Who was Samuel Johnson? In this lesson we take a look at the life the man who compiled the first ever definitive version of the English Dictionary...Dr Samuel Johnson.
In the lesson I say..'due to...' Which means 'because of'. You are stating the reason for something. 'I was late for work due to the slow traffic'. (Misterduncan)
Wow, your teaching style is really enchanting , it's fun... It doesn't feel like I'm studying something... Nd I'm really surprised by seeing tht.... This is 14yrs old video..... Nd the editing is just so good.. Doesn't seems tht it could be tht old vdo..
Thank you, Mr.Duncan, for your great work! Despite all my years of learning English, I still have so many things to learn from your videos! My special gratitude is for all the idioms you have been giving for all of us. It's such a precious material for people who are living outside the English-speaking community! And please, don't stop doing your lessons and teaching us, I beg you!
It is really amazing cathedral. I was there in 1997 when I was a student, who worked at a Church Farm. I was under impression of England, indeed. I sometimes miss England and some people I met there. They were really frendly and helpful. I hope I will go there one day with my familly. Thank you so mauch Mr Duncan.
Thanks mr duncan for Made me know about Sit johnson and his life story. It was very emotional, very sad and unjust but with an happy ending! Thank to share with us these wonderful things. Litchfield cathedreal is a sublime gothic architecture , It's a british treasure! I hope I'll visit it one day. Kisses from Naples(Italy)
Thank you, MisterDuncan for this awesome testimonial celebrating a great English linguist. Your programme stuns by the professionalism and impeccable craftsmanship of production. It really is hard to believe that a project of this kind can be completed by just one person, and that the result can be so perfect! I loved the tour of the cathedral and I really appreciated the information about the grand figure that Samuel Johnson was. And, of course, I totally enjoyed it! :)
Enchanting lesson, I'm so grateful, not words to describe how I appreciate your lesson, particularly this one. I hope one day to see you, I'd like to clutch your hand personally and compliment you about these great works, helpful for me. I hope one day to speak english as I speak Italian, I must be patient! Hope you continue in this way and also more. Thank you very much. I send you one of my own song, wrote for my grand mother: Angela, hope you would like it. Bye bye Evi
Sorry you are having problems. This is a very long video. Maybe if you pause the video at the start and let it load (Cache) for about 5 minutes. It should be OK. (Misterduncan)
