A more pertinent question would be 'who cares?'

I have not voted in any election since June 2016 since I have seen no advantage of what any of them might mean to me. But, to my mind Braverman did all that was within her powers to do, given the task. But, as seems more or less the Rule, she was frustrated in all attempts to satisfy the desires of the nation by the Law. The Judiciary is a two - edged sword. Its members are un-accountable to the public / electorate, but if it were we`d still be finding islands toward which we`d sail lads for stealing hankerchiefs. Kier Starmer and his new Home Secretary will now be met with exactly the same resistance. But Starmer has already emboldened those who wish to enter the United Kingdom illegally by bringing an end to any threat of them being removed to Rwanda - as remote as that threat might have been. The first thing, then, I want to hear from Kier Starmer and his Home Secretary is how the Labour Party will end the illegal entry into the UK. Oh - then renationalise the Utility Companies. Comparatively few of us must go by train as compared go without water, gas and electricity.

A lot of my surrounding that grew up under labour were getting warned how harmful the Tories could be if they came to power. Sure, Labour isnt my nr 1 choice either but then the 14 years in question happened. Some people pretend its some natural fatique that makes it easy to lose an election after being in power for this long but there is some difference in not quite getting enough votes for a majority and getting that obliterated by the public. After this experience, I cant imagine many of us would consider the Tories for a vote in our lifetime. They gonna have to do some serious rebranding but even then, history will always know them as the party that introduced brexit. And if they think the solution is going further to the right, I can only feel sorry for them.

Should lead? No idea. Will lead? It's going to be a headbanger, one of the usual loud nutjobs who made the Tories unelectable. After they get sick of the stupidity, it's a question whether the Tories self-destruct or they eject the nutjobs. I have no idea which of those options will result.

There are videos going around of a protest outside Bethnal green station. Police arrested 3 Bangladeshis for having banners calling Sunak a coconut. They were held without charge or interview for 15 hours and then just let go. No media was present at all to cover the protest.
