@@peter_zamunda You go back right before Medo was added in replacement of the time format robot, that's when he died. It's been a month or so. As far as I know Agad never addressed it in the channel, which is sad. He did post something on Twitter though, I think.
Fisher, I am told, was sometimes an asshole but also an interesting mind, a sharp whit and had some level of class. Hans, not so much. There was a Hans in every one of our high school chess clubs. You remember the guy who wanted everyone to like him. The one who mistakenly thought that blowing hard was his best chance at that. Yea I can’t remember his name. Never did like the kid. I wanted to but then he would open his mouth and remind us all of why we just couldn’t. It was sad. Chess club was the last refuge of the nerd in my school.. everyone was welcome. All one had to do to be accepted was not cheat and not spit on anyone else. Hans got out of high school 3 or 4 years ago. I am reminded of seeing, Pragnananda (sp?) return to India after an international tournament and his whole high school left school and came to the airport to welcome him home. He didn’t even win the tournament. Does Hans think that if he wins enough games his old high school will show up at an airport? ? Idk?
Hes a kid in his mind, he'll change for sure. He admitted he was just trashtalking for getting some attention and he asked people to understand his situation. Also, he said he will forget the drama and magnus/hikaru issues and start letting the chess speak for it self. Theres not anger, just hurt feelings and he was a bit right about many things, and wrong about many others. I sinceresly as a Magnus/Naka/Alireza fanboy, ask people to let it go, hes a person and he showed his human side, he was a character and he doesnt deserve that much hate, at least not in the future
1:39 there you have it, one of the longer unsolved misteries of the universe just revealed itself: what was Antonio doing at the beggining of (almost) each video when he strechs down and says 'sorry 'bout that'...
To be fair it was pretty clear after Magnus had an insurmountable lead and Hans started throwing hissy fits every 30 seconds that Magnus just started making moves to waste time rather than actually trying to win as many games as possible. Alireza really seemed to be pushing for a win in every game until the clock hit 0.
I haven't watched since the very beginning of the channel but I'm with in probably 60 or 70,000 subscribers from the beginning. I have never once heard the audio issue that Antonio leans down to correct. 99% of my viewing is done on a handheld device and often on Bluetooth.
Agad on daily basis: Watches Chess Agad when cousin arrives after 25 years: Drinks Beer and Watches Chess with Cousin Always thought you were ducking below to buzz in the mailman. Now I know better!
Agadmator is spot on here re picking that first game. Really was the whole game in microcosm. Hans had quite a few chances but ultimately blew them. Same as with this game. Magnus clearly still stronger at this moment in time.
I'm still very suspicious about Hans, how is it possible Hans beat players with caliber of Wesley and MVL with such an ease that even Magnus had hard time tor beat them like that and then coming to semifinal and being toyed by Magnus? Is it possible organizers were extra carful when he faced Magnus so he was not able to use occult aids?
Magnus beat Wesley 22-7 in the SCC last year, by a much more significant margin than his match against Hans. Also those SCC matches were played with proctors, how is he gonna cheat with someone literally there watching
While analysis an extremely serious tournament in his unique videos, Agadmator STILL talks about some funny nonsense stuff such as his speakers, and that's why WE LOVE YOU! You are very honest, funny, and you don't cut your videos!
You forgot to mention Hans’ fuss about technical issues with his computer while being behind with 7 points and 3 minutes remaining on the clock. The audacity!
I root for Hans but he definitely needs coaching on how to present himself he’s holding onto many resentments and of course the ‘I am so great’ comments sounds childish Magnus a true champ and acts accordingly he doesn’t really boast or try humiliating his opponents except on the Chess Board Great Games thanks Agadmator
I thought Magnus took his foot off the pedal in the 3 + 1 and 1 + 1 sections. Even at his worst Magnus knows Hans isn't going to take 6 games from him. An analogy - a 100m Sprinter so far in the lead they slow down before the finish line. What could've been 9.71s ends up being 9.89s.
Tbf I thought Hans played decent chess. He stayed with Magnus throughout the middle phase of most games. But Magnus found ways to keep the game going and Hans simply got outplayed in the endgame. But who doesn't, against Magnus?
@@mrbrightside2937 The scoreline was horrible but the chess itself by Hans wasn't bad (ofc at some point the gap was too much to play proper chess). Magnus just did his thing in the 5+1. Other than that 1st game (and one other game where he got crushed from the opening) I honestly can't remember an outright blunder by Hans in that section. Just small inaccuracies that got punished ruthlessly
@@nikhildawani2913 Ridiculous! You just saw what Alireza did to Hikaru, that was his worse defeat throughout his career and by the way Alireza has beaten Magnus twice this year
@@satarkhan3692 that was rapid and this is blitz and bullet ,I agree alireza is in an insane form but bro,I think when magnus is motivated to win something then there is very less chance he loses that tournament in my opinion
Wait. Kramnik, the “champion” of anti-cheating in online chess, is training the guy who’s been found three times to have cheated online? Like “Hans” would say: “Does not compute”…
Fischer was never “tutored.” Jack Collins from the Hawthorne Chess Club described himself as a mentor, but Bobby was still a 13 year old and not remotely close to candidacy status.
@agadmator what did you think about the interview Hans did with Gotham chess? The chess he played is good but his attitude was absolutely despicable comapring himself to a revolutionary and was very impolite towards Levy.
This is dumb on like 3 levels. 1) agad doesn't address chess drama. 2) he's a chess prodigy. It just is the case. It's not despicable to admit it. You can argue he is not revolutionary, but the there are some things Ben said that indicate he sees the board different than a lot of guys. 3) levy was biased in his coverage towards Magnus. You can say he wasn't, but go back and look at Ben finegold's coverage of the incident. Should he have not been rude. Maybe. I don't think so. Levy isn't in his corner. He has no obligation to be nice.
@@jacobwinkelman4704 that s a bit easy no? Hans insults people and calls them sick and delusional, that s just not really "human"? Is Hnas a great chess player? Yes he is, his evolution is amazing, his personality not really. He calls out people and when his mistakes are pointed out he starts "yelling"
@@sebastiaanvandenbrande8625 I would have act the same or worse if banned for no reason during a merger.... there are money at stake for all the party involved, it's not just kid's play, and players, vloggers, have played a strong role in this saga.
@@sebastiaanvandenbrande8625 hans is being held to a standard nobody else is. When he goes 9-19 with hiki and congratulates him on the win. Hiki uses that as an opportunity to dunk on him and say "there are only 3 players on the same level" but hans earned it because he cheated online as a minor so hiki's year long campaign of dragging a 19 year old's name through the mud and classless behavior is forgiven. Calling people delusional isn't mean. It is the case often. Like you right now. You're delusional.
@@jacobwinkelman4704 Well I do not agree with everythning Hikaru says. Take into acount Hans has been calling out Magnus and Hikaru for quite some time so Hikaru hit back. The same behavior Hans has been showing. Hans called them delusional and sick and called it a personal vendetta against him. You can call me whatever you like , it s the internet and free speech is a good thing. What Hikaru said about the level was also correct, Hans is not at the level of Hikaru Magnus and Alireza. Hans' behavior was not classy either.
At 15:22 pause the video, Hans played b5, hemming in his rook, and I thought I saw you reach for the bishop on h3. So I was thinking ... Be0 traps the rook! Or not...
I wonder why nn one plays Bc4 after a6 because the bishop can be sacrificed after b5 by taking on F7 which forces black to take and because it can't castle and will fall behind in development eventually
