Also he has amazing hair! Very attractive man to look and listen to. Probably one the biggest reasons i am a Sabaton fan. ALso..whenever his videos premier on YT he does join in the chat which is amazing.
I remember the first time I saw the movie and I cried my heart out when she died and I felt his heartbreaking sorrow... That has made a great impression on me... I love the song and I love Tommy and his amazing voice!
I just discovered Tommy about 6 months ago and had no idea who he was. As I've continued watching, not only his guitar skills, but his voice also have continued to blow me away time and time again. He has an absolutely incredible voice. He can belt and scream like a metal singer, sure. But he can also have such a delicate touch when he wants to. I wouldn't be surprised if he can do operatic singing as well. Glad you've discovered him.
This is one of the best Queen covers I have ever heard. If you want to hear more awesome vocals from Tommy, I recommend his covers of Phantom of the Opera, She's Gone (Steelheart) and The Light - not actually a cover but the re-recording of the first single he released with his band ReinXeed (called Majestica now) as a 20- year anniversary celebration. He started that band when he was 14, a lot of band members changed over the years except Tommy who is singer and songwriter

If you were blown away by this one, wait till you check out some of his other covers. "She's gone" & "Never let you go" by Steelheart, "Alone" by Heart, "Eagle fly free" by Helloween, some Gary Moore covers, incredible Disney/Sabaton mashups and of course "You raise me up". That one hits hard! Really really hard!! He sings the whole song one octave higher than the original! Insane voice range! Out of this world! Brace yourselves cause he is on... supersonic mode on that one! Anyways, that was a great reaction and I hope you will do more reactions on him. This guy is beyond amazing! You have begun on an incredible journey into the world of Tommy! Might I suggest his "Disneyton" (Disney & Sabaton) mashup, "Swedish Pagans" and his "You Raise Me Up" (1 Octave Challenge) videos. All of his covers & mashups are great but these are two of my faves.

Yes Ginger he does not lead sing for Sabaton but has another group Majestica where he does sing. He is a multi instrumentalist and brilliant vocalist. Mike I agree with your sentiments. My favorite version of this is the night after the shooting at The Pulse nightclub and Queen + Adam Lambert performed it at The Isle of Wight festival. Adam gave an amazing performance and Roger Taylor said he had never heard it sung like that before. The lighting and vocals made it a spectacular performance.
Well...there are soo many videos to choose from...all of which are excellent. My favorites are his rendition of Heart's Alone and the One Octave Challenge....as well as his catalog of Gary Moore covers - which was a huge guitar inspiration to him growing up.
Oh yes, you guys gotta dive into more of his covers, they are all excellent! I don't even know where to start... Phantom of the Opera, You raise me up (1 octave challenge), Una canzone d'amore.... For the latter one I recommend to take a sneak peek at 883's original to see how he changed it. Have lots of fun!
So surprising that he doesn't sing lead for Sabaton but they have gone a different route. This is a great performance but doesn't get even close to his upper range. What a singer !!
Though Tommy's voice is certainly amazing in his own glory, somehow when he sings instead of Joakim in Sabaton, the songs doesn't have the same power. His vocals sure can go gritty too, and darker, but not like Joakim. So there is that reason, if no other.

Tommy has a great voice and range. All of his covers are amazing. You should definitely check out his Phantom of the Opera rendition. The tempo was faster than the original. I unfortunately felt this rendition was missing a bit of the "majesty" of the original because of that. But the performance is REALLY enjoyable!!! :-)
With christmas approaching, Tommy singing lead in his band Majestica - Ghost of Marley. My favorite covers are Gary Moore - Over the Hills and Far Away, who by the way, was the musician that initially inspired Tommy. And his cover of Roxette - The Look is cool too (but has to be the one Swedish Hitz Goes Metal ft. PelleK).. Of course there are so many good ones including this one.

I think it's especially impressive that he released this while on tour. I had assumed his Friday videos released while on tour were prerecorded at home, but this one clearly wasn't (being a tribute to Queen Elizabeth II after all). Do check out Majestica.
Wow, how could I have not heard you say you’re Canadian before?? Hi from Nova Scotia!! (I’m a transplant, was from Ontario only a few months ago). Tommy is amazing! Yes, sounds like Freddy, and this song is definitely from a great movie!! In the last year or so, the 3 people I’ve discovered that are out of this world are Dimash, Faouzia and Tommy. All 3 are phenomenal in their own rights! Glad you’re doing these reactions!! (Oh, and I also lived in England for a bit, but since moving back I haven’t really been keeping up in them anarchy stuff, just couldn’t be bothered, but her passing is definitely a huge deal).
ReinXeed and Majestica are the same band, just changed their name (in 2019), and it's NOT a Christian band. He was in a Christian band though, Golden Resurrection

He ain’t Freddy, but he’s pretty fine. This is one of the most heartbreaking love songs from the 80’s and he nailed it. We are very pro-Queen in our household. Maybe we could get Sabaton to do a cover of “Flash!”

Well, I'm an old enough old fart to remember the funeral of KG VI and the coronation of Queen Elisabeth II, somewhere lot in time is my coronation mug handed out at school, we all got one. Yeh, I'm with Mike, QE II is a hard/impossible act to follow and presently I am no huge fan of KC III either, but time will tell. Incidentally, have you two permanently escaped the bitter cold of Canada for somewhere more tropical and sunny ?
I would love to see him perform with Queen, instead of the bloke they chose, he's got the voice,charisma and presence, I've been a Queen fan since the 70s but for me I wasn't a fan of their choice. Of singer.
Not bad, but compared to Freddie Mercury, it is what it is. Just my personal opinion but Freddie sang this about fifty million times better,no disrespect meant to this guy
It would be wise to avoid comparing Freddie to anyone when it comes to Queen covers, it's just impossible to outdo him. At the same time this is one of the best non-Freddie performances of this song I have heard, comparable to Adam's Isle of Wight performance. You don't have to agree with me, of course. Just adding my 2 cents
Agreed David, no amount of oversinging can make up for the lack of expression that's in Mercury's voice. This is just a very good cover but nothing more.
