It's weird. I was born in Peoria and grew up in range of the Peoria TV stations, and this sign-off is burned so firmly in my mind that it can come up unbidden, and I know I feared it for some reason. Even now, it triggers that stupid childhood fear of the isolation, and *what if something came out of the TV*? No, it doesn't make sense. It's irrational. It's childish. And it'll never go away. And you picked this up from Kendallville, where my best friend worked for years, and now only an hour or so away from Fort Wayne, where I live now. A town I've been to countless times, for the tiny theater and for all sorts of other excursions. It's a small world.

@@looneytunes9000 Peoria's ABC feed (HOI ABC) is now on a digital subchannel of WEEK-TV. Of course, that means if you have reception problems on one of them, both will be bad.
