Why a trip to the petrol station is harming your health 

I admit that I buy the big bag, but I make it last several months - eating a few a day. Dietary willpower is one of my strengths; always has been. I do have my weaknesses, of course. I am an adrenaline junky; since I was old enough to walk. For this reason you will not find a motorcycle in my garage, in spite of the fact that I have always wanted one, and could easily afford to own one. I would end up a red smear and I know it. But, instead of lamenting every day that I don't get to own a motorcycle, I use it as a badge of intellectual honor. It reminds me that I am in control of my life, and have at least some power over the primitive elements of my brain. If my weakness was refined carbohydrates, I would do the same.

Totally disagree. The government needs to stay out trying to force certain social behaviors. Let the free market work. I agree that there are lots of incentives (price and convenience) that make it easy to pick unhealthy foods. However people need to take personal responsibility and make healthy choices. When buying groceries I never leave the outside edges of the store (produce, meats & seafood, dairy and eggs). I do this because the inside aisles are too tempting for me and are packed with junk (cookies, pop, chips, etc).
