It was so obvious, 1- her instagram stories 2- a time limit which means she spends too much time on her phone so she has to put a time limit but most people break it 3- she is a college student
See I really though the same way!! But then when we were filming the creators were talking about how often they were on their phones so maybe I was trippin?? And then I really did get first place 😭🙈
Hey it's me Sabrina! I was so excited to see this come out! This was such a great experience and all the people were so kind. Thank you everyone in the comments who said kind things to me. And to you terfs down there, stop worrying over a 15 year olds private parts please, it's really weird. Ya'll are not doing anything. You're not being funny, you're not entertaining others, and you're not making me cry, so what is even the point. Thank you everyone else, I hope you all enjoyed the video 💕
My current average screen time is 12 hours 29 mins Granted I use RU-vid and white noise apps while I sleep a lot. I still spend way too much time on this thing. This episode has inspired me to work on lowering my screen time! 🖤
Lol same. The regular phone alarm doesn’t work for me and I use 8 hour alarms every night which results in an average of 12 hours. Still i use it a lot though lmfao
my screen time is very high because i listen to youtube video essays in my pocket while i walk or work out or do art/knitting etc, basically the only time i don't listen to something in the background is if i'm writing. i have adhd so i find it much easier to do tasks if i'm listening to a video on one of my hyperfixation in the background. i'm embarrassed it's so high because i feel like i'm so antisocial but people just exhaust me lol
Yea I listen to music or a podcast when designing, reading or on the bus traveling, cleaning the house etc.♠️ I don’t know why but people exhausts me too
Lol 9-10 hours is the lower end for me but usually two of those hours are for maps as I drive to campus (an hour away from home) and some is for work stuff I have to do from my phone like managing my school’s social media. But let’s be real, most of it is me😂
@@NickVetter no lol, it’s just that it’s an hour away so depending on traffic, I take different paths to get there. I’ve driven there likely over 1,000 times but accidents and road work can completely change which way I drive and they are unfortunately very frequent on the main road I usually take.
THIS is the comment I was looking for 😂. I don't think some adults realize that "screen time" is SOOO inaccurate. I write papers all the time for school and that takes a lot of time after school as well. The problem is screen time includes that. My point is it's not "social media time", it's "screen-time". I get that some adults have graduated and retired and don't use there phones or computers ect anymore so there only point of view on the younger generation is that we use technology for the purpose of just Instagram and TikTok, however this is really inaccurate and just sad. Some teenagers do, but you would be surprised on how many use it for productivity as well.
@@m4ntisbeats Yeah, but I'd say most teens are closer to 9 hours than 2 hours. Honestly surprised none of them broke double digits. People can't even sit through dinner without looking at their phone now
I don’t have a phone, I do have an iPad, and my screen time is usually 5- hours. Granted, I also do school on my iPad because I’m online schooled and that takes a few hours, so I only have about an hour or two of fun time.
My average screen time this week is 7hr 37m & I have a full time job & kid😂 I will say that most of it is at night to unwind by watching shows or spent sending messages during the day but it’s still wild that I’m on my phone more than most of them😭
I have a feeling you’re in my age group and I think our age group is on our phones more than most teenagers. We use our phones for everything and grew up adapting with them and learning them. I’m 24, I could be way off
i don’t think these are exactly average teenagers, i’m 20 and i know a lot of people my age and younger with 8 or more hours of screentime. i think those who are glued to their phones wouldn’t sign up for an opportunity like this in the first place, they’re often not particularly social, i know i’m not lol
I’m at 9 hours being a full time student and worker so it’s insane how we still average that but that just goes to say - we’re up basically 16/24 of the hours everyday. You’re doing amazing!!
I had 7 hours of screentime too! I'm a high school student but now it's summer break and I changed my part time job schedule to full time, wish I could be more aware of my actions too :,)
what a sweet group of people 💜 also i like all their outfits!! looks comfortable and cute. i’m a little shocked that my screen time is worse than all of them but to be fair it’s because i can’t do anything without a youtube video or twitch stream on in the background so that’s my problem 😂
I'm so grateful that I got to experience life before cell phones , iPad's, laptops, etc, took over our lives. It's so healthy to be able to disconnect, put away all our devices and be present. Be in the damnnnn moment 👌
Look on the bright side. Zoomers are the most frequent users of mind altering pharmaceuticals, are going bald decades before that of b00mies/X/millenials, and have less social activity like sex/parties/family gatherings.
