Yeah, it's not even fair. One explodes into nothingness. One becomes the immortal, god killing, reincarnation of an ancient general complete with incredibly powerful relics and favored by Azura. One takes on the mantles of Pelinal Whitestrake AND Sheogorath after participating in a whole slew of other incredible events. One is the favored child of both a dragon god and mother nature. Not fair. Glad Pelinal got it. Him being a time traveling cyborg who loves genocide and moths.
"The protagonist characters are the greatest warriors" BRING IT YOU KNIFE-EARED PUNK! MY SWORD IS SHARP, AND MY SHIELD IS REINFORCED! Lol . Nah, in all seriousness, this is a pretty awesome list A shame there weren't any orcs on here
Pelinal killing Khajit thinking they are elves is understandable. There is a breed of Khajit that looks almost like an elf. They are called the Ohmes. They have pointed ears, no tail, or fur.
Hmmmmm😂 it just sounds like a bunch of elves trying to hide from ol Pel Whitey. Them:"Noooo sir, no elves here, just us Beastfolk" Pel:"You sure look like knife ears." Them: "Nope we're khajit." (Doom music starts) Pel:*kills everything with lasers*
@@jvaschagas1082 hmmm on one hand that didn't happen until thousands of years later, on the other Pel was probably a time traveling cyborg who knew this would happen. So he aced them right then and there. That or he just loved killin and doin war crimes.
I've basically convinced myself that Pelinal is actually just the PC of an Elder Scrolls game that hasn't released yet*. And unlike other PCs where the canon of what they did comes out later, he's special in we know exactly what Pelinal did - which is to say beat everyone's ass everyone for fun until he decided to go along with the main plot. aka Standard ES PC
Orcs being the red headed step child of the TES races don't really get as much shine as Nords or Redguards when it comes to famous warriors in lore. But thier is one obscure but pretty badass orcish hero called Usunok who was a champion of Trinimac that hunted and killed giant beasts with his bare hands, one example of this was that he was able to kill a full sized mammoth with one punch. So Usunok could have been the physically strongest warrior on Tamriel, since he was killing giants beast with a single blow. Still wouldn't say Usunok is one of greatest warriors due to how little we know of him, so we have less feats to go on but the raw power he is described to have possessed is impressive.
Just read up on Usunok and he is quite interesting! Wish there was more lore surrounding orc warriors so I could have put some on this list because I feel orcs are the most superior fighters, surpassing Nords.
@masterneloth I imagine the average orc warrior is stronger than most other races warriors, but because of that, they don't really have any stand-out warriors because they never really need any
Hands down pelinal. I also think that there are a lot of parallels between pelinal and achilles from greek mythology. Both are from divine descent, have God-crafted armors and weapons and their "madness". Achilles=greatest warrior in ancient Greece, pelinal= greatest warrior in tes
With the theory that the atmorans split into the Giants, which became taller but dumber, and the Nords, which shrunk but stayed smarter, it doesn't seem so far fetched, that Ysgramor wielded Wuuthrad in only one hand, since he himself would have been taller than any man on Nirn living today, and maybe a Giant himself. That the dwemer are commonly called "Dwarves", despite being just as tall as any man or mer, due to apparently being small in the eyes of the atmorans would give that some credibility. On the other hand, that would diminish his deeds somewhat, since dominating over the snow elves and the Giants doesn't seem that hard, when he and his companions were Giants themself. Unless the "Giants" back then were even bigger. Also, if Ysgramor really was tall enough, that Wuuthrad, a big, two-handed Axe, was a single handed Axe to him, that would mean, that his shield was not much more than a buckler to him. And then there's the theory, that he and his companions were such larger than live Figures, that they became Dragons, in a metaphorical sense.
If the shield was about the size of a buckler, I imagine him using it like a Targe and just strapping it to his forearm while using Wuuthrad with both hands.
Pelinal killing things left and right, founding cities and falling into madness and going into blind rampages that even the divines had trouble reigning in... now I don't recall calling my Dragonborn Pelinal but this story does sound eerily familiar.
Dayum I want a full game of Ysmir's story. It sounds cool as hell, especially the idea of *being* so cool that you get revived several times in order to keep being cool by aiding in several large matters.
It was cut before release that pelinal had a lover. They changed it to that he was just a friend so he seemed less like he needs mortal desires and is more god like.
