I think there’s Good chance Honduras ties Panama.

He has been pretty good about playing solid line ups the last couple windows. I think he’ll stick with the regular starters

@@Handysoccersc personally I think there no chance Panama doesn’t walk over Honduras. Especially at home, Panama has been playing really well and I actually really admire their play. Now pair that up with a very weak Honduras team with zero hopes of qualifying, it just sounds like a W for Panama. With this momentum, we should be a little scared for the home game with Panama, and for this whole cycle in general

Sure, but this is the first time in qualifying to have a fit and confident pulisic, mls players are match fit. And even horvath had some minutes going in. All considered it could be much worse

DLT is still underrated. He has a chip on his shoulder. He brings composure to the MF. The Wes injury disaster may end up improving our performance.

I think De La Torre is gonna really take his shot here and have a great window. McKennie is irreplaceable but I have faith in the guys we will put on the field. GGG and the tactics tho....😬

I think if Greg starts Adams(no brainer), Acosta and Musah it should be the 2nd best safe trio we have especially against Mexico, hoping Acosta has one of those solid performances. I wouldn’t also mind De La Torre and Musah as the 8’s. But knowing Greg i think Acosta starts next to Musah and doesn’t risk it, hard to tell if DLT’s performance against a frozen, sad Honduras team was enough, i think so considering our best midfielder is done for the season. I think DLT mostly comes off the bench to cover for most likely Musah since he can be a little too saucy and aggressive with guys on him while still maintaining possession. I think it might piss off some of Mexico’s defenders. And knowing Mexico, they’re gonna try to play scrappy if its not going their way and get into our guys heads with hard fouls. Really depends on how Acosta or Musah are playing and the score. If Musah is in control and Acosta isn’t having his best game, might as well sub in DLT to have some more offense. Its going to be a high flying match with good weather this time around. Last window lowkey sucked with frozen tundra weather. Im soo pumped, but man it’s going to be a nail biting window😆😬

If México is without Herrera and Guardado it'll most likely be good news for us. Tata could be starting up Erick Gutiérrez and Charly Rodriguez, two players who have been killing it in their clubs along with Edson Álvarez (who's also been killing as well). We'd much more rather see those two rather than Herrera and Guardado since they are too old and don't have the same exact level of skill like how they did before. But still, I think we'd still struggle having two of our worst defenders Chaka and Gallardo who have nothing to do in the team instead of Julian Araujo and Arteaga. What also would be very good for us is calling up Marcelo Flores and Chicharito

Modern football hurts traditional 9’s, there are very few at the top level anymore. Used to having a target man or “fox in the box” was ideal but now modern forwards are creating more, involved in build up more, be more technical and press way more.

Jesús almost definitely starts against México.

Sargent should be called in to see if he can offer anything as an 8 or on the wing, but he’s shown that he’s not a 9 and should never be played as a striker. I would call him in, try him at various positions in practice, but most likely he wouldn’t be in any first 23. He was a skill youth player, but he still hasn’t found his position at the senior level. Pefok should absolutely NOT start vs México, but if we are getting crosses in against México’s lineup, then maybe he comes on with 10 to 15 minutes remaining to see if he can bungle in a high cross. No way should Pefok ever start against México at over 7,000 feet above sea level. He would be dead before halftime.

@@dawghouse4853- Sargent had one game where he had two goals while playing on the RIGHT WING. Other than that, Sargent hasn’t been effective in about 3 years, when the US was playing a 3rd string squad from one of the former Yugoslavian countries. Josh Sargent doesn’t think & move quickly enough to be a striker. He isn’t capable of succeeding in that position.

I don’t understand this sentiment of Sargent playing as an 8. Ive seen it mentioned many times. I can only imagine people inspired by Newcastle and joelington. Nonetheless if USMNT were to experiment with him in a midfield three it wouldn’t be a high stake game.

@@cadenturner1631 It’s nothing to do with Joelington but what you have available to work with. I am pretty sure Lleget and Roldan would be able to handle the Premier League. Also, I don’t think Luca could either. But we are seeing Sargent handling the pressure-dribbling out, not turning it over against some pretty good competition. And who do you want to start in place of Mckennie? Do you feel comfortable with Luca? I would rather have Reyna but physically he isn’t ready for a full game

@@chuckchuck8643- Jordan Morris is better than Sargent and even Paul Arriola was showing Gregg in the first game of the season, that Gregg attended in person, and hat he’s a more versatile winger than Sargent by sending in a cross for an assist from the left side, narrowly missing a goal when playing on the right side and cutting in for a curler with his left foot, and in general being the Man of the Match that day. Sargent may get called in, but he’s not a striker, and other than a target on set pieces, he’s not a good winger either.

Chance Miller yeah I’m not a big fan of those three but if I had to take one, Morris for me. I honestly would love Konrad to stop being unprofessional and get serious so he can get his chance. But reports from France have stated that he is unprofessional. That’s why he lost his spot with his club.

I cannot believe the level of disrespect towards Weah. Did you see the last Mexico game? They have no answer for him. Agree that Aaronson should be played as a CAM or not a winger but I think we'd be doing Mexico a huge favor by benching Weah

@@dg8448- Not sure what you are talking about. Everyone expects Weah to start every match (if possible) at Right Wing. So he’s so respected that his position isn’t eve questioned. He’s basically the only person on the team that you can say that about, including Pulisic. 🤷‍♂️