Eh I agree, BUT EXCEPT for the girl who had the most screentime. It seemed like she was kind of judging others and quick to judge/assume everyone else had “less screentime” than her. 😅 But other than that I agree I loved this group. 🥰☺️
people that say "i only post for me" always confuse me because if its really "just for you" why would you post it in the first place? not to even be rude, because i definitely post, but i just feel like they're lying to themselves about it to feel better than others.
maybe they say it in a way that posting for them is a way to document their life and they only share their favorite videos and pictures bc I mean I kinda do the same thing
@@nina9609 "If only everyone could be like him" as reaction to an empty platitude uttered by someone who's been mentally neutered is an indicator of authoritarian personality indicators. I don't remember the technical term for it, but people like you fit the psychological profile of those most likely to participate in predatory organizations that seek to exert control over others (using relevant examples from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries as a basis).
I rarely use my phone anymore after I heard that ”if you use your phone for 4 hours a day, you’ll be spending more than a whole day, awake, per week, on your phone (28 hours). Instead I spend my time living life in the real world, which is the only thing that matter in the end anyway.
Mine is 7.5 hours a day and I work full time. I know i have a lot of passive time on my screen time where im doing chores or cooking and just listening to youtube or music. But RU-vid is about 4 hours a day, 2 hours on tiktok, and 1 on my work app. Half hour on misc stuff.
by the way, Apple screen time is across all devices so if you have an iPhone but not a Mac or an iPad your results will be lower than someone who has all Apple devices
The girl in the button down is so pretty! idk why but she reminds me so much of Dave Franco by her voice inflections and the way she smiles - like she could be his long lost little sister haha
RUBY!! Bless you love!! I love this app Seterra! I’ve been needed this exact simplistic straight forward geographical education in my life! Appreciate you ☺️
This just put into perspective how much time I spend on this thing... Mines 50+ hours a week ... Granted I'm disabled and spend the majority of that time doing online Dr appointments etc but wow... That's 2 whole days out of my week spent on my phone...
These kids are so cute 🥺 y'all are always talking about the youth but they have big hearts, they were so mature and communicative during this. Those last two need to go outside though and leave their phone in the house. This looks like a diverse updated breakfast club.
Messaging and FaceTime is still f****** screen time and 99% of everyone is on their phone 99% of their waking hours it'd be really hard for one person to beat another in this regardless of editing videos or staring mindlessly makes absolutely no difference.
AAAAHHH!! The video came out - hope everyone enjoys this video and laughs as hard as I did when I saw that I got number one. PS: THE DRAMA WAS LITTLE WOMEN!!!! PPS: I’m also on another jubilee video; 6 extroverts vs 1 introvert 🫂
4:32 I respect Sabrina for talking about her struggles with social media while also being transgender. Social media comes with ups and downs while being a transgender person, so you have to learn how to prioritize your own mental health over the time you spend online.
💕Thank you! (This is she) Yeah it was something I really wanted to talk about. I think I went a bit deeper into it but they couldn't include the whole rant lol.
I kind of feel if you are well socially adjusted and go out a lot, even if you use your phone a lot and are big on social media, you would probably use it less than a socially isolated individual.
dunno if sabrina will see this, but i just wanted to let her know that she is gorgeous! being a trans youth is incredibly tough, especially when we take social media and societal stereotypes into account and i applaud her for being so open about her struggles. i would genuinely want to be friends with her, and i hope she knows that she has such a radiant personality and demeanor. :)
i think as someone with anxiety, ANYONE with anxiety/social anxiety has a very high screentime. im always checking the news, texts, going on my phone to avoid people, writing my plns in my notes app. im glued to my phone, i had more time than any of these guys, and i have no socials unless u consider spotify or youtube a social.
Be ffr how much of them go on alternate forms of screens and how much time does that take... time spent on pc and television should absolutely count as screentime Edit: I did misinterpret the daily averages as weekly averages so I thought they meant the hours were cumulative from the week (2 hours a week seemed absurd to me). Regardless my point definitely still stands... computer screen time should be included in this lmao
Last week I averaged 12 hours 44 minutes a day with over 30 hours on RU-vid 🤕 Granted, I drive a lot for my job and I always listen to podcasts on RU-vid when I drive so that accounts for a big chunk of it. It’s still crazy to see though.
