Today, we're looking at the SandWing sisters: Blister, Blaze, and Burn! Which one is the best? What exactly do I mean by "best"? Let's find out! Join the Wings of Charcoal Discord server: / discord
My answer is that none of them are the best. Blaze is too vain, and would be too focused on herself other than her kingdom. Blister is too smart for her own good, amd would probably make Anemone enchant her to be immortal and unkillable Darkstalker style. Burn is too violent, and wouldn't accept help from the other tribes. Oasis never should have had daughters, and just let one of her sisters be queen. Though, maybe Blaze, Blister, or Burn got their...interesting personalities from their aunts.
@@anightwing4505 Maybe, but Blister wasn't so bad... She had the main skills needed to be a queen. She is smart, she can keep her reign, she has allies, she has strategy, she was said to be planning to over rule her mother and how to be a queen even before Oasis died.
They all were really. Blaze's want to just have fun all the time and be such an excitable dragon, Blister and her anxiety and manipulative tactics, and Burn with her killing obsession and her relationship with her mother.
To be honest I thought blaze was going to be the exact opposite of what was said in the books (similar to Lady Jewel) but book three proven me wrong. Lol
I’ve always concluded that blaze would be the best queen as at least she would be nice to her tribe, and with smolder helping her out, she wouldn’t be half bad.
Yeah and plus, Blaze was the most likely sister to have dragonets. If Blaze was indeed a terrible queen, her heir/s could just challange Blaze and become the new queen. Blaze herself might be extremely bad at being queen but maybe her daughters can be a actual good queen.
Here’s some ideas for your next analysis video: 1. Who will take Coral’s place as Queen? 2. Will Thorn marry Smolder? 3. What of Oasis survived? 4. What if Scarlet beat Ruby/Tourmaline? 5. Who is the best RainWing Queen?
Oooo I like this! Imo, auklet, hopefully not but probably, blaze would have probably either died or learned some stuff and became queen, probably a lot of death, and no rainwing Queens were good. Not even glory, a good alternative may be to have a rainwing that wasn't in the books..? Would love see these
Excluding glory id have to say grandeur, sure she was described as saying no to most dragons suggestions but then again they were probably very stupid suggestions
"Two shall die and one shall learn", blaze was young when her mother died, never got to much time to learn, I believe that if blaze had something happen to her, an ugly scar across her face or face the loss of a leg, she would have probably been stronger and also she was nice and the sandwings already liked her. She is best option imo
First of all, the thing that annoys me the most is that the DoD mades assumption about each sister: "Burn would just continue the war" Why ? She doesn't like useless fight as shown to her reaction to the arena's battles. The only thing we have to keep in check is that she doesn't attack the Skywings (because Rubi dropped the war), the Seawings and the Icewings who are both protected by attacks (Seawings can just live underwater and Icewing used to have the Ice cliff) "Blister whould just try to conquer all of Phyrria" Slightly more realistic, since we see the grasp she has on Coral but still an assuption. The Sandwing Queendom is just enormous so why conquer more ? She could try to have Queens killed to remplace them with "puppet queens" but it's just more of a theory. "Blaze is just too dumb" It's the most acurate, but then again, I imagine that if you told her to let an advisor (Smolder) do the actual work for her while she just plays with the tresure, while not ideal is still kinda good. Have all of them have different powers but rule together. Burn could keep the army, Blister could do all the administrative stuff and the strategy and Blaze could be the Diplomat Burn doesn't want to have dragonnet anyway and Blister doesn't seem to like the idea either so Blaze could be the one having a heir
I know. (As a Blister person), She wouldn't have conquered all the tribes. That's pretty unrealistic, considering that she'd only have her brains and army, against pretty much every other tribe's army, and pretty much some of the most OP dragons ever, such as Peril, or Anemone. If she somehow does, she probably won't last a week till rebellion and chaos.
Personally, neither is fit to be queen, one has marbles for a brain, another is a psychopathic taxidermist and the other is a psychopathic genius. And the only thing they have in common is their super-big egos.
Blister would’ve been the best of the three. She’s smart and not as violent as Burn. Even though she’s evil, she’s not as bad as the other two as far as it goes to skill at leading. Also, you’d have to rule out any situations of interference from Burn and Blister, because they’d be dead.
Honestly between the three I think the best option is Blaze, let her get insta challenged by Onyx before she can do to much damage to the kingdom, and then hope Onyx isn’t too tyrannical or incompetent of a ruler.
