It was a transitional time. From all the older rappers that we were very familiar with, a wave of new rappers came and took music and rap/hip-hop by storm. Genre defining period and I feel lucky to have been part of it.

i do think rap is on a downward spiral, i think rock will rise up soon. Pop has got so predictable and repetitive whilst rap is just clones of others rappers, very few new rappers have their own sound.
