I saw that too. I am also retired LEO and moved from Washington State to Texas four years ago. The most obvious reason left out in this video is that West Coast police/fire pensions are very generous (Mine includes annual COLA and a medical plan). Your money goes a lot further in Texas and you pay less taxes. And unless you volunteer the information, no one even knows/cares you're a retired cop.
@@lisasdfwhightechworld9946 in the case of law enforcement there’s certification and the individual department hiring requirements. At minimum an out of state cop can just take a test with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (the agency that certifies police officers in Texas) for out of state cops or go through their department’s academy which can take several months. In either case you’re effectively staring over as a rookie unless you’re coming in to take a chief position.
Hello again Dana (& Pastor Brandon)......greetings from the Greater Sacramento area of Northern California, thanks! I still have a strong heart's desire to move to the Lone Star State of Texas but......God has not yet intervened. 😔 Still praying and hoping that It will be His Will and not mine, to relocate to the DFW Metroplex in 2024. 😊🙏🙏🙏📖 (Matthew 7:7)