I was guessing Burn as she was not would be an Idiot like Blaze, not so cruel like Blister and was the most sensible of the three, She also makes Smart decisions about her battles and skirmishes . There is one flaw with her , It is noted that in the books that she is not very interested in having daughters or children of any kind to ascend to the Throne, which means it will be harder for her to find a dragon who is related to her and is a Female. If I were one of the Dod I would a picked Burn
About Burn winning, you forgot about Anemone, she could just magic a spear to go kill Burn, and that's it, war over. Also, the Sea wings have the advantage of not being easy to attack, the only building they have above ground is hidden, and if Burn plays her cards right, she could transport troops all the way to the other side of phyrrhia, securing an alliance with the ice wings in exchange for the land.plus, she still had the dragon killing viper plan, and no one would know about the rainwings anyway.
Blister probably would've won the war if the NightWings never intervined due to her extremely clever and manipulative mindset. Blaze would've been the only non-evil queen but probably also become a puppet for self-appointed council, useless Glaicer was willing to help her THAT much. The best outcome probably would've been Burn to be honest. She's brutal and merciless but at least she's predictable.
Yeah I think Burn would be the best because Blaze hardly does anything and Blister would be too over powered and Burn when it comes to attack plans isn't necessarily dumb or smart she does make decent attack plans
Exactly. Burn isnt manipulative smart, but she has decent wits and good battle experience. She seems brutal and strange with her "hobby", but not as bad compared to the other two. The only issue would her not having dragonets.
Early gang! If I’m being honest I’d choose Blaze. Even though it’s a setup to maybe possibly kill her. She could do the advisor thing I saw in a different comment, but that way, the throne would be truest earned by the whoever challenges her: Burn. Now she has rightfully earned it, and she can’t exactly start the war now, since it’s already ended.
In my opinion, Blister would've won. If the nightwings didn't screw with Blister's alliance with both Commander Tempast with the seawings, And queen Morhen with the mud wings. Also, in The Winglet 'Assassin' it's stated that Blister is close to winning the war. [SPOILER ALERT] If deathbringer decided not to kill Commander Tempast, Alot of the build up in book 2 really wouldn't have happened.
In my opinion, Burn would be greatest. She’s violent, but not evil and cunning like blister or stupid like blaze. In one of the books (I think 5) someone says most queens make other dragons do their work, but burn likes to get her talons on. He reign would be long, as she is super strong
Personally I think it might be a toss-up on that last question. Burn relied on brute force, while Blister relied on strategy, even if she was outnumbered she could theoretically last for a while with the pieces she holds and still win the war in the end. The NightWings would have a field advantage in the rainforest as well given the trees and everything and plenty of hiding spots. However yea, I'd still lean in favor of Burn overpowering Blister once she runs out of options, so Burn would likely still win the war eventually.
this video is just amazing, im a brazilian youtuber who loves Wings of Fire books, and here in my country, wings of fire is almost unknown, im trying to change it, and channels like yours, help me so much. Im going to create a video about this subject in my language. I will put the credits because your video is wounderful
before watching the video: blister reason: burn - would keep the war going, harms her own soldiers to prove a point. blaze - she would be good but shes also spoilt and (from what i recall, could be wrong) she was going to kill a dragon who saved her life just because she couldn't get her crown, which never existed after: Still team blister reason: same
I like Burn i think she'd be the best heres why: she is smarter than Blaze but not as smart as Blister but Blister was partly in on the attack on the sea wings because she thought that it would kill more enemies than allies but instead it killed more than both in a way and she would probably try to take over all the other tribes. She would be smart enough to defend her kingdom but still. While Blaze would just be even weaker when it comes to defense she has more army reporters than she has soldiers which is kinda smart but kinda stupid. While burn has more stronger fighters on her side and she's actually kinda smart when it comes to attack plans and she might try to take over the other tribes but if all of them were allied against any enemies then that would give all the other tribes a huge advantage and Burn waits to get attacked before attacking which is actually kinda smart and kinda stupid. (Just my opinion though)
I think your ideas on effectivness for Burn and Blister could be swapped, as Burn was more of a conquerer and Blister was the corrrupt fear-mongering dictator type. Burn would be an imperialist focused on conquest and strength, which would actually make the Kingdom of Sand a thriving superpower. Blister might end up becoming a cruel dictator, somewhat of a Pyrrhian Wasp although not as totalitarian since the Kingdom of Sand is hard to completly control, meaning several local governments loyal to her would have to be established. Blaze would be a puppet for Glacier with no idea whats going on. The Kingdom of Sand would be humiliated, both domestic and foreign policy would be a disaster and revolutions would occur in reigions like the Scorpian Den which have their own identities and ideologies separate from the govermnent
