It’s good to see your company isn’t one of those that burns bridges with competitors just because they’re competitors. The electrical company I work for has a major competitor but we’ve always helped each other whether it’s labour hire, materials or sending customers their way when we are far too busy or vice versa.

On the subject on the lorry's looking nice. I think it's rather simple. The company supplies a lorry, maintains it and all. If the driver wants to put lights on it, a chrome bullbar and what not. That's their choice and they pay for it. Drivers willing to pay 100s of pounds to make their lorry look nice are probably the ones who'll take care of them, especially when it's their money

Something to consider for the tunnel job, look at renting a 3500 series flatbed van with crane on back. Use mini digger for the digging and put in the bags,van takes loaded bags out to skip on road or nearby less busy street and load onto big truck. Charge customer for crane van rental. The picture would only be weird if you had it made. It was a gift, not weird at all. Keep the O’Donovan banter up. Even if it’s a short phone call. I’d pay to see those to trash talk each other for an hour lol

12:47 Dan, here are my opinions, get a dropside van, as it is 2 metres wide, or alternatively thinking outside of the box (would see if you can place scaffolding on the pavement, under the bridge and place it higher enough to ensure a Luton van will fit below and place a conveyer belt (on the scaffolding) to remove all waste to the opposite side and ensure it can be collected by your vehicles. Might work, as the scaffolding could be nearly as high as the air con units to avoid closing the road.

Seen the tippers down there while moving kit about in our lorry what a great fleet of tippers u have 👍

You can get even smaller grabs based on a 5 ton transit or sprinter. Would be perfect in and around London or that tight job you was looking at

Don't know if anyone suggested in thr comments but you can schedule your emails to go out at a specific time. That is unless you prefer to have total control over the process.

I think the train companies need to compensate Asheville each time they dont show up, since they give fines when ever a train hasn't offloaded on time. Imagine commiting to a client for aggregate supply who gives penalty for failure of delivery, then not have trains show up that week.

Your issue with the access to the job you are quoting for is hire a waste collection company with tipper vans, transits and merc sprinter will fit down there with both mirrors in, mini digger muck into back. Yes an extra cost involved but a time saving cost
