Other than that i absolutely agree, there is something that buggs me about Toms for some reason.
@@vitor-vp4hw Well its a part of the character. The perfect slidey depiction imo is the ps4 version, where they capture everything to the smallest detail, but live action its definetly Tobey's regardless if he drops jokes as Spidey.
Well yeah. I can explain it for you. Tobey's Peter was selfless and altruistic, always putting others before himself no matter the cost. He had such a great sense of responsibility that he sacrificed a lifelong dream in order to be able to help others with his power. Even when life kicks him in every way imaginable, he continues to think about others. Andrew's Peter is the complete opposite. He's often selfish, and sometimes an asshole. He steals an ID card to sneak into Oscorp and is amused when the innocent, actual owner of the card is dragged away by security. In contrast to Tobey, Andrew can't keep shut about his secret and tells Gwen on their FIRST DATE. Moreover, he can't distance himself from her for two weeks, not even after he swore it to her dying father. Something that Tobey did immediately without no one having to ask for it, and only failed at after several years when she discovered his identity. Andrew puts his needs first. Tom's Peter is not as bad as Andrew's, but he still has ways to go. When fighting against the robbers at the beginning of the first film, he accidentally destroyed a grocery store. He didn't give a shit about destroying an honest man's only source of income. In Washington DC, he ditched his teammates and returned as if nothing happened. He doesn't do the hero job because he cares about others and wants to protect them, just to suppress general threats to him and his city.
I love Tom and he is a great spider man but Toby's spider man was the best; he was a solo act, no avengers, no Tony, no gadgets, just him and his webs. If Tom was a solo act, he would probably compete but Maguire wins, his spider man was well written-not rushed and just iconic.
The thing is, most the things your all pointing out aren’t anything to do with the actor, it’s the script. I also kind of think it’s a little hypocritical considering there are similar arguments with Toby maguire but again, things that aren’t necessarily anything to do with him.
@@joemarron9079 Yeah, I never said anything about the actors. If we talk about acting, all three of them are exquisite and they do the best with what they're given. But the discussion is about the character that is Peter Parker. The version that nails him the best, not the actor that plays hime better.
Tobey's Spiderman shown us that with great power comes with great responsibility. Andrews' Spiderman shown us that heroes are always lonely. Tom's Spiderman shown us that his sugar daddy is Iron Man.
I would go for Andrew Garfield I mean his body, personality, and his stunts...it's just that I have watch all of them I grow up watching Tobey and then Andrew and now Tom but as I have evaluate through it...I can say Andrew did very well I mean he isn't called "THE AMAZING SPIDERMAN" for nothing...also he played his character very well and out of the 3 of them I really love his stunts and the way he swings...it really feels like his Spidey....
I don’t believe any spider was better or worse. Tobey Maguire showed the hero side of Spider-Man. Andrew Garfield showed the emotion and the humanity side of Spider-Man. Tom Holland showed the kid side of him because he’s still a kid. Each of them did it in their own way. All of them were still amazing actors.
Tobey.... He is the Spiderman of THIS UNIVERSE...!❤ Because of his acting..! Talend.. He build the charecter of spiderman...! Both the others are great, but we cannot compare with Tobey...! He is not just acting... He is living.. When venom enters into him.... I felt like... He really changed... And to be honest... Tobey's suit was the best suit according to me.. The matt coluring the matrix... The body language was also really perfect... Real spiderman...!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Tobey Maguire has an inherent innocence and goodness in his character as a sensitive hero. He personified unconditional nobility which no other spiderman could in my eyes. I think Tobey Maguire will always be the best spiderman.
Tobey Maguire is my personal best. He brought Marvel into the spotlight. And back then he had no advanced techno suit. No help from Iron Man. Not so advanced CGI. Just really good acting and amazing scenes.
Big shout-out to Andrew Garfield the most. I will never 👎🏾 dislike 👎🏾 him. I 100 💯 percent like 👍🏾 Andrew Garfield the most! He is a real superhero 🦸♂️ 🦸 🦸♀️ who will always be remembered!
Tobey Maguire went through pain, loss, anger, hatred and major character development. Its not just about comedy and fancy fighting, its about the character and his heart
@@boltz44 Not even remotely close. When did Hollands character come close to going evil? Who, besides iron man that he knew for like 3 weeks died and changed him? Not even the same.
exactly and as much as people want to bitch about tobeys biological webs it made more sense as well because first off you get bit by a spider get all its abilities except the webs that doesnt make sense so yes i really like tobeys spiderman he was more mature toby was the adult version andrew was the teen and tom is the kid versions all touch 3 different bases of the character tobeys being the best because it was more mature and was deeper than just comedy he has shown heroic feats pain loss anger all what you said which neither of the other spiderman has shown or done he put others way before putting his self even dealt with taking the blame for his bestfriend fathers death .
