Well, you can say today those movies about dumb N)&**&... really is Atlanta today... you can't say its not... Its a lot more accurate since black people have made it more of a reality vs moving from the idea of doing dumb things... also, women do that to kids here..... in that room scene with that woman.... LOL
I have this movie, and if you didn't know that's Melvins 13 year old son Mario in that opening scene. Cleopatra Jones is great, too. Melvin also did watermelon man. We even have a movie called Boss Ni**er. Basically, it's Blazing Saddles for black people. I think Melvin might have done that one, too. The movie Pretty Baby, that's a white people's movie, it was mid 70's after Sweet. That movie has Brooke Sheilds playing a child prostitute. I can't believe the whole dam crew down to craft services wasn't arrested for that one. I'm not describing it because it's that bad. It is definitely child pornography in my book. I saw it right up to that part and shut it off. Balckula is a good one, too. If you haven't seen it, check it out, too, and Dolmite.
Okay, I'm gonna assume this was a mix between Romeo and Juliet, and a Soap Opera, but putting some hood in it? So many things in this movie got me confused like what?!
Personally, I couldn't stand this movie. The acting is garbage. The dialog was straight garbage. Half of the scenes were ripped from other movies. The pacing makes you go to sleep
I completely enjoyed your review / summary. I watched this in the early 2000s. But I was totally reminded of why I will never watch this film again. That film was over two hours long if I remember correctly.😂😂😂👍 Excellent summary in the end. Thanks!
Blacula beat Francis Ford Coppola to the reincarnated wife subplot by more than a decade. I really like this one. Christopher Lee did two Dracula movies set in the seventies but neither of them really take advantage of the setting like this one does. This movie might have the ugliest sideburns I've ever seen.
This is what you called.. REALISTIC Found footage film making. The opening scene scared the FUQ out of me when i was 18- 19 when i first seen this. It was almost to real in a sence. 😅😂 31 now & that scene STYLLLL shakes me. 😂🇨🇦🇨🇦 shoutouts from Canada 🙏🙏
The way the film is edited/filmed reminds me of this other Gangster movie from the 70's. It's not an American film mind you, it's from Yugoslavian Serbia. Title is called " young & healthy as a Rose".. check it out if you get the chance. It was actually released same year as this classic😊
3:14 As a filmmaker myself, look at that wind ruining the shot! How come they couldn't wait 10 mins to shoot this scene? Was the budget that tight? Or was camron like "Jus film it, I gotta see the P.O. in 30 mins"? I could never get over that windy ass seen, even when I first watched it I thought "Why not wait a min or just shoot some indoor shit till the wind dies down".
A movie about two broken, down and out soles. One was from the country Texas or Oklahoma. The other was from the big city. Joe Buck was a tall, blonde hair, blue eyed, good looking man who leaves Texas or Oklahoma to find his calling as a gigolo or kept lover in New York City to women who were divorced or widowed. They were the old money WASP (White Anglo-Saxon Protestant) type. Only when arriving, the city is not very friendly. Ratso Rizzo was a homeless con man, grifter, short change artist.
Great film. Proves you don’t need a million dollars or a huge studio to have a successful project. A great idea/story, some talented people, and raw determination go a long way. 10 out of 10.
