In Britain from 1800 to 1900. 20,000 Waterwheels decreased in number. Windmills decreased in number. The Englishman Thomas Newcomen's 1,500 Atmospheric Pumps disappeared. The Scotsman James Watt's 500 Steam Engines and their descendants increased in number to 10,000,000 !!! That's an increase of between 400 and 500 times in available Power output for the whole country !!! A percentage increase of between 40,000 % and 50,000 % !!! So for every single Waterwheel in the year 1800, we now had between 400 and 500 James Watt type Steam Powered Engines in the year 1900, and you don't need a river of flowing water for each one either !!! If that's not an Industrial Revolution, then I don't know what is !!! And it was all due to James Watt's INVENTION of the world's first PRACTICAL Steam Engine! The Spinning and Weaving Revolution? Agricultural Revolution? Etc, etc? They are just natural IMPROVEMENTS due to increasing knowledge of the world around us, and Industrialisation that's been ongoing for over 2000 years. They don't compare with Watt's TRUE Industrial Revolution.

Watt wasn't the improver of the steam engine. Watt was the inventor of the first PRACTICAL High Pressure Steam Engine, an engine that provided Steam Power. James Watt dumped Thomas Newcomen's Atmospheric Power and Arkwright's Water-Power for Steam Power, ( I've never heard this mentioned in any Utube video, believe it or not! ). To achieve this he had to invent a new engine. The world's first PRACTICAL High Pressure Steam Powered Engine. His optional Separate Condenser didn't apply to the Newcomen atmospheric pump. It applied to his own invention, the Steam Engine. His condenser recirculated hot water and eliminated Atmospheric pressure, which opposes a steam engine. It made his own invention more efficient. Before him there were no practical steam engines. There were only Newcomen Atmospheric Pumps, which provided Atmospheric Power, a maximum of 10psi and that couldn't provide rotary power and Water-Wheels. After and because of James Watt's invention, The Industrial Revolution volution. The Newcomen atmospheric pump was a 70 years long dead-end. Watt's engine changed every single industry, including weaving and spinning, and created many more. So, he also invented the industrial revolution. Look up anything about James Watt and the first thing you'll get is the mantra " James Watt did not invent the steam engine ". It's so common and widespread, it's obviously a brain-washing exercise.

It would be odd if Watt hadn't seen a kettle boiling! ( allegedly).

So Watt's son is how James Watt Sr. became an icon. But he's still a genius, not as good as Einstein but at least like Elon Musk or Ford.

Hello Mr Watt. My grandfather was in love with James Watt's steam engine work. My grandfather died when i was young and i don't have many memories of him, but one thing i distinctively remember him telling me is is about your ancestors work! I hope life is well for you.

Nice Anniversary! According to this, Watt did'nt invent anything! Who was James Watt? Watt was the Inventer of the world's first PRACTICAL High Pressure working Steam Engine! It changed the country by increasing its Power output by a whopping 500 times between 1800 and 1900 !!! This WAS the Industrial Revolution. And then the world!
