Each variation is unique, but it can be broken down into three categories: Batista, Roman Reigns, Big Show, Dawkins, Lashley & Wolfgang use what basically amounts to an exaggerated football tackle. Next you have people like Edge, Gargano and Christian who basically use it as a surprise attack. Finally, you have people like Big E, Rhyno and Goldberg, who basically use nothing but brute strength to mow opponents over. chyup that part is true. But the reason why I put edge on my list is because of how memorable his spear was when it comes to moments like spearing mick Foley to a flaming table At wrestlemania 22 or spearing Jeff hardy off the 20 foot ladder at wrestlemania 17
If WWE would have pushed Roman literally 1 year earlier, the fans would have been behind him more. Instead they pushed the Batista project and that hurt both super stars.
Rhyno has the best spear,you can't say anything about it. Second is definitely Goldberg. Big Show is third if you ask me. Fourth is Johnny Gargano,and fifth is Bobby Lashley. Big E was close to being fifth,but Bobby's is a little bit better
That one spear to Buddy Murphy from Roman Reigns in 2019 was vicious but from my personal opinion would be Rhyno’s Gore because the Rock was selling those Gores like his life depended just to get paid to oversell a vicious Gore Spear from Rhyno because when someone gets hit with that spear, you cannot fake that because Rhynos Gore is vicious
Edge for me is the best, Ryhno, then Goldberg. Edge didn't hit spears he hit spots, put his body on the line in ways way the others didn't. I mean the TLC one in particular that's easily a twenty foot drop man... An all the shit Rhyno done in ECW and for the hardcore division.. Goldberg never did that! I get what you saying about intensity but he was just a gimmick and that's all he was, he never had an actual good match like an Undertaker, Bret, hell even Hogan had better matches than Goldberg... Hogan... Hulk... Hogan. Edge is king in my opinion.
I'm gonna have to go with Rhyno because supposedly his didn't hurt all that much but look like he just cut you in half. Goldberg's spear looked devastating because it was devastating. He actually got concussions a few times hitting his head on the way down a few times. I still like Edge's the best though. The build up and the sick expression on his face (and the hair flying back) made it look great, and it looked like a sort of "jack knife" if that makes sense. He just hit at a weird angle that made it snap quicker than other guys'.
Rhyno!!!! Wolfgang, Lashley, Big Show had horrible spears. Ziggler oversold anything and everything. He was horrible overrated and glad they finally released him
