“You’re gonna wear a leotard singing twinkle town?” Says the man nominated for a Chita Rivera award for his dance performance in Kiss Me Kate on Broadway. Haha. The irony is unmatched.
“Why would she put his picture in the refrigerator?” “I don’t know, one of her crazy *diet* ideas” Um.... did they just call Michael Crawford a snacc? I mean, I don’t disagree...
I think we all know the real reason the librarian kept interrupting was because she's actually a POTO diehard and couldn't bear to hear such blasphemy in her library.
I remember when I saw this for the first time when I was ten. I immediately knew who Michael Crawford was...one of the greatest stage actors to ever live.
@@mariaochenas3634 You'll learn to see, to find the man behind the monster...this repulsive carcass who seems a beast but secretly dreams of beauty. Secretly, secretly. Oh, Christine.
I actually didn't get this when this movie came out. but now that i know who michael crawford actually is because i became obsessed with phantom last year, i had to com back to see this and i LOL'd
I used to watch High School Musical all the time (it was my favorite movie), and I've loved POTO for a very long time. As many times as I've watched this, I'm surprised that I just now realized they made a reference to Phantom! 😂
For April Fools day, I put a picture of Frasier Crane in the freezer (get it?) and my friend said , "Remember that scene in HSM with Michael Crawford? You just did that."
im laughing so hard between the time this film came out and when i got into phantom i forgot about the reference and now when chad says his mom has seen the show 27 times i laugh hysterically because im the same
After so many years this is still my favorite scene out of all the HSM trilogy. I do hope they'll make a fourth installment like a reunion or the future of everyone in East High after college.
They had a Sharpay spinoff and now a sequel series 😂 otherwise a reunion back a few years ago with 5 of the 6 main characters (not Troy) and now it seems like some of them will be back in the series
Chad- You're a hoopster dude, not a musical singer person. I would've told Chad to go to hell after that remark. Troy could be anything he wants and no one has the right to tell him other wise.
I watched this movie at age 12 and did not know who Michael Crawford was. I’m watching it now at age 26. I DEFINITELY know who Michael Crawford is. And seeing him in your fridge? A little quirky, but I could see how it might urge a woman to shed a few pounds. lol
I do like The Phantom of the Opera and it's my 6th favourite musical and I saw it in London at Her Majesty's Theatre on Saturday 31st March in 2012 and it was brilliant
The entire POTO phandom feels summoned and triggered at the same time YOU KNOW WHAT, PHANS FROM ALL OVER, I SHALL SUMMON YOU! In sleep he sang to me in dreams he came that voice which calls to me and speaks my name. And do I dream again? For now I find the Phantom of the Opera is there inside my mind
Anyone else notice that while Chad *says* "cereal box" it's clearly dubbed over. If you look at his mouth, he's saying "wheaties box" (the kind that always showcases a pro sports player on the front). Guess someone didn't get the rights lol
Bro.... 27 times nothing more? If you only knew that we, the Phans, spend the day watching ALL the world's Phantom of the Opera musicals... Including, also, Michael Crawford's version
Michael Crawford was Frank Spencer in Some Mother's Do Have'Em too freakin hilarious british comedy that one. I only know it because my parents showed me it. #70S #OldParents #BritishDad
Only twenty seven? Simple human. I watched it on dvd at least 50 times on my first week on Phantom. Then again it was phantom 25 so how could you not watch it nonstop (how do you write like you’re running out of time)
I can't believe they put Michael Crawford in!!! I'm a huge fan. This is awesome...but they are sort of making fun of him, which I don't like. Oh well, this scene still cracked me up. :)
I’ll admit I didn’t know who the hell Michael Crawford was until this scene 😂 my mom though, being a POTO fan cracked up at this scene, especially the part with the fridge
Michael Crawford as The Phantom; Sing for me, my angel of music! Sarah Brightman as Christine; Wishing you were somehow here again.... (Broadway) Michael Crawford as The Phantom; Christine, I love yoooouuuuu!!! Sob, sob:(..... You alone can make my song take flight, it's over NOW the music of the night.....
First: does anyone else have a problem with Chad's casual misogyny when he talks about the female mind? And two: Anyone else notice the blatant Shakespeare reference with librarian 'Mrs. Falstaff?' LOL.
