Great tips, Sandy! I frankly would never think of sending donations that don't "fit" a charity's mission, but I also never thought of entering into a conversation like that. Love your ending--sneaky! :)
Andrea La Vigne Some folks do, and I do understand they just want to give what they want to give....so hopefully OWH can leave a legacy of educated donors who can make more impact. (And the sneaky was fun! heehee!)
You made me laugh! I loved making masculine and kid cards but I'm enjoying flowers and butterflies and more girlie cards again now. I have to confess I started out sending OWH my surplus of cards that I had made but quickly realized our heroes needed other types of cards and changed my focus and learned a lot in the process
You're a sly one one, you are! I would never have thought of sending a charity something that didn't fit their mission...but it takes all kinds and I understand your point of not wanting to turn down/off a donor. You continue to educate us...beyond card making.
Every year I do 300 Christmas cards that I give to a senior medical home for lalone people and they love it, they call me back every year and are very eager for my cards
