You actually can see Sir Humphrey's actor break - when we get the "Sun readers" line, look at the reflection of the push plate - Nigel Hawthorne just drops the paper's he's holding onto the table and seconds later you hear a huge belly laugh in his vocal range
Quite possible. Paul Eddington (the PM) had skin cancer when Yes PM was being shot. In fact, you wouldn't see many shots of him standing up in Yes PM - only sitting down. That's how weak he was during the shoot. In an interview - where his skin condition was fully visible - he was asked how he'd like to be remembered. And he said - I'd like people to say that he did no harm. My respect for him increased manifold. Now I see Yes Minister / PM clips with a tinge of sadness
