The movie this is based on is Carmen Jones and it wasn't an opera. This was some crap Townsend thought would be clever. It was not. When it 1st came out, I couldn't get through 5 minutes of it. Harry Belefonte was a simp in the original movie but not a super simp in 3 minutes. Sheesh

Plus, she just gave me the vibes of a modern day OnlyFans/content creator that makes sexual explicit materials with no care in the world. At the end of the movie I clapped for when Carmen got murked by the lieutenant at the show backstage. She had it coming the same way Hill did for going along with Carmen’s BS after simping for her.
