One can argue Akuma trained himself. When he was still under Goutetsu's tutelage, he could never defeat him. It wasn't until he trained alone by himself for years and came back with a greater mastery of their art and the Satsui no Hado than Goutetsu, that he defeated him in a deathmatch. If he'd stayed under Goutestsu, he wouldn't be anywhere near as powerful. Both of Goutetsu's students surpassed him, if you think about it. Akuma directly by perfecting the violent nature of their art, and Gouken indirectly by changing the nature of their martial art in his version of it. If Goutetsu were ever added, I don't expect him to be that strong, unless he's given some sort of mystical powerup. It would also be pretty cool to see some proto-archaic version of the shoto playstyle. The original shoto, if you will.

Goutetsu would be a great boss imagine mysteriously returning to life and cause chaos and destruction this be a great story for Akuma, Gouken and Ryu but this might feel like a copy of Tekken 5 story of Jinpachi coming back to life and Heihachi and Jin involved taking him out.

The reason akuma is so powerful is that people thinknhe lost his way to the Satsui no hado but I think akuma is the only one to truly master it. Unlike ryu and others it doesn't control him he controls it. He's the only one we seen so far that isn't really affected by it's uncontrollable nature. It may seem that way to us but to akuma he mastered it.