Tobey's story is written so well that it's satisfying to see him as Spider-Man. This is why Sam Raimi's Spider-Man works so well. It makes you feel like Tobey truly deserves those powers he has.
So you’re saying that just because Tobey’s story is good, makes him the best Spider-Man? Well, thats a weird way to deside who the best Spider-Man is. In my opinion Tobey’s movie is so unrealistic. And Tobey’s fighting looks trash. I think Andrew is the best actor
@@jonasrl_5147 I don't think you understand how great Raimi's storytelling is... Raimi shows us that Peter Parker deserves to take on the responsibility of being Spider-Man straight up. Therefore, when he puts on the mask it feels right because it seems like he is a genuine hero trying to do better. A person who truly understands that his powers are a gift and a curse. It wasn't just about fighting villains. It was about choices and consequences.
@@jonasrl_5147 No problem at all. Seems like you and I both like Spider-Man for different reasons and that's beautiful. This character is great. I think we can both agree on that haha.
@@zardits9091 idk, it's not really something that should be that much of a concern at all as it's mostly hidden, but I'd at least liked to see Peter's intellect in designing the web shooters and literally a new compound.

Exactly Toby's Spidey is the closest to the character. Peter Parker supposed to be awkward and unfunny and not cool. Tobey Maguire absolutely nails it. Andrew Garfield is the worst version of Peter Parker in my opinion, he's cool and funny which is definitely not what Peter Parker supposed to be. Tom Holland is just kind of meh to me
its abt who plays the best in BOTH rolls....tobey was a good peter....andrew was a good spider-man....tom was jus amazing at both...as the vid stated he acted as a teen would wit that power....fhuked up a few times...was childish and used old movies as strats...plaed wit legos still...i mean if stan lee sed tom was what he imagined while creating spider-man then u cant really argue wit the creator
Tobey Maguire has the perfect complexion and body proportions, his performance doesn't feel forced, there is also more classical practical effects on his movies and the suit is just great, for me there is no actor like him, it's the best Spiderman, nobody has come close to topping him yet.
When I watched No Way Home everyone in the theater clapped when Andrew came out but everyone clapped, yelled in excitement, and stood when Tobey came out. That answered my question on who is the best spider-man. They've all done a great job but my favorite will always be Tobey.
@@remimoncondhuy7559 He did tried to kill sandman at one point however, because of the influence of the symbiotic suit/black suit (Venom) in Spider-Man 3.
Tom Holland has the fan advantage simply because of the blockbuster Avengers movies. Maguire was the first modern Spidey and also has that nostalgia factor. Yet I think Garfield is closest to both the humor and fighting style of the comic Spiderman, IMHO. I started buying them in the 70s. Ben Reilly/Scarlet Spider (clone)-- Parker's clone was always a more serious personality, bordering on sad. Maguire fits that perfectly, and his moves are nowhere near as polished as Garfield's. Reilly was less... practiced and experienced than Parker. I find Holland to be annoying, honestly. It might be my age. Though an argument could be made that Spiderman used to annoy all his friends and that's why he was usually solo.
I do like tom holland and Andrew Garfield spiderman's but my favorite one is Tobey Maguire He's cool brave and he knows that He would sacrifice his life for anyone That's what makes him the best spider-man ever.
@@biscuitbiter8345 He was good at potraying the character of Peter Parker but, when he was in the spiderman suit he was too serious to be spidey. Also, the suit eyes didn't move so he looked a bit expressionless.
He became an everlasting meme (hell, his entire trilogy did) that's still relevant even to this day, while Tom only became a temporary meme with "Mr Stark I don't feel so good", so this guy doesn't know what he's talking about, he's been bought by MCU executives like the rest of websites to say that Tom is the best without any flaws (despite the obvious fact that his interpretation is not even a full-fledged spiderman yet, he didn't even know how to use his spider-sense until Far From Home and don't get me started on Uncle Ben), but it's more than obvious that for most people it's still and will always be Tobey Maguire
thats also his biggest weakness, hes just stuck with what he has and no improvements can be made. hollands parker can add anything as hes essentially iron man now
But also that’s the least comic accurate so it’s like a 50/50 Edit I have not read the comics I have just heard it from other people so idk why I said this
I don't think nostalgia = best. That's not a good merit to judge things. That being said, I like all three equally. Tobey: Iconic, whatever you wanna call him. Great character arc throughout his trilogy and really showed the struggle of being Peter Parker. Andrew: Clever, confident and funny, perfectly embodies Spidey's personality under the mask. Tom: Best casting and acting of any portrayal of Spidey I've ever seen. Nice colorful cast of characters in his movies with a more modern take. People like to bash him for not being like the other Spideys but you can't take a friendly neighborhood Spiderman, thrust him into a world full of other established heroes getting the attention of the Avengers, and expect him to just be in his little bubble like the same old same old.
