I main nina and she aint carried. Im guessing your lower rank, she actually takes a decent amount of skill at higher levels and is one of the highest execution character in the game. Doesnt really align with being carried.
My opinion about Yoshi: The problem is, Yoshi didn't have good pokes and damage, now he has both. Characters like Yoshimitsu weren't supposed to have damage and good pokes, at least that's how it seemed they balanced the game in Tekken 7
Yoshi's thing was not having good frames and pressure, his pokes are alright. His thing has always been about defensive play so he never could rush you down really and he still can't when it comes to frames. He does have his fair share of bullshit now though, especially the dragonfly nonsense. Regardless he's still a high risk high reward character as most of his options do leave him in a very risky spot
@@SnakeInTheRain 1,1 [-9] second hit knockdown (nss: launcher) on counter 2,2 [-1]; Ub 1+2 [-8]; 2,1 [-9]; Df4 [-7]; ff3 into kincho [+3], kincho 1+2 [-6] and kincho 1 [-1] are frame trap, kincho 1 homing with pushback ; 3,1 [+7] dragonfly f 1+2 [-2] homing is frame trap; So what frame are you talking about?
@@QuimZangui Read what I said again, his thing WAS not having good frames. And I said he still can't rush down with pure frame advantage or top tier punishment. He's stronger than he's ever been I'm not downplaying him, but there are still far more characters who out do him when it comes to frames and dominating hit boxes. 1,1 is a simple jab punish but can be used to bait out counter hits, a defensive tool 2,2 is another punish but with more utility now being able to go into kincho or nss, there's mixup potential there but really it's the illusion of offense which Yoshi is all about Ub1+2 is good but linear so it's not that abusable, nss version is a monster though Df4 is one of my favorite pokes for him and is good at keep out but it's nothing extraordinary. Everything else you listed is pretty basic aside from frame traps and 3,1 into dragonfly which is actually pretty braindead I agree with that one. 3,1 into dragonfly f1+2 can and does get ducked though so while it's cheesy, it still falls in line with the risk reward nature Yoshi adheres to albeit with some other mixup options from dragonfly to cover it
I agree with Xiaoyu. I'm a Xiaoyu main. I feel she is definitely over hated. I got stuck in upper purple. I switched to Alisa and passed into blue much faster. I switched back because I felt guilty that my main was not my higher rank. I still haven't caught up to my Alisa and it hurts.
I'm just barely a Mighty Ruler in Tekken 7. Oh but in Tekken 8, I played 40 hours in quick match and 25 hours in ranked match and I'm now a Tekken King. 65 hours total... Tekken King. With Kazuya. Tekken 8 is too gimmicky for me. Good game but I enjoyed Tekken 7's gameplay more.
Being a legacy player means you at least know the game better than most of the new players. Tbh up to Tekken king it’s just learn your character and past Tekken king is match up knowledge. Plus before the latest patch defensive play sucked ass compared to the mashing 😂
i honestly thought this klown was going to say Reina, Victor and Jun but he said King, Drag and Hwoa....i stopped watching after that.....whole game is carrying scrubs with "Heat" and emphasis on crush moves....this trash game gives 2 comeback mechanics stacked on top of each other....why do you still have access to rageart even after using heat and they deal the exact same damage????? smfh......yall complained about 2d characters but tolerate and embrace this garbage....i rather deal with a Gouki player from Pakistan than a 10f Heat smash you cant see coming foh
As a Yoshi main, I agree. @ 20:46 as you stated, when optimized, Yoshi is very strong. Not anyone can simply pick up Yoshi and cruise through the ranks. With that being said, I really do hope Arslan follows through and plays with him at Evo.
I'm spinning around, move out of my way I know you're feeling me 'cause you like it like this I'm breaking it down, I'm not the same I know you're feeling me 'cause you like it like this ~ Lars
Bryan players aren’t working the hardest because bryan is really good now, he takes skill to pilot but his moveset does the rest after that, he has a S tier heat utility and he can kill you with just 2 touches bro is downplayed to much
Feng main here, Tekken King as well. I gotta say that reaching blue ranks with this guy is pretty easy, past that - there are no shortcuts. You either get really good at fundamentals, or you're getting capital F fucked.
