And to be fair, having a tv that close to a VR play space is a massive risk, especially if you’re letting people who don’t have extensive experience with VR use it. Not blaming donut though. Good on John for owning up to it immediately, plenty of kids would have hid it and blamed it on a cat knocking it over or something.

Yeah. He's better than my brother. I had seen him break our TV with a broom when he was brooming and my mum asked me if I knew who done it I said that I was my brother and not a min later she comes in yelling at me why I broke it. I then proved I didn't break it with screen time on my phone to show I was on my phone in my room and showed mum that his had a break when it was broken and that's how she found out it was him 😂

@@snapped4433 Interesting, modern technology used to present proof of innocence to a parent who had been lied to. I imagine it only lead to only MORE punishment for your brother, which for having not just F'd up but also LIED to his mother? Yeah, he's earned a straightening-out. Whereas if he owned up to it like John had so maturely and honestly done, the correct thing for your mother to do is to explain calmly how she's disappointed that it happened, but grateful for his honesty, and so they'll figure out a way to fix the problem. Whether it's more chores, or getting a job for a while so as to buy a new TV with his money, possibly leading to him remaining at the job if he doesn't mind it and wants more spending money, etc. Though if your brother was pre-teen when it happened... I dunno if it's either possible or wise to get him a job lol I had one at 14 and it was not a fun experience for me... at all... and a prick of a co-worker ended up basically bullying me and taking advantage of me albeit it in a non-sexual way thankfully but regardless I just stopped showing up and then they called to ask if I'll be coming in again and I told them 'no.' Then that was that... I was barely a teen, kids are dumb, I might not have even told them how that co-worker was being an ass-hat.
