"Fox Boy" is written from the perspective of a Twitch chatter who thinks they have fallen in love with their favourite streamer. These parasocial relationships are a very real phenomenon, especially in the world of virtual-tubers (streamers that use avatars). "Fox Boy" is part of the album "Sad Drunk and Needy" which tells about the ups and downs of being single again in the digitalized life of ones 20s. The lyrics contain half-hearted fuck yous and glimpses of butterflies. Out in August 2023.

Incredible song. For those of us who fell in love unintentionally with a furry streamer, this song resonates with our emotional struggle. It's not gonna work, it isn't really love, but the tiniest attention from someone we consider a celebrity has such power that our weak hearts can't help but feel entrapped by it. Ultimately it leads to obsession and infatuation, regardless of our ability to see the truth

Well, this was a random gem suggested by YT at 2:30 am! As an oldfur of 48, it's amazing the world we live in and the technology that's come about in the last 20 years, let alone 30. I remember in 2003 I got a copy of ACID Music Producer or whatever it was called, and I made a bunch of songs. Didn't do much with them, but because of Napster and Limewire, they were ALL over the internet for a long time! Now video and audo production are just a few clicks away, what a time to be alive! But yes, a very cool song and very well done. Not to mention it hits on the whole 'online relationships' of the modern age. Things are only going to get more complicated as the years go by!

I rarely comment on videos but I was pleasantly surprised here. This is 🔥. The vocals sound amazing , the music is great , the lyrics is a very common experience and you can top it all off with this video edited on a godlike level. I love everything about this. This, is quality. These are the things that should get millions of views and listens, not weird 2 minute effort 3 second memes. Criminally underrated as of now. Great work on the song! One day I’d like to make stuff like this too, it’s really inspiring :D The chorus is stunning. It perfectly captures that feeling of developing a crush. When I listen to it, I can feel the butterflies! This is by no means a criticism, probably more like an open discussion, but I’m a bit confused by the bridge. It’s tinged with regret, but if the song is about that feeling of falling in love, where does regret play a role? Especially since it’s followed by a renewal of determination (“I won’t give up on you” in the final chorus). A crush is exciting *because* it’s uncertain, but fears and uncertainty are different from regret. (Unless that regret isn’t a final regret, but the cyclic feeling you can’t make progress? Like you can’t close the gap? That’s my best guess.) There’s obviously more to analyze in the song, but I’ll cut it there for now. But if anyone wants to continue the discussion I’d love to! Furry stuff and media analysis, two of my favorite things :3 And I look forward to more Whsprs!! ❤💛

I fell for them hard in the couple of days we had together before they had to go back home. I sometimes think about what my life would be now if I could have convinced them to stay here with me.