Literally every character in Tekken can be considered disonest, i've come to that conclusion because i main Mishimas/Bryan/Steve and even with them don't feel like "Real Tekken" sometimes. I've always liked to play difficult and or honest characters but in Tekken 8 everyone feels disonest and weird in some way, i kinda like it, but i do feel that female characters tends to be more cheesy for some weirdass reason, even Lilli that could be considered the most honest female character it's completely braindead in Tekken 8, character is full of panic moves, BT Stance pressure and for some stupid reason they gave her Bryan's 3+4. Kazuya is my main, and sometimes i feel stupid using him, Demon Paw feels dirty, Patricide Fist frames feels braindead and etc. Even Bryan, that can be considerated the holy grail of real tekken, it only takes one counter-hit mistake to nuke your HP bar away, don't know man, that's just Tekken 8 in general... unfortunately that's a concept now.
Tekken 8 is good... like 8 out of 10. But Tekken 7 is still better 8.5 out of 10. Only in terms of gameplay. Tekken 7 has all sorts of issues like networking, poor animation and character models, and stupid crap like rising low kicks and magic 4s that give full launch on counter hit.
They are honest characters because they can not overwhelm someone with knowledge checks, infinite plus frames, panic buttons, moves with insane evasive properties, and disregard the fundamentals of the game. Not being able to step demon paw or patricide fist is not dishonesty because they have obvious weaknesses that you can figure out without going on forums, RU-vid, training partners, etc.
@@RektemRectums also unblockable rage art, multiple characters with projectiles, 2d characters that has tools noone else has, yeah idk if tekken 7 was THAT much beter
As a Xiaoyu main, thank you! All the people that talk shit, I beg you to pick her up and go online. No hate. Just genuinely tired of people saying we mash with her. You play a round where you're pushing all this complicated shit and lose bc someone is playing an overpowered character!
People just don't like to feel helpless against her and don't like be dodged on because her evasive moves aren't auto dodges, they have to be planned and timed and they know that, otherwise you would see her more often as u see lil or Reina or asuka. while she's playing chess they still on checkers 🤷🏻♀️
I'll add my 2 cents to this convo. Tekken 8 is the first Tekken to have Ling fighting on par with the rest of cast. From the start. She's not being held back by bs nerfs. If you put in the work. You'll be able to upset a lot of people. I know for a fact every cheater I come across. If I can manage to get a round off of them. They're downloading my ghost ASAP. I'm no where near the best. I just sometimes stand out from the rest. I just went purple last week for the first time ever. I will disrespect every cheater I come across. Especially if the cheater mirror matches me. The Xiaoyu hate may be earned but it isn't justified. You gotta respect her.
@the_gratefulgamer I don't respect players who can only win by stealing your turn with aggressive flowcharts that are difficult to punish. Goes for Zafina, goes for Jun, and it especially goes for Xiaoyu. It's a disrespectful playstyle imo and I will block you if you play like that (which most Xiaoyus do)
@@VermillionGates Threatening to block me? For just saying I play with Ling? lol Aggressive flow charts? I'm just a casual player. Idgaf about frames or flow charts or whatever tf. What matters to me? Are you playing within the parameters of the game, fairly. *That means No boosts. No lagswitching. No macros. No exploited glitches.* That's what matters to me. If a flowchart bothers you that much. *Get Gud. Or don't bother playing.* This is *TEKKEN* Not Twitter lol
@@VermillionGates Record your matches. And worry about the rollback frame numbers jumping around. Pay attention to the wifi signal. If it looks like Xmas (red&green). Then you're dealing with a cheater. One and done them. Save yourself some stress. If the Rtt Ms numbers are too high or too low. Know that you're dealing with a cheater. But don't get block happy because of some flowchart bs. I do wtf works and keep it pushing. If sh_t don't work against a honorable opponent. Then I know it's me and it's back to the lab.
