Coming out of High School, Trey did have interest to play at FBS schools, but only at a different position besides Quarterback. Safe to say that Trey’s decision to remain as a QB & go to NDSU has paid off a ton. He has a bright future ahead!
rkwittem You’re correct. In the video, I mentioned Boise State (along with Northern Illinois) as one of the schools that wanted Trey in as a Quarterback.
@@iangallagher4135 Wentz (pro bowler and voted 3rd best player in the entire league in 2017) who was leading Tom Brady in league MVP votes before injury, was on pace for numbers that Tom Brady and Aaron Rogers didn't achieve until their 7th season EACH, and set an NFL record for 4,000+ yards passing while ZERO of his WRs had at least 500 yards receiving while he threw for 27 TDs and only 7 INTs and took a fucking practice squad into the playoffs by himself. Easton Stick 5th rounder but managed to beat out Cardale Jones as a fucking rookie. Trey Lance who will be a top 4 pick as basically a redshirt freshman who declared early out of the FCS and might be picked ahead of a Junior out of Ohio State who took a power 5 team to a Natty. Trey will be a pro bowler by year 2 or 3. Quincy Patterson 6'3" 240lbs 4 star transfer from Virginia Tech who was the backup and has the potential to be a top 5 pick with NDSU's coaching and system. The ONLY college in the ENTIRETY of college football at any level to have that type of success for QBs into the NFL is Oklahoma
It's utterly disgusting how good this kid was as RS Freshman, stupid covid, I hope he can play next season cuz as if NDSU needs to win more titles, he gonna dominate. A part of me hopes he transfers back into the FBS to test his skills against tougher competition (don't get me wrong what he's doing is pure domination and Carson Wentz got drafted 2nd overall from there), even if it's a G5 team or a struggling P5 time! Sometimes a dude gotta show off the skills to get noticed to those FBS morons.
If you follow FCS football you knew who Trey Lance was before he played his first game at NDSU. I’m a fan of South Dakota State (NDSU’s rival) and we all knew about him instantly.
Bison season ticket holder here. This kid is so fast, has a cannon for an arm, is smart and his teammates and coaches all say he is a great teammate and a student of the game. He was a freshman last year, let that sink in.
Big fish small pond. It's easier when you are going up against South East Central Missouri Lake University or South Northwest Wyoming Prairie view East. Do it against the Pac-12, Big-10, SEC elites then it might be more impressive.
NDSU literally always has a video out about their QB’s every year talking about them being the “best QB yOuVe NeVeR hEaRD oF” but then they always flop in the NFL, it’s almost as if it’s not the great quarterbacks, but just an amazing system
Flop? Are you referring to Wentz? Had a lot of injury issues but is far from a flop. Stick had very little expectations and made a team as a rookie. This isn't a SEC program.
Enter the portal instead of NFL and go to Miami. Strip clubs are awesome, swim suits and dress suits all day, weather is warm, waters are clear, the cars the bling, and your name is legendary in the city for eternity.
i remember seeing a video like this idk if this exact one hoping the cowboys could get him. But by the time he was drafted dak was doing good. Now that we got him i think it should be fun
He looks like a pro to me. The only thing I care about with the competition is his running ability. But worst case scenario he uses that mobility to buy time in the pros like Rodgers and Mahomes. This kid looks like the real deal.
Too small of a school, not enough money in schlorships. Only 23 mil head to be 100 mil. Too small of dome, only seats 20 K but hey the 2010--2020 was a great decade!! Getting kids from all over wanting to play here to get a championship ring. Some leaving FBS schools because why play on a team where you'll never touch the ball in 4 years. You're only good enough to be a possible back up, when at NDSU you can be first string & get a ring!!
You mean like Tim Tebow, AJ McCarron, Chase Daniels, Blaine Gabbert, Josh Dobbs, Kyle Allen, Will Grier, Heath Shuler, Zach Mettenberger, and Jamarcus Russell?? 🤣🤣🤣 what a fucking joke
Trey Lance is by far the best RS freshman I have seen since Tua and Lance can out throw Tua . He has miles to go before he is NFL ready and I hope the hype does not send him to the NFL to early because he has much to develop before he comes . His starting performance season is just a small window of what he can become . He has a fantastic natural throwing motion for a young QB and his pocket instincts are on par with current NFL QBs . i would expect him to have a bit of a dip in his production as a sophomore on any other team but what team he plays for narrows the chances of that. If he stays in school through his Junior season he will be the #1 overall draft pick . Hell he might be that if he comes out after his junior season though it would help his career in the NFL to play through his Junior year .
