Who should make Berhalter's USMNT Roster for October games v Germany & Ghana?

For koleosho if he comes then he’ll have to file a one time switch, so if he didn’t make his mind up yet then it makes sense to continue w the u20s until he’s made his choice. Hopefully he’s made his choice now and is playing with us. The Germany friendly is in his home state of Connecticut, maybe that’ll sway him to be part of this camp.

Agree 100% with what you said on Brooks I remember seeing a comment where someone said that Gio wasn’t bigger than the USMNT (the topic was about happened with GGG and his parents) and then it became clear, that no player is or should be bigger than the team. BUT, it seems as Gregg is definitely bigger than the team

I agree, Pete. If you think John Brooks is one of the best 4-5 CBs in the pool, we need to continue to bring him up. That's the most basic level of accountability for Berhalter and USSF, who clearly would rather not talk about it. Remember, they haven't even admitted to there ever having been an issue, let alone an unforgivable sin. If there was something so egregious by Brooks that he should never be called back into the team, and especially if it has nothing to do with his play on the field, then we as fans deserve some sort of explanation -- at the very least, acknowledgement that there was indeed an issue.

Ugh watched Dortmund vs Hoffenheim today and Brooks basically gave away a goal and was partially involved in another and I was rooting for him thinking Berhalter might be watching on behalf of Gio(who didn't get off the bench)

To me gio booth and Tillman are all the same creative midfield type. Personally I think booth is gio’s back up in a 4231 set up before Tillman. Obviously he is injured but my midfield etched in stone is Gio Booth Mckennie De la torre Musah Adams (Johnny if room) Especially now with Musah understudying pogeba and playing with more defensive responsibility, having a emergency back up for Adams is covered. Tillman would fit more of the tucked in winger for me.

There is definitely a case to be made that JAB should be called in, the question becomes does he accept not being a starter bc the word from some of his last calls ups was that he didn't take well to that?!

I surprised Canada hasn’t put on a full court press for Koleosho. If they switched to a back 4 He would pretty much me a locked in starter on the left wing for them. And honestly he and Davies on the same side of be pitch would be fun to see.

How do you feel about these next two games with Germany and Ghana? Based on these last two games, I'm really concerned. No hate on GGG, but his lack of flexibility on formation was a head shaker. It was obvious that it wasn't working for Balogun. And now with Gio possibly back does Gregg just stick him back out o the wing? Is it possible for Gregg to own his mistake and move away from his beloved 4-3-3? Shifting to something like a 4-2-3-1 would put both Gio and Balogun in positions to use their abilities. I just worry that Greggs prides gonna keep him from making changes. Even if it's the right thing to do.

Can we stop with the John brooks bull shit. Like I get it he was phased out of the team before he should of, but let’s not act like he’s significantly better than the cb’s we have now, if he’s even better at all. Yeah he plays in bundesliga and does solid, but do we need another senior cb that probably wont help us for 26 (like ream) just let guys like trusty neal McKenzie ccv (when healthy) mark mckenzie even like Erik Palmer-brown like I’m tired of hearing about snubbing John brooks when he’s at best a borderline player at a position we have plenty of depth at. Zimmerman and Robinson are still serviceable, let’s not act like not calling in brooks is the same as not calling in gio.

As a 4th winger if Koleosho isn't selected or declines an invite, I'd bring Cowell. He's looks energetic when he's played for the USMNT. Actually more effective with them than with San Jose, which is interesting. Maybe on the USMNT he gets more opportunities in isolation to run at defenders, given other threats that have to be accounted for. On Gio, my bet is that he isn't called in for this camp. Crocker's recent statement was somewhat cryptic when he said something about "next camp that he's healthy". Even though he's back on the gameday roster for Dortmund, I'm reading between the lines there and guessing that they are going to leave him out again. A well managed team and federation would work with the club in that type of situation, to ensure he'll be used in a way that contributes to his continued progress towards full fitness. But...well, you know...So my guess is he'll be out, GGG will kick the can down the road, and will use lack of 100% fitness as his excuse.

John Brooks is too slow for Gregg's system. Sometimes it's just a bad fit. We can acknowledge that he's good elsewhere, and I hope he has a nice career or whatever, but frankly unless he comes back to MLS... Jimmy crack corn, and I don't care.

Personally i'd swap out cardoso for cremaschi the kids looked good for miami and in the oman game
