the rare actually funny comment, a true gem among the outhouse sitting in a parking lot in 100 degree sunny california weather that is sams comment section
@@THE_MOONMAN he got pretty high by the end of the video if you saw he was up to level 5. But I assume your making a joke at his expense which I agree lmao
Hey Sam, I just want to say this is one of my favorite new games of the last 10 years, and while there’s a lot of jank to it, it is pretty awesome, especially now that you can customize your city layout. Right now, most of my city is all corporate offices and apartments, so I’m getting lost constantly, and there are a million people. Anyway the developer is small so this exposure really probably helps them. Hopefully they keep updating it with features.
When I first watched Sam all of the production went into fancy editing and cool intro montages, but it's transformed into something truly majestic. Our boy has found his groove, and I hope he never stops.
An absolute fckn BANGER of a video, Samuel! We got: - Pristine production value - Sizeable long-form content - The run-of-the-mill Samuel humour (my favourite) - Eames Lounge Chair mentioned I gotta hand it to ya, this definitely is your best vid of 2024 so far!
its a tough game to get into but if your into detective work its state of the art for what it achieves as a game. You basically have your own pinboard that you can access any time, making notes that connect from one person to the next and trying to solve the mystery as you learn more information and avoid danger. It's really a great game. Was a little too slow for me, but I can respect how greatly attentive to each facet the game is.
The amount of effort put into that "Career Defining Case" opening makes me wish I could subscribe to you twice. Edit: Holy shit Sam, congrats on making a cameo in this game! I don't wanna sound all sappy or nothin but it's been crazy to see how far you've grown over the years. I still remember when you posted that (now deleted) video announcing that you were going to become a father. You've really cemented a place for yourself online, despite how much the comment section likes to rag on you
You prob won't see this Sam but I think I speak for many of your viewers when I say that the effort you put into your videos is noticeably leagues above the competition. It feels like as RU-vidrs get more popular they focus more on churning out content just to have something new, but when I watch a General Sam video it feels like I'm watching a passion project every single time. I'm not watching someone trying to make adsense money, I'm watching someone turn their fun times into entertainment to share with the world. Keep it up man!
I just want you to know that I appreciate these. You mentioned in one of the pods that the last one didn't get much action, but yknow what those people are LAME and missed out on this elevation of your artistry
You dont get enough credit for the backgrounds and set you put together. You got the suit, the board, the right lighting, the whole shabang. Good stuff 👍
It’s sad this man puts some of the most effort I’ve ever seen into gaming videos and they never beat out a random twitch stream with guys making fart jokes in views. Great work Detective General Sam keep it up
Your first video on this came out right after I finished LA Noire for the second time and I fell in love with this game, one of the best indie game ideas I've seen in forever. I've never felt the rush of adrenaline and power a police officer gets when he beats a defenseless deaf woman to death because she was resisting arrest, but I imagine this game simulates the feeling very well.
The production quality in this video is on point! I appreciate the extra effort you take making your vids (especially this one) more thematic and dialing the entertainment value up to 11. Much love Sam!
Sam I fucking love your videos, from the bottom my heart your ability to create and communicate an interesting narrative in literally any game is fucking amazing. There is nothing quite like this on youtube.
Wow dude, the detective office background and whoever made it is so dope. A RU-vidr who actually tries and successfully completes a quality check. Love this guy.
I am /SO/ happy that even the low viewcounts on the previous videos about Shadow of Doubt didn't stop you from making yet another masterpiece about this game. And yeah, mandatody comment about forehead, yadayadayada
i Dunno if you'll see this, but I spent a few minutes wandering down the kind of memory lane you need therapy for, looking through your oldest videos. When it dawned on me I've been watching your stuff for almost a decade. Holy crap. Thanks for the years of entertainment. Best wishes to you, your family, and friends, Sam.
Really hope this game gets multiplayer not only cause i think it would be cool to have a sherlock holmes and watson type deal but also i wanna see sam use his viewers like rats to the slaughter
I haven't watched any of this video (or the last one on this game), but I have to thank you because your last video about this game made me search out and purchase Shadows of Doubt on Steam. Shadows of Doubt was one of the most enjoyable blind playthrough experiences I've ever had. I recommend playing sandbox mode in a very large city on max difficulty. They really make you work to solve cases, and I've had more than one case that I spent 10-12 hours on and absolutely exhausted every possible lead and was just absolutely stumped and had to declare it a cold case. I find the game is a little too easy on anything other than max difficulty, but the experience you get from trying to solve a murder with max difficulty settings in the largest city possible is absolutely amazing.
I arrested the wrong person 3 times. I'm only on my second case. Think that is bad, ? I was so sure one of the guys I arrested wrongly was actually guilty, I arrested him again just to be sure. He wasn't guilty. Normal difficulty
Like that Sam actually got himself into a game, and it’s a game where you can be an insane detective who breaks into people’s houses and violates every personal right possible.
I saw this video when it came out, got excited while at work, but work called me back and promptly forgot about it. Now I’m high, seeing the video, now I’m happy… also got Chick-fil-A just right now and it’s goooooood!
Hell yes I've been waiting for the return of this game. Lots of love for the work he puts into the value of these SOD vids even if they seemingly aren't everyone else's favorites
i gotta give credit to Sam for the creativity and effort he puts into his little skits at the beginning of his videos. I always appreciate them, its like a cherry on top
I love coming home and preparing a meal while scrolling through the endless clickbait titles feeling hopeless of finding a good video until Viola... A General Sam upload... Feeling like discovering a finely aged wine at the back of your cabinet, perfect for your meal.
Hey, Dad. I'm glad you're doing well, it's nice being able to watch these video thang's of ya'. Your boy is doin' well out here, they got me on Raider duty keeping all our Farms safe. Hope you get assigned back to us soon, Markus.
Just wanted to say Sam that I appreciate how much you put into the production of your videos. It was very cinematic. Even from your little intros back when you did tarkov content. It really does make these videos what they are. So thank you for the continued effort.
I need you to know this video is now being used on Steam by Shadows of Doubt to talk about the new update today. It gives a summary and talks about you doing voice acting in the game! Way to go, Sam!
You know you have a sort of style that makes it impossible to tell how much effort you’re putting in. The end result is good but I’ve never seen anything so seriously unserious.
Oh how wonderful another shadows of the doubt from Sam and seems like he's been cooking. I'm so happy to see you playing this again because I enjoyed your previous one I liked the work you put into it and unfortunately it was underrated but I think it was one of your best.
Sam back with another vid that slaps hard! bro the era of you playing story games and reenacting what you thought that character was like was prime sam you really know how to turn a boring story into an interesting one fs
False, like all H.P. Lovecraft protags, Sam doesnt care enough about sex to marry his 1st cousin. Also, he'll probably end up going insane at some point in the post-story
okay not gonna lie, the train hobo game sounds fun. i think i'd personally have more fun with it being single player but the multiplayer version sounds like it could be fun. or you could have everyone be train hobos and one person getting caught could either be the chance for you to escape or could draw attention to you as well. also, you should include hobo signs as a thing the player has to actually learn so they can tell when somewhere is particularly dangerous, if someone is nice and gives out food, or if there's a dog at that station. but honestly, fun solid idea, you should do it!
first video i have seen of yours and somehow we both named our towns Cumville..... i have never been more honored to work under your service, Gen. Sam.
Normally, my fiance doesnt like your videos as much. But when you played this solo and kept beating that woman while saying “…for that, she’ll catch another beating” had her in tears from laughter
