I love how your pages are not completely filled. I have a lot of trouble drawing freely because I feel like every page cannot be wasted, filling them until they’re full. I love how your sketches are big and cross the page! It gives such a free feeling that I miss

Thank you! Sketchbooks have no rules and should be raw, imperfect, and messy 😊

Often, people (including myself) get lost in this imaginary scenario where other people would scrutinize their sketchbook leaving them stressing on making beautiful drawings each page. This results to empty sketchbooks that i, myself is also guilty of. Now, i learned to treat my sketchbooks as my own personal journal caring less and less on how people would perceive it.

Thank you for sharing your experience! It's a powerful reminder that our sketchbooks are personal spaces for growth, not perfection. Your shift in perspective is inspiring and encourages us all to embrace our creativity without fear of judgment. Thanks!

For me, my sketchbook is my security blanket. It's so easy to get lost in my book and forget the world❤❤

Made an art trip to Matsumoto the other day. Was worried about rain. But to my fortune no rain came. So i spent some 6 hours drawing any and everything that caught my eye in my little book. I drew the hooks of the train handles. I drew some passengers. I drew a crooked tree I saw. I drew the clay bowl from which I drank matcha tea. And finally I sat kn a bench and drew Matsumoto castle for 3 hours until my fingers hurt from the cold. A wonderful day.

@ChrisWilsonStudio All the better, we have been completely covered in snow in the last 2 hours. So I can't get to Matsumoto now even if I wanted to. So I'm very fortunate indeed. But! Now I have a snowy landscape to draw right outside my window. It's really quite great. Please keep on making the things you are. It's really wonderful to experience the joy of sketching alongside somebody =)

I find your sketches quite inspiring, as well as motivating. Beautiful in simplicity, yet complex in forms; Inviting with technique, yet vast with possibilities. These videos have guided my hand back towards the pencil, and onwards to the page. Best of wishes in your pursuits. I will wait, hopeful for future videos.