While not the greatest warrior of all time I believe Faolan/Red Eagle deserves a spot on this list. He drove the Alessian Empire out of the Reach. Then kept them at bay whilst being vastly outnumbered by the imperial forces. Even when he was finally brought down he supposedly slew thousands of soldiers during his last stand. A truly formidable warrior in my opinion
When it comes to ysgramor, I always like to remind people that we really only ever get the Nordic accounts, which will be pretty obviously biased. Of course they're gonna exaggerate all the cool stuff their supposed god-king did
Player characters in elder scrolls wouldn’t work for these types of things. Players can be mages, stealth, pacifists, etc. Just too many variables going on there with blank slate characters who have so many choices on how to make their character and how to play.
it would probably by the hero of kvatch the vestige needed a God's power to not even kill but 'injure' molag bal but the hero of kvatch is a literal God
I have a theory that pelinal whitestrake is the coc sheogorath who went back in time and changed tes history. White hair, madness, extremely powerful. If you think about it, it is really not to far fetched considering this is elder scrolls
So a few things I'd like to note, Placing Ysmir Wulfharth and Pelinal Whitestrake on this list is a bit tricky as they are most likely gods. Ysmir, according to the arcturian herresy became a part of talos forming an oversoul of Tiber Septim (Hjalti Early-Beard), Ysmir Wulfharth and Zurin Arctus, as such you could say that he is now part of a god. Than again the arcturian heresy is only one of the theories surouding talos and, while the most plausable one, not a 100% canon, as most things in elder scrolls arent. Pelinal Whitestrake is refered to as Ada by two of the songs of pelinal (Specifically Volume 3 and Volume 5) and also IIRC pelinal is the son of Lorkhan so he is in a way a god in the same way as other Ada"s are (A demigod would work more probably but either way he was a deity). I do get why you placed them in the list but they are in a way a bit tricky. Eitherway great work on the video, like how you research before you put stuff on the list which is something not all people do.
What is the difference between sword singing and bound sword? I know sword singing is meant to be super powerful but idk it just sounds like bound sword
Bound sword is conjuration magic, conjuring a sword from another plane of existence. Sword singing is learning to weaponize your own spirit, an inner strength made manifest.
3:51 I have a theory ysgramor was a dragon priest and his masks enchantments enhanced his strength and fists and carrying capacity and two handed skill and hp and stamina by incredible measure
The answer is whoever sunk Yokuda with his sword, but we don't know who that was nor if the stories are actual fact. Can't forget the Ebony Warrior who "did everything". Finally, while not the strongest, shout out to the Ascendant Lord for taking on multiple MCs.
Pelinal’s creator/author expressed that the conquering/abandoning kingdoms part was a historical conflation of many different people. Also, that Pelinal is a gay cyborg from the future.
Gormlaith Golden-Hilt, Falldir The Old and Harkon One-Eye are the greatest warriors of all time who battled Alduin the World Eater high up on the Throat of the World and use the Elder Scroll to banish him to time portal into the future & freed all the nords enslaved by the dragons & again protecting all the souls of all the great heroes in the Hall of Valor at Soverngard by teaming up with legendary dragonborn for the final battle against Alduin's rage, and won.
Who you calling lowly bandits!! "By Ysmir, you'll pay for that! You picked a wrong time to get lost, friend! I'll tell you what? You start running so I can stab you in the back!"
Well, let's see: I defeated Aldruin AND all of his dragon priests. I killed Harkon, and also cleared out every vampire nest I could find. I went to Solstheim and put an end to Miraak's false reign as the Dragonborn. I cleared out every bandit camp of bandits and every nordic tomb of draugr. I even defeated the Ebony Warrior. And for icing on the cake, I killed Nazeem!!! So, I guess that makes ME the greatest warrior in the Elder Scrolls! . . . . what have you done????
Would it not be the dragonborn or dovakin? And if not the hero of kavacht since they are both player characters and thus infinite in strength but in terms of Feats the domain would be slightly better in that term no?
If not for the stupid Deus ex machina about the little girl throwing a sword, the Snow Prince would have been one of the greatest warriors in TES lore.
I actually love that bit of lore. It’s very real that powerful warriors can be brought down by feeble means if they aren’t careful. It’s also quite poetic.
Tiber Septim is difficult to list because of his many “heads” or personalities. Technically I already listed him with Wulfharth. Additionally, I think of Tiber Septim more as a great general or emperor and less warrior.
I actually read the entirety of this book before making this video, however Hlaalu Pasoroth only has that one tale and not much else. Also I felt that being a master of heavy armor does not necessarily make an individual a great warrior compared to Frandar or Pelinal.
Ysmir died too many times to count to get the recognition of the best, so many times in fact that he should not be on this list. A normal mortals with a single life had achieved more then Ysmir had in nearly 4000 years as a warrior. Besides he is basically a demigod, which again should remove him from qualifying for this list altogether!
pelinal is not a basic bitch answer the man killed umaril....UMARIL the son of Et'ada god/gods of a previous kalpa (kalpa= a previous universe before the current universe of elder scrolls)
The answer is: THE PLAYER 😈 we have the strongest power in all of Tamriel and any realm. The power of the save and load. Enemies are sitting ducks with the power of foresight
He did? Huh, I thought it was Aurel who did that. Am I incorrect or is that some dragon break b.s.? To be fair I’m not very familiar with Trinimac outside the ‘incident’ that created the orcs.