I am blue belt in hapkido (Baek's Martial art) and i can easily tell you , that Hwoarang is bread and butter since tekken 3... Specially that opener i will never forget, how was it.... down + 4 + 4 , there u you go, if he touches you with that input he has a free air combo registered by the 1st low kick. The only thing i want to point out about hwoarang, is that Tekken 8 has doen a great job implementing all the chaguis and kicks he does, they are all taken from the taekwondo white , yellow, orange, green, blue, red and black
Out here talking about how Brian is the hardest to play and the hardest workers when Devil Jin out here with nothing but gimmicks and electrics that never see THE LIGHT OF DAY in pro play. Thought everyone collectively agreed that he was but this guy, he has a point but think he missed on that take
King's RKO out of Jaguar Sprint is reactable, it's not a true 50/50. The 50/50 to worry about is Giant Swing/Shining Wizard bc the grab animation is identical. That said, he's carried as shit until people learn to consistently break grabs yeah. I heckin love playing the funny wrestling furry man.
Bro you apparently never faced a good Brian :) when you will tell me how it feels he has broken wall carry and lot of bullshit but at the wall he is no 1 with taunt
Imma hafta subscribe just for keepin it buck about my girl Xiaoyu. She put in work. They finally put her on par with the roster. In terms of strength via skill of the player. I just hit purple last week for the first time. All Tekken 7 she was underrated and overhated. Well in T8 we ling mains goin give yall something to hate. Especially yall cheaters. Hate for Ya selves.
finally someone telling the truth to hwo's! when i get beaten by drag, jin, reina, kazuya... most of the cast basically i FEEL OUTPLAYED. when i lose to hwo spamming their bullshit i feel robbed 90% of the time. there's very few times where i feel like i got actually ouplayed by a hwo player (it happens, its just the rarest thing)
I just now had an Argument in comments in a tier video, with Yoshi main saying yoshi is not broken and im carried that i play Bryan, btw Im Tekken king Bryan main.
He's not carried, but even if he was, play who you like. We all have access to the same character pool, so we can't actually complain. Just have fun and learn this awesome game. And remember to stretch your wrists every hr or so.
Eyyy, fellow Leroy enjoyer, what's good? I wouldn't say he's carried, but I lost count of how often people just walk into the punch-rushes. It sometimes feels like a slower Flash that people run into face first.
As someone who mains Xiaoyu, She is definitely a great character when mastered. But she is a reflection of the player and their "genius". Xiaoyu takes alot of skill, not easy to play at all and takes time to learn and evolve in every rank. Glad you realize this to some extent,
BRYAN is the WORST carried? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA That's the funniest shit bro; he has insane combo damage. Can pick you up from grounded and wall carry you from anywhere. The best wall carry in the game. PERIOD. They buffed him Twice, Bryan literally got away with Murder. Bro complained about difficulty in carried characters then did the EXACT SAME glazing Bryan. Bro's got no self-awareness. HILARIOUS. 🤡
Get yourself some self awareness and realize your wall of texts sounds even more hilarious and written by the real clown who is this upset over a digital chracter being strong in a video game
Bryan mains have to work harder for these "insane combos" you claim. Most high rank Bryan players are monsters with other characters and have good fundamentals. IMO Bryan is git good or get rekt
my friend plays hwoarang, i said he uses a broken character he was adamant he didn't, so i said, let me play hwoarang and you play reina (ima reina main) we play and i think i 3-0 him. it ended in such a terrible way to, he just put the controller down and walked out and i followed, cause god knows he didn't wanna lose to someone who just picked u his character and god knows i didn't wanna be seen using hwoarang
I main Bryan and Kazuya, and I never felt anyone was carried UNTIL I played King for one damn session It's more apparent now that I've gotten better at Tekken that King players on the same rank as me skipped learning how to play the game because they play dumb as fuck lol.