I really love how mr. Garfield being peter parker... How he just enjoyed saving and talking to all crimes he has to fight on... Specially how he cries for gwen... I cries a lot to that..❤❤❤❤
Tobey felt more real, raw, and emotional, while keeping Peters goofiness. It felt like Spider-Man. His villains are also some of the best villains in any superhero movie, minus venom. Raimi also demonstrates Spider-Man’s signature traits much better. Tobey is constantly smacked around, but keeps going. His suit is torn to shreds and he’s almost always close to dying. But he never gives up. Finally, Tobey’s Peter shows empathy towards all of his villains, offering forgiveness even to his Uncles murderer. Andrew was an amazing actor with the wit and intelligence needed to be both Spider-Man and Peter. But the writing and basically everything else worked against him. Andrew carried the entirety of the Amazing Spider-Man movies, but one man can only do so much. Tom is great, but the high-tech element just doesn’t fit Spider-Man. They tried to make him a new Iron-Man, but that’s not what Spider-Man is. Their desire to implement him into the MCU really works against him. He also just feels like a normal student, not a wallflower. Tom’s Peter also doesn’t really show the same intelligence, keeping Ned around for the computer stuff. With all of his tech designed by Stark, he doesn’t feel like a struggling student. The nail in the coffin making Tobey the best Spider-Man? Aunt May is so sweet and perfect. I’m not a fan of Hot Aunt May and Andrews Aunt May doesn’t get enough screen time.
i really agree with you but idk about garfield he spends nearly the first quarter of the movie as an asshole looking for his uncles killer and at the bridg scene actually learns to be spiderman
@@adamsavage2646 it’s not nostalgia dude. Or bias. I just came up with tons of reasons why the Tobey series is better. All you can come up with is, “Nah nostalgia and bias”. The only reason people like Tom is because it’s new, he’s young/pretty, and because it has a bigger budget.
@@adamsavage2646 vulture is great. He actually really fits the bill for a Raimi villain. In fact, he is almost exactly like GG. Even the final fight scene mirrors each other. Both villains do an incredible job. The only reason vulture is lower for me, is that Peter just met him, so there’s less impact. He’s just a another criminal who happens to be a father to some random girl Peter likes. Even the theme of forgiveness/redemption rides the same wavelength as the Raimi villains. Mysterio was ok. I like their attempt to make him a egotistical conman and gain Peters trust. But there’s also a lot wrong with him. First off, my main gripe, is that his powers are lame. His only deal is that he has Starks drones. No powers or cool special effects. They explain everything away with holograms. Next, is he isn’t convincing. The whole time he’s gaining peters trust we know he’s full of crap. Finally, his origin story. It’s just another time they decide to ride off of Ironmans fame. It’s lazy. We’ve had enough times where the villain is just someone Tony wronged.
I think the spider man is Tom Holland Because he's team is avengers captain America ironman hulk antman Thor Blackpanter and Tom Holland my favorite spider man

Tobey will always be the best. He was the first Spider-Man that made you fall in a love with the character in the first place. If it wasn’t for him doing such an amazing job we wouldn’t have all these new reboots
No the first spider man was a 60s comic. This is the issue, 2000 kids think that’s spidey, the comics spidey isn’t as goofy and quiet. Andrew at least had the comedy and funny remarks. Holland seems to have it balanced out and he still younger than the others. Spidey wasn’t a total nerd or a badass. He was human, a man, relatable, caring, worried about his aunt, made out with a lot of women lol, smart and passionate. He the most normal character ever and that’s the point, we all see a touch of our self in him.
@@thomasbeall9069 dude that’s comic. The movies are what matters. He literally made Spider-Man famous and gave it a big boost. The first real spider man movie and there’s a reason why most know him as the best and the first. I think Toby is the best, he can pull the quite easy going nerd look off, and when Tody had Venom you could clearly see something was off. Hes a good actor and a great spider man
Yeah I even remember buying pencil boxes and bags and everything that had tobey maguire’s Spiderman....And tobey’s Spider-man Will always be the best for me
@@ritamn2239 Andrew's character seems way too cool honestly. He doesn't "feel" like spiderman when I look at him or hear him speak. Just carries himself like he's arrogant which feels weird as spiderman.
