I own both a Honda GL1800A Goldwing plus a Suzuki Bergman that I just bought. Right off I noticed a harshness in the ride over bumps in the front end. It probably isn't fair to compare to the Wing, but after a few thousand miles on the Bergman now, I really do enjoy it much more than the Wing for day to day use but only on decent roads. I just wish I hadn't been spoiled on the Wing by the plush ride. But I do plan to sell the Wing and at my advanced age of 80, and feel the Bergman is a better overall choice for day to day riding. It really is a vastly underrated bike in all respects...
Good review mate. I have a burgie 650 09 model. I have owned and rode many bikes and scoots in my life. The burgie is something else. Would not swap it for anything else and may get another one once my burgie goes to scooter heaven.
Cruise control is unfortunately the start button (Perhaps a little bit confusing, but the symbol is there) Power electric windscreen is there (It was one of the options available from that very far forward hidden button on the left & then once you cycle through the options it'll be the up/down button that was on-top
I've got an '18 model 650 & it's the best bike I've had in 43 years of riding. That includes the BMW's I've had - an R1200RT, K1200LT & Several K100/1100's. Also had a Honda FJS600 Silverwing & a 400 Burgman. I wouldn't swap my 650 for anything else.
I drive a 2009 Burgman 400 since a year, but it lacks torque and acceleration for me, love everything else. I think I'll try to find a Burgman 650 to see if the torque and acceleration feels better
The Mercedes driver isn't an idiot, he just didn't see you because you were coming from the other side. Happened to me 50years ago too. Shot down a motorcyclist coming from across the street. A little more tolerance would be appreciated. Otherwise a very good presentation.
Dude, you were at fault because you came over into the next lane after pulling out from your stop. We will cut you some slack, you're not used to the new bike. But you shouldn't have been a dick towards that mercedes driver.
@@aaa111912 The foul language, attitude and finger gesture is something I would be ashamed to display in public, we all make mistakes. It's not nice when watching with your 7 and 9 year old Sons, at least that part of the video could have been edited out in my opinion. One reason I never allow my Kids watch youtube, 1 of many reasons.
During the period the Burgman 650 AN Executive was sold in Australia it was in my opinion the benchmark for maxi scooters. I know the Aprilla 850 was bigger and the competition from BMW, Yamaha, Kymco and even Piaggio was to be considered but the Suzuki was better speced. The engine was plenty responsive and more powerful than the Yamah coupled with the CVT with manual and power options it was quick off the mark and could hold its own on the open road with other bikes. The manual option gave a 6th gear for increased fuel economy which was handy for long rides. There was plenty of storage in the dash and under the seat and a top box completed the rig. I know the T Max has more tech now and a bigger engine than earlier models but I expect that had the Burgman still been sold it would have had more tech perhaps even an electric reverse which would have been useful on a 260kg bike. I especially liked the electrically adjustable screen. Here is my review ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LzDg9MOaLHQ.html One thing I don't like about the T Max not having ridden it is the placement of the mirrors they are a long way from the rider and it looks like adjusting them while riding would be tricky but necessary if you took a pillion.
The Burman 650 will spoil you. Most anything else has been a step down for me. Can't compare to a Gold Wing as any bike that big isn't practical for me as I'm vertically challenged. The 650 though. Wow!
The Tmax has the same issue a lot of "hyped" brands like Iphone/apple have. They are overhyped and are a symbol of "status". I've had a Tmax 560 and it was performing really well but I still ended up trading it in for the Forza 750. The Honda Forza is at a lower price for overall more performance. Anyways at the end of the day all the high end scooters perform amazing and it comes down to personal preference but in my opinion the Tmax is no longer the "king" of scooters in this current year.
I own an 08 Executive. I recently test rode a T-Max, and I must say I was not at all impressed. I found it to be a nice bike, but it’s way overpriced, and wayyyy overrated. I’ll take my Burgman all day long and twice on Sundays. My Burgman is much torquier, much more comfortable, and more user friendly.
to me yamaha is alot better loads of after market parts and u can unlock them and boos ttheir performance by alot while they handle alot better its like comparing a bmw car to an bentley i feel like ths uzuki is just more luxurious but u cant do any aftermarket stuff with it
The burger with the lot was the best maxi then BMW but they didn’t continue to make them the TMax is king because it’s the only one that is available and evolved the one you tested was another older model as well the new one has a TFT screen
Took me two minutes of watching this to realise you’re so biased towards the Bergman so much so you’d think you’re getting paid to talk down the king (tmax). In the real world the tmax is on another planet compared to the Bergman it wipes the floor with it.
No mate, I am not biased. The Tmax is superior when it comes to handling and sporty riding whereas the Brugman is better at being a scooter, plush ride, lots of storage and overall smoothness. They are like flavours of icecream some like Chocolate, some like Vanilla. There is no right answer, it depends on your preference.
The yamaha has a motorcycle frame the Burgman has a scooter chassis ( no swing arm =pivot point in middle of wheelbase ) Yamaha is a poor handling motorcycle . ?The burgman even worse for going fast = agility . BUT the burgman is super plush /soft comfy . Burgman for me as its a scooter and rides like a good scooter . yamaha neither fish nor foul
@@Romiman1hi I am between the burgman and the BMW 650gt. Both second hand.bmw 2016 and the burgman 2017. Will travel / tour with my wife. Amy suggestions on both? Thanks
