Great that you are willing to help others, thumbs up! I will be in guangzhou in about one month for a few weeks (canton fair). I would be happy if you could share some major things to be careful for (like "5 things you shouldn't do for business in guangzhou")
+Oweis Azizi Guangzhou is great city and very safe but still be carful as you would in any new city. Don't change money on the street you will be asked if you want to change money. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-09qdNlffgGE.html they will give you fake money. ther scams are the tea/bar scam where you will make friends with 1 or 2 good looking girls who will take you to bar/tea shop where you will be charge $100's and beating up if you don't pay. If you going to use taxi's only use real taxi and not people asking if you want taxi who will have no meter and will over charge you. For business just know your prices, they will over charge you, when you ask can you make this or do this the first thing they will say is YES even before they check they can then later when they cant your scrowed. Always get them to make you samples before you order they will show you samples they have made but get them to make new one coz they use other peoples samples just to show you. Make sure you have someone to check your orders before shipping if you can't go. About 20-30% of things they make will be wrong or defective. I know one guy 100% of his order was wrong but he didn't check to save him self the trip back to check and when he got it it was all wrong. Don't use gmail, google is blocked in china so you cant read any emails better to open yahoo or other email. downland app called wechat. Get new cards made with a 2nd email address, after the fair your inbox is going to be full of spam. Check out some my other videos on using subway and foods to eat. Have great time.
+nav san thanks alot for your explanations! I will tell my experiences when I'm back in november. I guess others will also be happy if they can learn from your (and in future also mine) experiences
+Oweis Azizi you're welcome let me know how things go. I'm going 5th November the day after fair closes when the rush ends and price half. drop me email when you're out there if you need any help.
+ollieflp Hi how things? Yiwu is more off shelf product they don'y make things there for you unlike Guanzhou where you can have things made to your order. At its good for small businesses who can't buy lots from factorys. Shipping can cost a lot more than one large shipment as yur buys small amount. Its worth going just to see you might find somthing there. I went many years ago but found Guanzhou better.
+nav san Not so bad and thanks again. Thinking of going over to China so may try and check out this location theres loads of information stating that ones better than the other ect. but the prices seem a bit extreme
ollieflp you're first trip is just going to be fact finding. Take your time when out there. When you thinking of going? You just missed the canton fair. It might be good for you to go for the April 2016 one. You can get lots of information all in one place.
+nav san Hi Nav thinking of going end 2016 just holiday but want to check out business opportunities too. Ive looked into canton fair thats anther thing to do on my ever growing list. The issue i have is that some say Yiwu is better for small business but on the other hand Guangzhou is better for manufacturing its confusing and as for those prices it seems there wont be much money in it
ollieflp I think you will need to go for 4 weeks if you want holiday and business. Yes Yiwu is better for small business who don't want to make big orders, can just pay and go. I think thats better place for you to start.
Veronica Mowery Yes thats why it says "more like retail" The claim to be wholesale but anyone off the street can come in and buy a bag for the same price so how is that wholesale. Need to go direct to factorys and not the wholesale shops.
Veronica Mowery 350 rmb is a bit to expensive. but what you order on ebay for the same price is very cheap quality. good quality leather bags are minimum 100 euro otherwise that's PU
Yep thats why I seed more like retail. They just try to make as much money as they can at once and not look at long game where you would come back for years buying stock.
hi nav san i am planning to go to guangzhou.for womens clothes for my shop here in holland.could you advise me if it is a good decision and if yes then which wholesale market will be best in guangzhou...thanks keep it u u have nice videos
Its good if your going to buy a lot but if just small then not worth it they will not give you good prices unless you buy lots. What type of clothing? Lots of places in gz. When are you planing to go?
Thanks i am planning to go in august.i can buy per artikle 20 pcs.i tried to search online wholesalers but not successfull.thats why i just want to see there .
20pcs is low I don't know if it would be cost cost effective unless your going to buy 100's of styles. Cost of shipping, flight, hotel, etc your looking at 1500 to 2000 pounds min thats before you buy anything. I'm going next month send me some info on things your looking for I will get some info for you, there is wholesalers close to where I stay. google wechat and get a account and send me your id name I will pass it on to wholesalers and they will contact you on wechat. You will need letter of invite for business visa. Oh August its very hot up to 40c
+Bob Jambo Hi Bob hard to say how much money to need it all depends on how many pcs you want to buy. Its always better to take more then you need you can always bring the money back but your short of money and you want to buy then you're stuck. If I was you take $5000 min and then if your short you can have someone send you money by westen uni. You will need to declare the money when you arrive but if you dnt have bussines visa they will not let you do any bussines. Also don't forget about shipping cost which could be $1000+. Have you been to GZ before?
Because in China they only look at short term plan to make max amount of money from you in one go not thinking about long term that you will come back and buy more. If you go to buy 1 bag or 100 bags they will charge you the same and anyone off the street can just go in and buy 1 so how is the wholesale. You have to spend a lot of time to find wholesaler to give you right price all will give you retail price at first. Its taken me years to find good wholesalers but never stop looking for new. Translators cost a lot just like the wholesalers they will over charge (max money in one go) My friend helped me so not used translators and would never use even when I'm alone. If you going to GZ and need any advice I'm happy to help.
