I knew I had to listen to the entire talk when Shaykh Yaseen mentioned the series Ertrugral at the beginning because that was *exactly* how I first heard of Shaykh Ibn Arabi and have been looking for more education on this great man and his teachings!

I hate depiction of personalities like Imam Ibn Arabi (RA) in series because it is a major disrespect to them by putting commoners like us to represent him in it. They should rather mention him without having to actually put his character in the screen.
36:39 I think the concept of URS is this.. We Ahlus Sunnah believe the day of URS of saint, is the day when saint passes away. When beloved(Awliya) meets Allah . Hence it is important day and we remember it every year. Here, Shaykh explains the gathering of prophets and Hud alaisalam, came yo visit a Qutub Who passed away. This is just what I thought, I'm not a student of Islamic studies or Dars e Nizami please don't abuse me..
We use raziallah hu tala anh for sahab. For tabaeen and after that we use rahmatullah alay... Not sure why lecturer did it purposely or unintentionally.
Assalamu Alaikum brother, I don't know much on your topic. But if someone sees Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) in their dream should be classed as Sahaba. The reason behind this is as Rasool Allah himself said it that if someone sees Me in his/her, then they have certainly seen him. As Shaytan cannot imitate Rasool Allah (SAWS). I HOPE I WAS ABLE TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION. Now you might be thinking who can see Rasool Allah? Their is a simple formula to it. Forgive people for their shortcomings, do not do Shirk at all. M Khan by looking at your humbleness may Allah escalate you in ranks of this dunya and hereafter. Criteria for being a sahaba is a person should see prophet s.a.s in his hayat (life) and he should die with Iman. Also sahaba are those whom prophet s.a.s has given them that Allah is pleased with them thats why we use Raziallahu talah anh. Nobody after them will be able to become sahaba because of the martaba they had and nobody after them will be equal to them.
Sahaba is sahaba...... No one reach his post ........but when we hear his name we say Raziallahu anhu or anha........ If someone who is not sahaba... And you say "r.z " for that.... This not means that the awliya and sahaba is equal naoozbillah....... Its a blessings........ I dont know anymore about this topic but ask muftyane ikram for this topic... Inshaallah i will ask..
True indian raziallah and rehmatullah make difference the same way we make difference between sahaba and tabaeen. Indeed we should be cautious because prophet has inform us about sahaba that Allah is pleased with them.
@@m313shaikh bro ibn arabi was not on right track...he was delusional....he invented sufism...he said Allah is in every being and everything...which is not right way as it creates a small door for shaitaan to ruin your eemaan...hence he went further into his madness and lost the true meaning of islam.... Allah is above 7 heavens ... Allah sees everything from there ....Hears everything from there(mentioned in Qur'an and hadees)....
Muhyiddin ibn al arabi, if I'm not mistaken. He was unanimously regarded as a apostate, because of what he said. Even imam ad dzahabi, even though he tried to justifies, he cannot when he started the kind of wahdatul wujud (pantheist) type of belief. May allah have mercy on him
Asalamu alaykum. It's not a unanimous decision. The scholars that have performed takfir on him do so because they have read the outward meanings of his work. Other scholars that reject this takfir do so because they understand that his work has an inner meaning because sufi texts go quite deep and requires a lengthy period of understanding as the text are not supposed to be taken wholly literally at first glance. Despite having this stancd, quite a lot of scholars recommend not to read his books regardless for concern that someone will take on the literally understanding. In this video, the shaykh described wahdatul wujud at 33:08 if you are interested in learning what it means further. Another way of interpreting the principle is that "Oneness of Being" means that Allah alone can be described as having true Being. Whilst everything else in creation is so insignificant compared to Allah's Being. And Allah knows best. Hope my explaination was helpful.
People only takfired him because his works aren’t meant for everyone to read, they are only meant for him, and the people that understood him and his metaphors, his works are 100% metaphors
