Something cool to point out is that Roger didn't grab Mono. In the pale city, he doesn't have a duty to catch children. But on the maw, he does. And before you say he didn't know what it was. As we see in little nightmares, Roger is able to tell what noises belong to who or what. Just something interesting I wanted to point out.

Roger still actually had his sight when he first got to the Maw. There is a drawing in the Little Nightmares DLC behind a door where you can see Roger’s eyes.
@@Eric_The_Eccentric The janitors not wearing a mask, so many people get this wrong. Look at his model, he has a bag of skin on his face which was at some point peeled down revealing his tight skull on top and a bandage ton of skin covering his eyes
@@oakoatoaf1080 this, could be true, but the skin could be a mask, and the reason this is assumed so much is because all the other characters wear flimsy masks, and the doctor has a Roger the janitor mask in his mask room, so there is a LOT of evidence suggesting that Roger is wearing a mask covering his skull or real face. Also, the mask part where it is peeled down would be have more muscle on it if it was his skin.
When you drop the package, you hear a metallic sound, which makes me think it's actually just his name tag, as you hear a similar noise when the Janitor chases you in Little Nightmares.
Man, this really paints Roger in a new light. Now it's a little harder to see him as a boogeyman and even more as a sympathetic figure. What if when he was capturing and wrapping the children up in meat-wraps, he probably thought it was just normal livestock? Like chicken or some other kind of meat? Remember, he's blind, he probably doesn't even know he's terrorizing children. He's probably just trying to hunt pests and is just trying to do his job, but is doing so in a VERY big misunderstanding. It makes it even sadder knowing his fate when losing his arms. If he doesn't die from blood-loss, then he just suffered a fate worse than death as now all he has is his stubby little legs.
To be fair he can still feel things with his hands, so I think it wouldn't be too hard for him to understand that he's grabbing children. Unless children being that small apparently isn't natural, so he doesn't recognize them as *normal* children and might just associate them with something akin to nomes (and it's very possible he doesn't know where nomes come from either), but it's also possible this could be more of a stylization thing. The line between stylization and being literal is pretty blurry when it comes to disproportionate, twisted stuff in the Little Nightmares world.
Roger is a nice character, or relatively neutral. In the dlc for little nightmares, if you wait, you can see that he just takes the children back to their beds. He doesn't hurt them, just wants them to go back to bed and sleep.
I personally think that the eye symbol on the package is more similiar to the one tied to the Maw than the ones tied to the Pale City, so it could very well be the Janitor receiving the invitation.

If it is Roger, then Mono was the first boy to have met him! I find that wholesome, and generous in a way because I miss him so much! I understand that it's a theory, but I like to express my belief that it's him, because of his duties!
I didn't even know this achievement existed until i saw this video, and as simple as it is, it connects a lot of pieces from the LN's Lore, it's amazing.
Wow! That’s a good theory. If that was Roger behind the door though how did he get to the Maw so quick? And if you pay attention to the Janitor he moves around the Maw as if he’s memorized everything thing that is there and personally I think that takes a long time.
yeah, he also seems to have an established authority there and an entire collection of things, not to mention how he's referenced in the second game as already being in the maw. Plus the fingers on the model simply don't match his actual fingers.
The first time I saw Monster Six I thought she looked like Roger. I figured that at some point, either before or after he received the package he was sucked into the Signal Tower, got the warped visage we see in the Maw, then became blinded by the folds of skin over his eyes.
I did think that Roger lived in Pale city, we can see in a painting on the Maw that Roger has eyes, and is choosing to wear a blindfold. He uses the blindfold because he's scared of being hypnotized by a TV, that's why he's alive in Pale City, because he's wearing a blindfold. Roger isn't blind, just wearing a blindfold.
That's a good theory. Just the thing is, he's not wearing a blindfold- that's his skin that slipped down his skull and ended up covering his eyes. So while not a blindfold, it could still somehow protect him from the signal tower's transmission.
I think the janitor used to be someone who lived in the pale city like everyone else, his face changed cuz of the tv. Thats also why he is blind, because his eyes literally sucked out of his head. That’s why he wears a mask, made by the doctor. You see the janitor in de maw with a mask which looks a little bit old. That’s because he used to get a new one from the doctor, but because the doctor is dead that’s no option anymore. A different thing that let me think is: monster sicks seems a bit the same as the janitor with the long arms and the hands. Maybe the tin man transformed the janitor into that form?
Its obvious that Roger isnt human, judging by his limb length and the fact that not only is his skull *black* but hes also still alive after having torn his skin down and over his face, so why was he, if that was him, just chilling in an apartment? Do people go to the doctor to become like Roger and continue on with their lives?
i just thought of some more proof: how would the recipient hear you? maybe its someone with heavily boosted hearing because they’re blind, i.e the janitor

I think theres a sledgehammer in the package. When mono meets monster 6 in the tower holding her music box we see the suitcase behind her with the hammer in it.....later on this is the suitcase she arrives in at the maw ( the pinned pics inside look the same). Maybe since all space and time can be accessed from the tower and we know 6 from the begining is fascinated with the music box she got the one thing to save her from the one person she knew would come for her.......and everything else from dropping mono to finding the maw and eating the lady was a story of her growing from cowering and barefoot to the powerful soulsucker she is now.... I suspect she may become the lady later on.
Interesting, but the package could be some food or paper book of exploration/ticket to travel like you said....curious they re-use that monster six model and your point about the skin coloration...
It's from the first chapter of little nightmares 1 :) we are yet to know what it was meant to be. I theorised once it was meant to be our first glimpse of the wax bellman before he was removed from the game.