16:18 i disagree with u here xiaoyu players dont know their character is bs. In fact when Knee was complaining about her being a problem in this game they were tellin him to learn the matchup and get good when he's one of the best players in the world
To be fair there are dumb players of every character on twitter (It's twitter...) but did you see Changbang (one of the highest ranked xiaoyu's on earth) going into the lab and sharing even MORE broken stuff. He was like "Knee, it's even worse than you think, check THIS shit out" 🤣
@@ChadTheThirdUK he lowkey the only one that's aware of Xiaoyu's bs lol other than that funny vid. i have my disagreement with the Lars part or Xiaoyu one but i pretty much agree with everything else
@@GodKingIssei most of the cast has a bullshit damage my man his hit box is not that great at tracking but his frame on block and hit are another story 😂
Lmao!!! Everything is exactly right, especially here 18:38 Also washed a carried GoD King despite being a hardstuck Fujin because they’re just that carried. 😎
@@pointlessaccount100 d2 is -1 on hit. Before T8 he never had a low that gave him any momentum at all. This game is too offensively-focused for him to not be able to generate momentum from lows. I think the stagger is reasonable. I think +3 is reasonable. I think it should probably not track as well as it does though.
@@raidennc -1 on hit is completely fine. Especially for how good d2 is. My thing is draf had no problem starting momentum. He didn't need hatchet to start momentum. Hatchet just feels extra IMO but i will agree as well on that last point. Remove the tracking and it's all good.
@@pointlessaccount100 being at disadvantage everytime you go low would not make him "super strong". There was a reason nobody played him the later half of 7. He had no real threats. I think he needed to be toned down from launch sure. But he needed something to make people feel that they can't just wait him out all day, especially in T8's meta. I think Drag is one of those characters that people keep saying is "super strong" all the way until he gets nerfed to the point of being irrelevant. TMM spent the first half of T7 talking about how "completely busted" he was until one day "Dragunov is irrelevant. He's too weak" He is fine as he is. Including hatchet. (If anything I think hatchet should leave you a little closer imo). If they nerfed the tracking on it that would be perfect.
So basically as Dragunov main, we both play the same game with the same tools, except my stuff deals 10-15% more damage? Fair, good Tekken with the exception of Drag hitting HARD :D Also, yes, fuck Alisa, Eddie, Hworang and Lars and their flowcharts. Gimme dat Kaz and Bryan all day!
Kings RKO is is reactable.... plus king always had a wave dash... if anything it sounds like a skill issue... just wait until Marduk comes out and see people cry
there should never ever be a ch move better than steves b1. but there is king… the pressure this dude has is on another level jaguar sprint is the most oppressive bs in this game haha only way to beat this dude is stay tf away but oh no all his lows and mids hit across the screen… king 10/10 cheapest character ever even without the throws they are just the cherry on top haha oh and nearly all the female cast haha
Safe for the xiaoyu ting bro. I put in literal days of practice into her bullshit. To be good with her is hard. Every ling user i come across sucks. You can tell the difference between a good xiaoyu and an okay one. Its night and day
Hmm Bryan and Kazuya seem least carried. Seems about right. While they have some bullshit it doesn't even compare to rest of the cast. Steve is a bit overrated in terms of not being considered a carry character. Most of Steve players are button mashers.
Just hit Purple ranks with Paul. Im not sure how carried it would be, many people know the matchup quite well. His buffs helped him a lot but are not busted.
I was trying not to be biassed cause I play Bryan but I was struggling to find someone with less abusable staff. Maybe Steve. But I'm in busin and I can't bs my way through the rank.
@@pointlessaccount100 For starters how many people know the matchup? Then he also has b14 string which is plus on block, evasive launcher, his version of AOP and kempo.
Setups aside, flash only worse so well now because people are pressing mad buttons. Everybody wants to be super oppressive and have these really strong offensive tools but flash is the problem all of a sudden
Lol that used to be true in T7. Now he has a fast guard break move, amongst other cheap things. I don't think they should've nerfed him though. He was right where he needed to be.
@@shaolinprince777 Shaheen's is not a fast guard break it needs chargup so its locked behind snk moves and heat engagers and is a high, its very reactable because of the effects and sounds
