In that Iconic cage match, a young Mick Foley hitchhiked to MSG to see that moment. And At SS 97 and IYH Breakdown 98, Mick attempted to replicate that move.
1. Montez Ford bc he gets crazy height and his form stays consistent. 2. Lio Rush bc he gets so much momentum behind his frog splash that bounces off of his opponent after he hits hit. 3. RVD bc his frog splash had so much power behind it while guys like Ford and Rush have more finesse. 4. Eddie Guerrero I don’t necessarily like the form of his frog splash especially seein present day versions of it but it was consistent

Guerrero and RVD have a very different splash though. Guerrero feels like he's trying to smother and actually just put all his strength into it. Like he's just trying to crush you. RVD's is like a very precise arrow through the stomach. He's jumping so high and slamming into you with all his weight into your stomach. Both are goated and different for a reason.
I started watching in 2006 so I wasn't able to see Eddie perform. But, out of every wrestler who has passed away, Eddie Guerrero is the most emotional simply because no matter if your character was heel, or face, it didn't matter (besides the one feud between Orton and Mysterio when Orton said Eddie was in hell). The quote from Michael "This one's for you, Eddie" just shows how much Eddie was loved by every single one of co-workers. Rest easy, viva la raza

@@majicmack1605 I think Rey Mysterio did something like that, except off a springboard. It's not visually pleasing, though, as he looks stiff like a jumping salmon. The arm and leg movement really added to the move.
I think the pose that Rey does would make the move a “diving body splash”, usually he’d put his hands behind his back while doing it. I think Finn Balor also does it a few times. Also I pretty sure the usos one is more of an actual “splash” rather than “frog splash”
Just putting it out there, don’t be blinded by nostalgia, Eddie Guerrero has no doubt a legendary frog splash, but that doesn’t always mean that it’s the best, personally, I think that Montez Ford, RVD and others execute the move quite a lot better
The best is Rob Van Dam bro. No question about it. Second is....Lio Rush. Third is Chavo or D'Lo Brown. Fourth is either one of the two or Montez Ford. And fifth is one of the two or Jimmy Snuka. Say what you want,Chavo is better than Eddie and Rey. I still love Eddie though. Rey is amazing,but uhhh, I don't care so much. And Rob Van Dam is one of the best ever. His frog splash is just out of this world. Amazing
RVD has the height, weight, contortion, distance and hang time. I’ve watched this man perform it from the strangest of angles and tightest of confines. Not hating on his WWE run, but some of them shits he hit in ECW were astonishing to see. Eddie, I love you, you’re in my top 10 of all time, but I’m giving this to RVD. Seen them both live in WWE and ECW. I’m judging this one on those experiences. The Whole F’N Show!
D'Lo's is so underrated, best form imo (same with Lio Rush). AJ Styles also adopted it after teaming with D'Lo in TNA and did it the same way for several years.

RVD is probably the best to me but that Guy Lio?? Damn his looks great. Montez is A+, and I do love Seth's. But yeah man Eddie's bring the tears😭 and All the Memories. It was always such a moment when he hit it cuz you knew 8 outta 10xs it meant Latino Heat was taking the Win that night. And Honorable Mention- I'm gonna say Sasha Banks cuz Eddie is her inspiration. Full Stop. She wanted to be the Female Eddie Guerrero. Banks does The Frog Splash and The Three Amigos. It beautiful to see how much he inspired the next generation. I could be wrong but The Usos/Snuka do a 5 star splash. The frog splash has the motion in it (like a frog jump) whereas a 5 star splash is one just stretching out their limbs when they jump. RVD does a combination of both.

Eddie Guerrero, Seth Rollins, RVD, Montez Ford, Lio Rush, Kevin Owens, and Ariya Daivari also the Uso Splash is a diving Body Splash and not a Frog Splash same with the Superfly Splash, and Christian does the Frog Splash but only sometimes other than that he does a diving Body Splash same with RVD when he just fell of the ladder at MITB and at Elimination Chamber too instead of doing the full motion of the move
RVD for me has the coolest and most unconventional Frog Splash hence the five star frog splash. Plus he was the first to rotate mid air and cover long distances. Eddie's looks a lot safer though. Montez and Seth get great height.

Rvd will always have the best one for me. Not because of form, or height, or impact, but because of one little detail that NO ONE ELSE does like him. He sells his own move. Landing from that high gut first, that would kill your stomach, and him selling it made so much sense to me. Rollins does that sometimes too, but rvd is the king for that
Eddie and rob are legends but montez and seth are better than theirs... seth rollins one has perfect form and montez's one has alot of height and it's amazing