So my theory is that Roger worked as the janitor at the school before the TV's toke over, which is why that one kid knew about roger, but when it started he stopped going out. And then he was invited to work at the maw, which I think was because the person who was doing the stuff that Roger was doing in little nightmares 1 ended up killing them self, so then the maw sent him a invite to join them, so that they could get a person to start working in the place of the person who hung them selfs. And in the package was probably a invite and a mask sense everyone who is on the maw wears a mask. And another thing is maybe that mask he wears is pulled down because he may have destroyed his eyes so he does not get mind controlled so he does not have a reason to have it pulled up all the way.
Tbh it’s probably his tools his invite and his mask so he can work on the maw. He needs the mask since the lady hates her look and so she makes others wear a mask (literally every character that is an adult wears a mask). Also his tools since he will be working under a new profession, btw in the first little nightmare game in the janitor’s quarters is a list of things like as if he was writing down addresses (just like real life), exactly like his former job.. just a theory lol
I first didn’t think nothing by the theory then I thought more about it and realized if a person could avoid the TVs/towers grasp on everyone. But goes around to collect an item makes it feel more important that he’s there
If this guy is human they would probably be wearing a tin foil hat so they could block of the signal I also think their clothes would be ripped and dirty since they was probably in the room for a long time but they probably aren’t human but I think they would look like this if they were
Idea, it could have been a mask but it may also be a letter in braille (a blind or eye impaired persons written language). As to a little thinking that if just on average paper, the dots may flatten and/or get ruined so to my knowledge there is a more fitted paper that braille is written on but it's a bit thicker in density. Not saying it is entirely braille and is indeed a mask but it could be both or either as the doctor may know braille so if he were to write a letter and/or statement of notice of allowance to go to certain places, he could. This may be that roger was allowed on the maw for a certain amount of time but had to return to the mainland for medical treatments and check ups, i could be theorizing too much but as the signal towers effects has been shown to have major effects on the main senses as so mosts faces were affected because of sight, rogers arms may had been affected as they are his main featuring sense so the doctor had to have checks ups on rogers arms to see if any damaging or harmful affections to his arms had taken place e.g. his nerves, veins and muscles as that would affect his bodies state of being able to function and weaken. So our main man roger had to return to the mainland to receive treatments, medical exams and recovery processes until he was allowed full rein to enhabate the maw so when he was given special access to have small periods of time he would wait by the door for the package telling him the time he was allowed for and when he had to return for more tests. That may have been a braille message giving him the okay to have his live in stay at the maw because his last medical exam was on point and he was allowed to stay or that could be another letter saying he was allowed access to the maw before his next treatment. Just a theory but to my knowledge, this could be what's in the package and why that could be roger.

I want to belive, that the person behind the door isn't roger... it seem's obvious. What about the Maxbellman?... no that wouldn't work. HMM i guess i have to belive its roger then.
I'm fairly certain there's a key in the package. It makes the same sound a similar asset does at the beginning of the game that contained a key. Perhaps it was a key to leave the house.
The Developers didn't actually add he's Model in there only he's Hands, Because why would the developers Put something in there when we cant see it in the game?
Surely it must be time for little nightmares 2 dlc or a third game announcement, but at least we are getting chapter 2 of the awesome poppy playtime early next year 😉
I also like the fact that you can see he only joined the maw for safety cause unlike the chefs he had to become a janitor that doesn’t take much skill AND NOW THIS IS CRAZY AND SAD BUT WHAT IF the only reason he takes children and wraps them up is because he doesn’t want them to get turned into nomes bt the lady why does he do this? Because he relates to living in a world where your in fear of one main leader and to back up my theory is the fact that he has toys in his lair why would he have them if they weren’t for the children? I think he’s misunderstood
every villain has the eye symbol somewhere in their space or whatever. so if you had the eye on your invitation package it means you are working for the evil entity. also i have a suggestion for you Jord: how about a video where you revisit little nightmares 1 and update the story and theories with what we know now from the new game and very little nightmares? because Ive watched ln1 gameplay last night and i feel like its appropriate now to retell the story with what we know now. love your videos
Its really fun to make and listen to theories, but I cant help feeling like this was just a fun little Easter egg they added, and it doesn't actually mean anything