Not gonna lie to you but people seem to mainly like him for the way he acted as Peter Parker. His Spiderman was not as it should've been compared to the comics
I always liked Tobey's Spiderman the most. He was the first and most iconic of them. He had organic webs, which I think makes him the most realistic Spiderman, and a good portrayal of Spiderman's physical strength and his Spidersense. I also liked his understanding for the villain's motives and personalities in the Spiderman trilogy, and also his portrayal of the nerdy, weak Peter Parker who developed into a strong, caring Superhero who was ready to sacrifice his life for others. Andrew's version always put a smile on my face with his great sense of humor and making jokes in serious situations like interacting with criminals. He also showed how much he suffered when Gwen Stacy died and that the humourous Peter Parker also had a more depressed side full of emotions. I also found the way he swang acrobatically in fight scenes very cool. Tom Holland's Spiderman was always my least favorite, despite him having awesome suits with great technology and designs, and high intelligence, and his capabilities while using them were stunning. His emotional side was also a very good trait of his version, as he had moments when he just couldn't hold back his emotions anymore and showed his weak side, with many insecurities, which I found very fitting for his character's age and fear of the world's dangers. So, in my opinion, overall: Best Suits: Tom Best Character/Personality: Andrew Best Peter Parker: Tobey Best Spiderman: Tobey Tobey wins for me.
@@user-ev2gv9zk2t Does Andrew have a suit with an instant kill mode? No. Does he have an armored siut with Nano-Technology and built in Spider legs with razor sharp blades? No. He just has a bodysuit made of durable cloth and goggles.
@@bruhdestruction1440 nice joke bro. Actually Tom is the weakest one of them all. Tobey maguire don’t need the spider suit, with his black jacket alone he can easily kill tom.
Tobey Maguire is the one that is the most humanist and he’s a natural one too having the capability to generate his power from his body not any tech although his movies are dated they still have a good touch of great actions and never get old as you watch them
to start in the comics spiderman also has gadgets for the canvases, for the one who is more human andrew is more human he argues with his uncle who is human, he fails like a human, he shows us a darker side from spiderman he even became violent after gwen's death, i respect your opinion but in my opinion andrew was the most human
Tobey's version inspired me the most. He had the best and possibly the most dangerous supervillains in his namesake movies. He went through so much darkness, from the villains killing people he cared about, the symbiote turning him temporarily evil, and even the PTSD stuff from Spider-Man 2. And yet, in spite of that darkness, he bounced back and kept going. He kept on being Spider-Man no matter how miserable it made his life. He sacrificed his personal happiness to ensure everyone else was safe. I didn't feel that same way when watching Andrew nor Tom. EDIT: Thanos is NOT a Spiderman villain. Tom’s version fought Thanos in only the Avengers movies. Thanos wasn’t in Homecoming, Far From Home, nor No Way Home. He also isn’t in Spidey’s rogues gallery, so please stop bringing Thanos up. It’s not a fair comparison to Tobey and Andrew because neither of them got the chance to be Avengers themselves. We are only comparing Tobey’s trilogy, Andrew’s duology, and Tom’s trilogy.
tobey's spiderman is litteraly the least accurate from the original (comics). he is WAY to boring and nerdy as peter parker, he is way too old (actor), he has no sence of humor and he litteraly shoots his webs from his body. I loved the original spiderman when it first came out way back, but honestly, tom holland does everything best.
@@palazie5274 I’m gonna throw some dirt in your eye. Just kidding. I like Tom too, but Tobey is still my favorite. Accuracy to source material doesn’t matter that much anyway; it’s execution, and with all the different Marvel multiverse variants, “comic accurate” becomes vague. Accurate to what? The mainstream 616 universe? The Ultimate universe? Why should I discount Tobey for being different from one comic variant when he could very well be identical to another comic variant?
@@palazie5274 At least Tobey Maguire doesn't have to use super high tech and advanced armor and items to be Spider-Man. Unlike Tom Holland. But I still like Tom Holland.
To throw a wrench in the works, Tobey is my favorite movie Spidey, but not my favorite Spidey of all visual media. That would have to go to Josh Keaton in the Spectacular Spiderman cartoon, for I believe the writing of that show nailed the perfect balance between a solid Peter and a clever quippy Spidey.