I’m a huge sucker for powerful, murderous/villainous female characters so out of the three, Burn has got to be my favorite. (I will try to explain why I like her with my limited knowledge as a refuse to read anything other than the graphic novels) She’s a powerful and (probably) intimidating SandWing who’s the oldest of her sisters, the perfect recipe for a villainous character Also you can tell I like these types by my own little worlds WoF: My RainWing named Bedazzling (inspired by LampP0st’s villain Glory au) who’s an assassin for the SkyWing queen (who I made up), Queen Rune. Warrior Cats: my rogue OC SunSwirl (originally called BarkSwirl before she got a remodel) who was exiled from ThunderClan and later formed a band of rogues to fight against the ACTUAL villain of my story, Silhouette. Her sister SnowThaw (originally called SnowFur, inspired by Littlesprout’s stories oc, MudFur) eventually joined her to help fight And there you have it, by far the longest comment I’ve ever written over the course of like 7 minutes (It was around 8:04 when I started, it’s now 8:11 :)
I believe Burn would have been the best queen. If we compare each sister to a similar queen and judge the results she would have been the least disastrous. First Blaze/Magnificent: A lazy uncaring queen will eventually lead to another tribe taking advantage of it for their own gain. Blister/Wasp/Darkstalker: Like Darkstalker she would have been able to manipulate her own tribe into complete loyalty. Especially if she’s using Anemone’s magic. Once she had unified her tribe she would turn to the other tribes like Wasp. Oh and what did wasp do when she had complete loyalty? Enslaved one tribe and hunted the other to near extinction. She held her power for FIFTY years. Finally Burn/Scarlet: Granted Scarlet is not a great queen. At the height of her reign the tribe is thin and many members of her own tribe are forced to fight to the death in her arena. But it’s still functioning. Her tribe isn’t at risk of being hunted to extinction or hunting another to extinction.
Blister would have won because Burn would have still ended up opening that gift with the two dragonbite vipers inside and it wouldn't be long before Blister kills Blaze
(My opinion) The best sister is Blaze, because she didn't kill anyone and she's very friendly. Blaze was REALLY happy, when she saw the real dragonets from the prophecy.
I think, if i was a character in WoF i would've just formed an alliance with Blister, and starting to kill everyone (and probably would get killed myself but that doesn't matter by now) lol
Let me be honest, is Blaze were stronger, smarter, and not TOO self obsorbed, I am sure that she would win, if all the Sandwings loved her because of her kind attitude.
I believe Blaze is the best. She had the most popular choice, Burn was too intense, and Blister manipulative. Most likely, she would survive long enough to have [an] heir(s). Once she has an Heir that would be a good queen, or least a better fighter, they would replace blaze and retake all the territory her mother gave away, restoring the balance in the kingdom. That's just how I see it anyway.
For the war you missed one thing- the viper still would have gotten burn, she may have quickly killed one but not know the other and again died to it, other than that good job!
Burn would've won if Blister ever challenged her, so the latter used a dragonbite viper to do the killing for her. It shows how smart she is while also giving away that Burn is the strongest of the 3 sisters.
Definitely Blaze Make Blaze queen, she has dragonets (probably, I mean she literally called Deathbringer "cute) then one of her daughters who is hopefully good challanges Blaze for the throne. The daughter most likely wins, leaving the Sandwings with a nice queen While Blaze is alive she'd probably wouldn't be half bad, as long as she has wise and good dragons like Smoulder to guide her
I think blister would have won, especially because she has the only Animus, anemone. But anemone would not like the idea of killing Burn although blister might convince her🤔🤔
Thorn is the best queen because she cares nature about qubli and us strong also good side but will stand with strength your need the two sides to rule the sandwings or others tribes right
0:13 Charcoal: ''I'm going to talk about the three sisters who started a decades-long war for the SandWing throne.'' Subtitles: ''i'm going to talk about the three sisters who started a decades- long war for the sandwich throne.'' What-?! So the SandWings are not called SandWings, they are called Sandwiches???
honestly i think burn would have entirely won the war because from what oasis said shes actually a decent persin, shes just weird. also she likes war for one reasons, violence. but i dont think she would just compete for nothing. i think she would actually want a reason to fight, be proud of who she was. if there wasnt a reason to fight, she would be bored and have no pride for just killing someone for no reason.
Keep in mind that Blister had the dragonbite viper gift that Burn would have opened eventually which is what ended up being Burn's downfall. If the eye of onyx was never found then Blister would have killed Blaze and she would be queen instead of Thorn.
